Popular DVC Times

A few posts have highlighted popular DVC'er times that make it increasingly difficult to find something at the 7 month window. What times are most popular with which DVC resorts? We want to go in early march next year (before the usual public school breaks- although I am sure we'll coincide with some). We want to go during college spring break time. We're hoping for BWV, but willing to do OKW if necessary.

You have a good shot at getting the BWV in early March at the 7 month mark unless you are trying to get a standard view or a guaranteed Boardwalk view.

The easiest times of the year to get any DVC resort at the 7 month mark are January thru mid-February (before President's Day week), May and September.

Both EPCOT resorts are especially tough to get during October - December.

For the BWV, spring break time and summer are easier than the fall months listed above(not including the holiday weeks, especially the Easter weeks. Those can be quite difficult at 7 months, too).

Standard views, guaranteed Boardwalk views and Grand Villas are difficult at 7 months for all times of the year.

Carol has it right except in the past two years or so the first week in January has become very popular time at DVC, it is really a spill over of the Christmas week plus more schools have off that week now. As a matter of fact I would avoid the second week in Jan also because for the past two years there has been a builders convention of over 100,000 members things can get busy that week also. Times are changing slightly down there.

Hmm...we were hoping for a two-bedroom, standard view. We'll I guess we'll just try our luck and see what happens. We've reserved at SSR as a back up, just in case.
