Okay, forgive me if this is a stupid idea, but am looking for any feedback. Way back when we first started dating, we attended my high school's senior ball which was held at a local winery. Now, as we begin to map out wedding details, I thought it would be a nice touch to have personalized miniature wine bottles from this paticular winery as favors. I know that is not unusual, but I was wondering if we could also use them as placecards - tying cards onto the bottles with coordinating ribbon.

My concern is that the bottles will be too bulky or fragile and will only be a nuisance during the dinner. Also, since we will be shipping them from WNY, I am concerned about delivery and storage. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for the help!! :worship:

I can't help you with the storage/shipping issue. But I can tell you we attended a wedding a couple years ago that used personalized wine bottle as placecard holders/favors and it worked great. The bottles were about half the size of a normal bottle of wine. Each couple got one bottle, and they weren't in the way at all during dinner.

I'm not familiar with it, but I love the idea. Can you tell me where you're getting them? We're looking for classy wedding favors and those fit our family so well.

I think that's a wonderful idea. It means something to you and now you'll share that with your guests... :thumbsup2

I don't think they'll be in the way.

Thank you everyone!

To answer JessHooper: The winery we will be using is Casa Larga in WNY. We are actually very near the Finger Lakes region, which is known for its wineries, and many of them have the mini bottle favors. One of them is actually a back-up venue if the WDW plan does not pan out. I'm not sure where you are located, but you can always Google it for a local supplier (yeah, my answer for everything!). Let me know if I can help you out further.

Thanks again to everyone!!
