Question about room block

Does anyone know if the discount to your guest's room block work for upgrades as well? :confused3 For example, my parents and a few other guests are interested in staying in a villa at the Boardwalk (which is our Deluxe hotel). The room block states the standard room rates, but doesn't mention anything about upgraded rooms. I left a voicemail for Kristi Davis, but she's on vacation till next week. Just wanted to know if anyone had some answers out there. :confused3 Thanks. :cool1:

i don't think that it does, I was asking about staying concierge and they said they would give me 10% off....Yipee(sarcasm, but I guess it is better than nothing)! It would still be 500 per night - but let me know if that is incorrect.

Id be interested to know also, my parents are staying in the Yacht Club which is our deluxe hotel, as they are paying for our wedding i would love to pay for an upgrade for them!

My DD's SM said in her email that accompanied the room block form to call her for information on upgraded rooms, so Im sure you can get a discount on them. We didnt ask how much though.

Im not too familiar with the villas at the boardwalk. However, I do know that if a villa is considered a suite, then Disney gives a 10% discount. My family is getting a suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for part of the week of the wedding and we are recieving a 10% discount! Not a lot, but something! Sorry if that's not what you are looking for! :)
