Finally first place in fireworks lol

I know I wasn't playing with the best players, and I know it's a low score, but it was exciting just to come in first anyway :).

Woot!! A Day... that is how it starts... you get 220... then back down... then up to 230... then back down then up to 240... and back down.

Congrats! Yeah. It does feel good to come in first. Even when you know you weren't playing with the best. :)

I finally won my first game of fireworks, too! :-D

And it gave me a link to a certificate I could print out and redeem for ... a VMK wristband?! The same one I already got by doing the regular park quests?

Question - when you get good enough to score 240,000 or above, do you want to get just above that or just below that, and why?

You want to get 240,000 or higher, but NOT come in first place so you can get the fireworks pin :) Also second place awards more credits than first place --- I forget by how much exactly after the credits were lowered. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense...

The new pointage system on fireworks bites! You have some awesome players who could easily score 260,000+ but here's why they don't.

When you score 240,000, reach the last level and come in 2nd or worst place; you get close to 1,000 credits. I'll give you an exact number when I play tomorrow since everyone's been blowing the game, I usually get 1st place. Now, when you come in 1st place, reach the 5th level and score above 240,000; you only get 600 credits. Which doesn't make sense at all when you are the top scorer. So because of that, you have loads of great players barely reach the 240,000 mark and stop; so they will not come in 1st place and get more credits.

Hope that makes sense. Anywhoodle, I think vmk should defnitely change that; it just doesn't make sense to me. So do whatever you feel like, whether you cheat yourself and get good credits or try to the best you can every time and receive less. ;)

I completely agree with Pirate Daisy. I am good at fireworks. I can now easily score above 250K and I believe my highest score ever was 261K. Sometimes I want to actually compete in fireworks. I might be playing against people that I know are just as good or better than me in the game, but so many people stop right at 240K. I have finally given up and joined their ranks. I think the competition now is how quickly you stop once you reach the 240K mark. Overall, I think that the game would be more fun if winning first place awarded more credits.

Congratulations to AmberDaze and ElectricLime for winning first place! Yay! You really do get better the more you play. :) I think I caught on to fireworks much more quickly than any of the other games, but I can remember just barely being able to score over 200K.

Ya know... I have won fireworks in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place... in the past two weeks I have won, on my main, over 8 fireworks badges... MOST from second place but 2 from 1st and 1 from 3rd..... All over 240,000 points.

I got to see Naivmap in person (well vmk person) and his siggy said something like "no need to stop at to for oh when I am playing" Cracked me up, but I have taken it heart. I will never get any better if I keep stopping at 240,045 lol. So I am now part of a club called... dont stop until you get to the top fireworks club, and I wont stop at 240... (currently I am the only official memeber)

Congratulations on your win! Yea, seems a lot of people (me included) try to stop close just over 240,000 for the better credits. If you earn 240,000 plus points but don't win, you get 1,000 credits - plus for getting into level five, you win 300 credits - grand total is 1,300 credits. The winner gets 375 credits for winning, and 300 credits for getting into level five - grand total is 675 credits.
