I called Disney travel today, and asked for a quote for April 2002. The quote she gave me was for my family of 4 (me, my husband, 6yo ds & 2 yo ds) and was for 4 nights at Disneyland Hotel, 4 hopper passes, & breakfast 1 morning at a buffet with a character. This does not include airfare (which we do not need). I really need to know if this is a good price before I put down $200 on it. This price also includes a 10% discount (because I am in the Disney club, and Disneyland Hotel gives 10% discount on rooms). The price she quoted me was $1351.

Thanks very much in advance

It might be alittle high--have you tried www.getawaytoday.org to compare? I know that there has been some people on the boards who have used them for their travel. You might do a search to read old posts. I haven't used their services--but you might want to try to compare. I would also call Disneyland hotel direct--ask for their best rate--mention that you are Disney Club member--and ask for best available rate. You can purchase your hopper tickets with your Disney Club card at DL or at Disney Store before you go. I tend to think that most packages for that far out are going to be alittle pricey right now.

We are planning on going in June '02--I'm starting to check prices as well--I think if the parks/hotels continue with the low turnouts there will be alot of deals in the Spring/summer (hoping anyway!) Keep us posted on what you find out! Good Luck!

Thank you for your response.

I did try getaway vacations, and they said their 2002 prices would be available the beginning of November, so I will try them then.

I did call Disneyland Hotel directly, and after pricing the hotel & the passes, I found out that they quoted me about $300 more than if I did it myself!! That was a room with a view too!

So, thank you again. I am out to get the best bargain I can now, and will not take the first thing that I see.

Good--I'm glad you're looking for the best deal you can get! I'm the same way too! I will contact the getaway vacation people too in Nov.--I'd be very interested to see what they quote us. I hope they will have some great deals when we want to go in June--they are having such good deals now--if we weren't already going on our 1st trip to WDW in November, we would be headed to DL in December! LOL!

Good luck in your planning--do you mind telling me the price DLH quoted you for your room? I am also a Disney Club member and have AAA. I would really like to stay on-site again at DL--it was so great! I was hoping to get a room for under $150 a night.

Thanks again! :)

Hi again-

The Disneyland Hotel quoted me $205 a night for lower level, $235 for lower level with a view, and $255 for upper level with a view. When you figure out how many nights, & your hopper pass, that is a significant savings over the "package" I called about from Disney travel.
