Read the press release, New Walt Disney World Attraction Unleashes an Avalanche of Adventure and Surprises (http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/04-07-2006/0004336339&EDATE=), April 7, PRNewswire — which includes the following:
Later this year, more new theme park fun is in store for Walt Disney World guests:
— "Finding Nemo-The Musical," debuting late 2006 at Disney's Animal Kingdom, will bring the undersea world that charmed audiences in the Disney presentation of the Pixar Animation Studios film "Finding Nemo" to life in an all-new stage spectacular featuring original songs by Tony Award-winning "Avenue Q" composer Robert Lopez and a cappella musical "Along the Way" composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez; and
— The Seas with Nemo & Friends, opening fall 2006 at Epcot, will be a whimsical and visually stunning attraction in The Living Seas pavilion featuring technology that for all appearances has the stars of "Finding Nemo" swimming amid the live marine life of the huge aquarium in an adventure that picks up where the motion picture left off.

Disney also released concept art and full descriptions of what the Nemo ride and show are like.. They also released some concept are of POTC.. There is a new sign at the entrance of POTC.. It will be a pirate ship sail with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN written on it.... Looks like in the same font as the movie font.

Does anyone know if they announced the DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge? It was rumored this was going to be announced today at the press conference. I have been searching several sites this afternoon and can find no mention of it.

Disney did not announce a DVC resort at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Disney doesn't announce new DVC resorts at big press events.
So far, Disney Vacation Development (DVD) has announced each new DVC resort quietly through a press release. The timing of the press release seems to be when the plans can no longer be kept a secret — such as when they start to file timeshare registrations or when actual site preparation and contruction are imminent. The news appears in real estate publications, Orlando area publications, a few publications elsewhere, and on websites such as this one. The rest of the world takes no notice.
Disney waits until the point at the new DVC resort can be sold to the public before cranking up the publicity for that resort.
