Daytona USA and beach day trip

Has anyone done the Daytona USA and beach trip? What were your thoughts about it? Have you done any other trips that you would recommend?

I've never been to Daytona, but have spent a lot of time on the atlantic coast of Florida.
I much prefer the Gulf coast to the Atlantic.

Went to Daytona many years ago, to be honest it looked a bit run-down, much prefer the west coast with Clearwater and St.Pete's.
Further to travel from Central Florida but the beaches are much nicer.

Is this a Tour Operator arranged one?

I have not been to Daytona but I would think if you haven't got a car it might be a nice outing if you can bear to drag yourselves away from the parks :)

What other trips were you thinking of doing? I'm not going to be very helpful for "arranged" ones as I have always done things independently, but if you have other things in mind others may be able to help :)

Our view as well. We drove along the Daytona Beach just to say we had done it and came away.
