Does anyone have any experience with Westjet pricing, and whether or how often they have seat sales. We are travelling with Airmiles, but have family members travelling with us. I was wondering if we should book right away or whether I can expect a price break for our late August trip.

We booked our tickets about 3 months in advance (Travelling in May.) We just bit the bullet and bought the tickets and we're glad we did. The prices have only gone up and up and UP! We never did see a seat sale and the flight has since sold out. Before i booked though, i called Westjet and asked about a price guarantee. They said that if a lower fair came out we could change our tickets for $30/person. So, depending how much you like to gamble.....

Westjet usually posts their seat sales on weekends, although sometimes they pop up on other days as well. They also have "Blue Tag Thursdays" that start at 4:00 pm that have some sale fares. Right now their seat sales are for May and June. If you are looking at travelling in August, I would keep an eye on the fares, but you may not get a seat sale until later in May or June. When you find a good fare, book it right away as they can disappear at any time.
