Traveling with my DD and her best friend to WDW next April..but...
..All three of us have different last names..
What should I bring for ID for the girls?
Should I have a note from my daughter's bestfriend's Mom?
My daughter has a passport is that enough for her?

passport is always sufficient id - sometimes better then drivers license. You can also get a state id- I believe you can get those at the dmv- otherwise you can call and ask- there are id's that have been notorized that work-

I agree, a passport is the best idea of all.
Absolutely you should get a notarized letter from the other childs parent saying you can take her out of state, and also giving you permission to seek medical care for her if need be. If her parents are divorced, you might also need one from her father.

hi: we've done this many times over the years, and i just double-checked with continental last week. a school id is sufficient for teens travelling with you. most high school ids have pictures on them.

I have been told by AA that no ID is needed for those under 18. (the last time I checked was last week)

Thanks everyone, Both girls are in high school, so I think I will have each one of them bring the high school ID's they are issued, along with a letter from bestfriend's mom..Hope this works!
Thanks for all your replys..if anyone else has more suggestions..feel free...:)

Hi, US Airways said that any minor traveling with parents or legal guardians do not need photo id's. :) I didn't ask about traveling w/o parents/legal guardians, but I would suggest contacting your specific airline.

Just to reinforce an earlier response-PLEASE don't forget the notarized statement re: medical care. You hope you never need it, but it can be such a mess if you get in a situation of medical need and you don't have it.
