Question about Southwest

Does anyone know why Southwest's website is bringing up a no fare message when one checks fares? I was just checking fares from DTW to LAX (going May 2002) and it tells me that there is no published fares for Oct 2001. Usually I can bring up fares, but this is weird. Any info would be great, and is that the only airline that is doing that??

Southwest only posts fares for about 6 months(or something like that)out. Currently, you can only view rates for flying through Jan 11, 2002. I check everyday, as we're going in May also. I read somewhere that they should be opening up soon....

I have been able to check fares only to compare month by month on the site. I just click on fares, and then Detroit and Los Angeles, (of course Southwest doesn't fly from Detroit to SNA....makes no sense, most of the other major airlines do) and it brings up fares, but not this time. I will go back and check and see if it's fixed tho.

it is odd, the first time they show any flights is on November 1, 2001.
BTW, they also fly into Ontario, CA, not sure if that is a help.
