Newbie- Epcot Progress/Mailing- 6/30.. Please check post #239

Hello,

I know the deadline is way off but thought I would start a little thread to keep everyone up-to-date on how we are all doing! Thanks RealMickeysGirl for a great set up!! Thanks StitchIsOurHero for the great way to list each member!!!

Due date is June 30th (that is when I need to receive your package. I will wait one week to return them just in case someone‘s doesn‘t arrive on schedule, that will get us through the July 4th holiday too).

A. PM me with your DIS name, name and address - so I can pre-address the return envelopes.
B. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled.
C. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
D. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each element. You‘ll have 12 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) Ziploc bag. - be sure to include your name, your DIS name. On the larger envelope please put your mailing address on your bag.
E. Please use the Flat Rate Envelopes ($4.05) or the Flat Rate Box ($8.10) to mail your packages of goodies to me! Include $4.05 for envelope postage (or stamps if you don't want to send cash) to return your items or $8.10 for the box postage.
F. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.

Thank goodness for school vacation next week. I need the time away from my students and their IEP's to really get to work. I've gotten most of what I need. I totally understand where you are coming from!!! We have 2 a week track meets here too..plus we have 2 in soccer.. Sitting out baseball this year.. :confused3 Than we have 2 in basketball for the spring.. It's been really crazy around here too! Don't worry about checking in!!! If you need anything just hollar! I don't think there is anything that says they have to be tags.. they just have to fit in the pocket! If it works go ahead!!! I think it would be fine.. And if your creativity is going, run with it!!!!

I finished my tags today! Somehow I'd had it in my head that this sawp was for 5 or 6 people. Imagine my surprise when I went back and checked the details. I'm glad I did though!

Two of my friends had Patriot's day off from work so they came over to scrap. With their focus to help me, I finished my first ever set of shaker boxes. I'm so pleased with how they came out. I hope everyone else is too.

My stuff should ship out tomorrow.

Well I've got my tags cut out, they will also be upside down! I will only say that it will make perfect sense when you see them!!!!! I also have a friend with a Craft Robo cutting out the EPCOT logo multiple times for me so save a LOT of hand cutting. So all is progressing nicely.

LOL, You know when I was standing in line and saw the ribbon she was returning, I kept thinking, how am I going to get it. :rotfl2: No, really when I made it to the cash register I was going to ask them if I could get it, but the guy took off with it so I stalked (oops meant watched) him and he just threw it in the $1 bin. I'm so glad I was there then and saw it. When I saw where he put it I looked around for more and those were the only rolls I saw. Anyway, I was just glad I got it, pretty sad to be so excited over ribbon. :lmao:

I noticed that the Library Pocket and Tag is not taken in that group so, if it's still OK, I would like to switch those elements. I've seen it done both ways.. It really doesn't matter to me.. I usually just put my name and group number on it to make things a little easier...but I'm fine with either way!!!

No, you aren't a bad mom for thinking she wouldn't make it.. I think as mom's we sometimes set ourselves up to think they won't make it so that we can make it easier on the kids if they aren't accepted! My DD was accepted into the journalism class and will be working on the yearbook for her middle school next year.. she was one of only 7 kids chosen from her grade level.. I didn't think she would make it either with the number of kids that applied!
Congrats to your DD though!!! I need to get motivated to work on the final swap projects too.. that will have to be later today because I have kids out and about today...

No, we didn't get the hail..but my dh was with DS at basketball practice about 3 miles away and he said they were getting slammed with hail.. :confused3 My kids dislike us driving in hail too...

I sit on the porch during the day as the storm began to roll in...but as soon as that wicked wind kicked up I was standing in the house watching!

Well, our hail finally came in today.. about 15 minutes before I had to pick up my oldest from basketball camp.. If this is any indication as to what our next four years are going to be like, I'm going to LOVE IT!!! They came home yelling out the bus windows, and glad to be home!!! ;) Than they all went into hysterics because someone came in and got one of the seniors! I think most of us parents were pretty tickled at the amount of effort this prank took..but the effort was good clean fun.. no damage!

Anyway, thank you for my goodies!!! I love them!!! Just in time to because I'm trying to scrap our 2005 epcot trip!!! Everything looks awesome!!!

So far today has been nice and the weekend is suppose to be too.. The kids nearly freaked out when they sounded the weekly tornado testing! I had to laugh.. they are use to it at school but didn't realize how it sounded at home! We have 3 within blocks of here! I say we are pretty much covered!

Yes, most of the schools are out now.. I believe.. My kids in the midwest get out the end of May. Many others don't get out until now (lots of the Eastern US just got out today and yesterday). My kids go back to school mid-August.

Tornados are very wicked here. We have had several touch down around this area in the past few months. They are great to see on tv but having had several nearby...no way wouldn't want it! I do remember as a child seeing one go past our house.. it was the tail end of it just touching the ground.. I don't remember what the classification was but it did some major damage to the school; lucky for us we had just gotten out for summer break the week before....

Okay, here's the scoop. I just found out today that the school system's human resource department does not have my application, resume, etc, etc. on file. So, I have to refill out everything again. My file folder of stuff is missing here at home--I don't even want to discuss that little fact--so I am having to recreate everything! Even my resume document won't open correctly!!! GRRRRR

So, I have worked all day on that and need to finish up tomorrow morning. Then I will finish my stuff in the afternoon and hopefully mail Wednesday.

Here is the update.. I have 2 individuals I have had no response from.. I angelled them so that we would all get our stuff correctly..
So, for group 2 & 3... you will have one extra little goodie from the opposite group to cover that angelled spot number 1...
Than group 1 my DD (PrincessJordan) angelled one spot.. so I thought if it was okay with all of you I would give her that extra set of elements... Than group 2 & 3 again would get extra little goodies (chosen randomly) for each of us from angel spot #2...
