What is up with the Good Time -> Guy?

Hi! My camera is the Canon S2-IS and I love it. I thought I captured some great firework shots with it as well. I was really happy with the results. My family and I were lucky enough to go to 2 parties last year. I was so glad because we didn't get to see everything at the first party. I still didn't manage to see the Villians mix and mingle though. Well, there's always next year...

The camera worked out great in Disney World! I only had it for a short time, but mostly all my pictures came out beautifully. The pictures I posted on this thread were taken with the S2. I'll PM you with some tips if you'd like. :goodvibes

That was in 2005, when they kept all the "day guests" roped off in one section of the park. We knew from past experience that if we wanted to see Toontown decorated and the characters in costume, that we'd have to go there first. We were held in Liberty Square/Frontierland for the 2005 party, and were released just a few minutes before the official start of MNSSHP and went straight there. My middle son wanted his face painted, so my husband waited in the line with him and I walked toward Mickey's house with DD and there was Mickey! It was very sweet :love: When we finished at Mickey's house, we went to see the characters in the tent. There was no one in the Princess room, either. It was really neat.

Now that there is no distinction between the end of the park day and the beginning of MNSSHP, an uncrowded Toontown does not exist.

It's alright! It is confusing, though, since guests aren't allowed to wear masks. So he must have been with the park. Maybe someone had him hold the bag for a second, and that's just when you took the pictyre? I don't know. But it would be very cool if he's there for pictures this year! I've never met a Muppet :)

Ok, seeing all these photos almost has me convinced to take my 2 kids to MNSSHP. I don't like wearing costums, but I really don't think my 11 DS will be wearing one, would he be like the only kid NOT wearing a costume?? I know my dd will have no trouble wearing princess costume.

I think it's more likely that he got the mask by the CM's somehow. Not only does the person have a bag, but they have the purple wristband on their sleeve. The lady in the photo has the same wristband. Has the "no mask" policy always been in effect?

Not too sure about the policy but there were other guest in the park that day that had on masks. :confused3: There were 2 guys dressed up as....ummm please don't hate me but the guys from StarWars that wore those hard all white suits?? They were there and guests of the park and EVERYONE was running up to them and taking pictures with them.

As for kids dressing up, My DH and I saw the majority of the kids dressed but I did see the older ones (13-16) trick or treating in just casual attire. It's alot of fun and we've gone dressed and not dressed. I say GO! It's alot of fun and at the end of the night you are beat and LOADED with candy :) I can't WAIT!!

Hehehehe, they're Stormtroopers. I have Stormtrooper armor myself. Can't say I'd be keen on wearing it to the party though, it's dreadfully difficult to see other than straight in front of you due to the way the eye part is for the helmet. I wouldn't be surprised if those two guys were from the same costuming club I'm in.

Hi Everyone! I'm soooo psyched! My boyfriend and I just bought into the DVC and are taking our first trip home to SSR this October! We will be at the MNSSHP on 10/4! I've always wanted to go to Disney for Halloween before and I can't wait to get down there this year!!! I own a dance studio up here in Mass so it's hard to get away during the school year! Do a lot of adults dress up for the party? My boyfriend is all nervous he'll be the only big kid dressed up lol

I tried getting a refund, they said the tix are non-refundable. They are still at will call, so we don't even have them. I can't eBay something we don't have so that's out. My sis may have to see if there are any takers after she arrives and picks them up and then I'll have to eat the cost of any that don't sell. I really don't want to throw away $200 though.............

In '05 we were all set to attend, room booked , tickets at will call. The day before we were to drive down my Dad died unexpectedly. I contacted Sue Ellen, my DU TA and she was able to cancel everything and Disney was nice enough to refund the tickets. After the insanity we rebooked the trip for November so Disney really didn't lose any money on the deal since we stayed longer and booekd a higher room category.

Those are great pictures!!!! I have to ask, where did you take the fireworks over the castle ones, and did you use a tripod?? They are really sharp!!:thumbsup2

No tripod, I think that we were actually pretty far back, like around the little grassy area where the bench is in front of the train depot. The camera is/was a Sony cybershot, actually most of them were with our older model, a DSC-P9, it's a 4 megapixel. THe other is a DSC-W50, a 6 megapixel. The 6 is the newer camera and has more bells and whistles ( ie settings) but the old one still takes great photos. They both have digital and optical zoom.

disneyshopping.com has some adult costumes, but they're pricey. CHeck out e-bay for adult Disney costumes. I found -affordably- a Minnie Mouse & a Cinderella costume and they're really fabulous!

T shirts are great, just remember, it's still hot and humid during this event. We have gone the first week in October and always wind up hot and sweaty, I see kids that literally lok like they are melting in those hot fleece Stitch and Sully costumes. I know I wore a themed twin set (both long sleeved ) and wound up with the jacket around my shoulders or waist all night. Ruined the look :(

Unfortunately Disney doesn't sell any adult costumes that I am aware of - just kids costumes. Maybe you could always try purchasing a costume close to when you are going and have it shipped straight to the hotel since you are coming from the UK. Or if you are going to have a car at all on the trip you can pick one up when you get down to Florida. I know here in Connecticut the Halloween stores are all getting set to open for the season.

Yes, one parade, and the fireworks were at 10:10pm. They said it was still storming but you could see the fireworks.

Thanks!!! Actually DH was supposed to be prince charming, and I made one for him. DD was Cinderella, but the limited edition costume that had fiber optics in it, and I was supposed to be pink Sleeping Beauty, but DH left the costumes at home, and didnt realize until 10 minutes before we got to the hotel. So, needless to say, We ran to about 10 stores to try to find SOMETHING. I was soooooo mad at him!!!

I'm so glad to find you! My DH was so surprised when I told him you didn't work for Disney. I had to show him the blue armbands in the picture to prove you were guests. He thinks Disney should pay you guys because your costumes were better than the official ones in the parade.

We were there last night for the 10/21 party. It started out wet but dried out by the end of the first parade. Not too crowded either.

We didn't intend on going when we came up for this quick trip so we didn't really have costumes for the kids. But I happened to bring my son's Cars Pit Crew jacket and hat so it passed for a costume and my sister brought a little princess ballerina outfit with tutu for my neice and she did her hair all up.

I met her in the lego store Saturday and she regalled me with stories. She drives a scooter/ECV and her daughter designed the costume to suit her conveyence: fake seance table with black drape, globe over her head, scary hair and make-up. She said it took them 2 hours to get down main street because everyone stopped to take photos with them.

I figured this made the perfect costume for an ECV user as she just glided down the pathways. She said if she parked for a minute she could scare unsuspecting guests by just turning her head to say hello. And all the cast members were radioing each other to point her out.

We were there on the 18th and didn't see her either. I did see a lot of Haunted Mansion related costumes. There was a couple dressed as the tight rope walker and the guy with the red and white striped boxers from the portrait room. I also saw a bride with a beating heart, some of the ballroom dancers too

We went to the MNSSHP on Oct 30th. We waited for the second parade which was delayed and shortened because of rain. It also rained during Hallowishes. I wouldn't mind having some pics for my personal use also! We were there on the 30th and got absolutely soaked!! One family was nice enough to loan DS and I their extra poncho. I never got their names but if they are on here I want to say a huge "THANK YOU"!

We are wondering when they will be announced too!! DD, is thrilled to be going to MNSSHP, she went to her first disney 'party' (p&p)in Jan and is now hooked!! lol I think they are great fun, can't wait for October to come!! Any one now typically how busy it is on the 31st?? We will be there from Oct 22-Nov2 so we were contemplating going on Halloween, but the crowd levels kinda scare me...lol
