FORM OF PAYMENT FOR DEPOSIT WHEN FREE DINING STARTS FOR GENERAL PUBLIC-April 4th??

Was wondering if anyone here had asked a cm in the past few days about how the deposit is to be payed on the free dining package? I'm not a Disney Visa card holder and have to wait until tomorrow.

I called yesterday and was told that since it is a special package deal that you can only pay the deposit with a credit card at the time of reserving it and that they won't do the 14 day hold with the option to mail a check.

I would really prefer to mail a check but I also know how the cm's can give out wrong information.

Does anyone know for sure if tomorrow we can only pay the deposit with a cc or will we be able to have the 14 day hold with the option to mail a check???

just bumping up---has anyone had any responses from CRO on this??? I 've also edited the title from August to April --I accidentally put our trip month in the title instead of tomorrows date for the free dining package to open up :rolleyes2

I am a Disney card holder, and called on Saturday to make my reservation. They put a 14 day hold for me, without asking for a credit card to reserve. I spoke to someone later in the day (to add a day), and still no deposit asked for. I did call yesterday to give them my credit card and put down the deposit. Each time I verified that I would be getting the free dining.

The first person I spoke with did not seem very knowledgable, for example told me I had to get base tickets for the package, but could not upgrade to park hopper, so maybe that is why I was able to put a hold. Good luck!

With the Disney Visa, an instant deposit was supposed to be required. As far as I know, when a general offer comes out, normal booking guidelines apply.

As of tomorrow, standard rules apply. You will have 14 days to make your deposit either by check or credit card
