I'm looking for any pictures that show the size of the balconies and the views from them, along with the room numbers. I've stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and was wondering if the balconies size was similar. I'm leaning towards Beach, Yacht, Boardwalk, and Poly. Really I'm looking for a room with a larger balcony that could be the setting for a nice romantic dinner. Ideally, the doors would be french doors as opposed to sliding.

Any pics anyone? Thanks for the help, I need it!!!!

Here's a BWV BW view studio - rm 3013. Balconies are fairly small in most rooms although there are a few rooms that have deep balconies. My sister had a studio over Thimbles & Threads that was VERY deep - but enclosed so you had to stand to see anything. (Cannot remember room # but it was the 2nd floor) Her balcony you coudl enjoy a dinner on - most others there's just enough room for two chairs and a small table :)

We've only ever had French Doors but I am not sure if that's different in non DVC hotels.

There are some great photos here (http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=504) taken by DIS members.
Just click the resort you want from the list - there are all sorts of photos of course but definitely some very nice balcony views!

We're going this fall too and have been searching for views of the boardwalk. We'll be in a 2bedroom villa pref & hoping for BW view. Your pic is so pretty - hope to see others posted here!

Sorry to say - you will not have a Boardwalk view if you have only booked "preferred" view. Since Preferred View and Boardwalk View are the same # of points - call Member Services and see if there's availability for a Boardwalk View.

Here's a daylight picture :) http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e160/MQuara/DisneyWorld2006030.jpg

We had a gorgeious view form our room at Yacht Club last year. (room # in siggy, also it was a very long walk to the room but the view made it worth the hike lol) Unfortunately I don't have a picture on my computer. But we could see the lighthouse over the lake and at night we could see Illuminations from our very big balcony. That view was probably one of my favorite things about our last trip.

Hehe picture it, standing on the balcony your honey's arms wrapped arounf you all the while watching the fireworks..absolutely wonderful :wizard:

The room we had at Boardwalk Villas was great too (room # in siggy) The view from this room was of the main pool area with Tower of Terror in the background. One morning we woke up and there were several hot air balloons floating over MGM..good times :goodvibes

there are some pretty big balconies on the second (?) floor of BC, in the curve that the BC rooms share with the BCV - the section pointing towards EPCOT. Unfortunately, we were on the floor above, with the teeny-tiny ones.

MQuara - thanks for your pictures - absolutely beautiful! and yes I did request Boardwalk view - can't wait!! (I forgot to put in I did request it :thumbsup2 ) Am renting points for first time so am anxious!

Here are some pictures of our balcony at the Polynesian, and of the views we had from room #3503, in the Hawaii (concierge) building. The balcony itself was a very nice size, one night we had about 8 people standing out there watching the fireworks, and we had room to spare. Also, there is a larger table inside the rooms at the Polynesian that is on wheels and would be perfect to bring outside for a nice romantic dinner

This is the view from the balcony of room #: 5032 at the Wilderness Lodge.

Here is the view from our balcony at BWV (Rm. 3031?). It was a small balcony with two chairs and a small table, but the view was perfect!

This is the view I had from the Polynesian (Tokelau) Room #: 1913.

I know these weren't on your list but I couldn't resist posting :thumbsup2
View of YC/BC & Epcot from the Swan (studio room)
View toward Epcot from Dolphin king room (with 2 balconies)
View from the torret balconcy
View from torret balcony looking across at the Swan, we watched the boats go back and forth one day when dd was sick and we were stuck in the room, it was kinda fun considering, because we could see so much going on!
Although it's a bit dark, that's a view of MGM/TOT from the Dolphin (furthest east wing facing west top floor)
We have had some of the best views ever at the S/D and we've stayed at many of the WDW resorts, but never had views like these! :teeth:

Actually we were real close to having Terk-1's view at the WL, but I had to delay our trip a day and we lost that exact room and ended up with 5030, wasn't the same :guilty: had to really lean over toward the left to see the castle and it was a real noisey room right by the elevators..oh well :rolleyes2

JWFla422 - thanks for the pics - what a view!

04-09-2006, 10:28 AM

That is a gorgeous photo....OMG!!!! WOW!!!! Really makes you want to fork over the money and stay there just for the view!!!! Maybe I will do some remodeling on the house..next year...lol.

I recently stayed at the Yacht Club in a standard view room...this is what we got for a view:

Needless to say I was thrilled. The size of the balcony is the same as the other YC balconies that have been shown on this thread. I really liked this view, it was beautiful yet felt a bit more secluded and peaceful.

Finally was able to get back to this thread. I just love it too and thank you so much, DebIreland. I am by no means a photographer but that one was such a beautiful "accident", I amazed me! :teeth:
Here's another pix from a different trip. It is the view from BWI, Room 5304. Note the part of the building right in the center of the picture with the round window. That balcony to the right of that little window is the Concierge Lounge balcony.

The beach club balconys are different sizes - I think you just luck out or dont.

these are from the BCV 2BR - Epcot view - I dont remember room numbers though - you can see the size of the balcony pretty well - same size as the doorway

and this is the view of illuminations from that room

this was a pool view room - but the balcony was huge went all the way accross two rooms in a 1 BR Villa!

This is the view from room 3267 or 3269 at the Boardwalk Inn (we had both rooms and I can't remember what room this is from.

Looking slightly to the right:

Looking directly straight ahead:

and this is the size of the balcony (both rooms had the same size) - it was huge.

Here's another from the BWI - this time room 4256 in concierge - great view of Illuminations:

Here's a couple from the GF RPC, room 4414:

Looking to the right we could see the Poly and Epcot in the distance.

Looking ahead (we could just see Wishes in the far left)
