Hi! :wave2: My name is Jessi...I am 27 yrs old. I have currently lost 33 lbs with just some good old fashioned diet and exercise. I still have 18 lbs to go to get to my goal of 155lbs. I have 3 kids(dd9, ds6, dd2) and this left over weight is what's left from my pegnancies...(at least that's what I keep telling myself ;) ) Dh and I decided a couple weeks ago that we are going to run the 1/2 marathon in WDW this January so we are starting to train. We are going without our kids too!! I am so excited!! So anyway...I need a place to be accountable and what better place then the Dis! I have only lost 7 lbs in the past 4 months so I'd like to step up my workouts a little more and work on my food a little too! My weigh in days are on Mondays but I am a little obsessed with the scale so I weigh myself everyday.:rolleyes1 Even though I only go by what it says on Mondays. So my weigh in yesterday was 173lbs. My exercise so far this week is Sun- 2 mile run with DH (I am so excited that I ran the whole way!!) Mon- weights at home and aerobics class. Today I am going to do The Biggest Loser workout at home and then I have my water aerobics class tonight. I ate a bowl of Total with FF milk for breakfast this morning and am halfway through my first 33.8 oz bottle of water. Well I'm off to take the little ones out to play for a little while before lunch and naps. I'll check back in often.

SO after reading over my first post I decided to challenge myself with a new goal...staying off the scale until Monday! I have to admit that it was difficult this morning to just walk by the scale...I think it was a little offended that I blew it off because it tried really hard to lure me over... I think it has a lot to do with me not losing very much the past couple months. When I see the number go down a little I give myself permission to eat some things I probably shouldn't eat because I think I am doing so well and then that blows it all for me for the week. Did that even make sense?? Anyway so that's my goal for the week. Yesterday for lunch I had some yummy chicken salad (that I made) on wheat bread and some grapes. Then for dinner I had sausage that was cooked on the grill with some broccoli. I never did The Biggest Loser workout...I was being lazy, but I did make it to water aerobics. On the way there I discovered that I forgot to take out our leprechaun candy and had 5 mini reese's peanut putter cups. I guess I should explain...every year on St. Patrick's Day my kids build a trap to try to catch a leprechaun so they can have some of his gold (not sure when or where this idea came from...it certainly wasn't from me) So I had this brilliant idea to leave gold foiled Rolos one year...and that was it...now St Patty's day is as important to them as Easter and Christmas is :sad2: I Only I couldn't find Rolos this year so PB cups had to do.

Anyway...for dinner tonight I am making meatloaf with some brown rice and green beans. I have a lot of running around to do tonight so I don't know if I am going to get my extra workout in today. DD9 has softball practice at 5 and then talent show practice at 6 and I have aerobics at 6:45...oh and not to mention Lost is on tonight...we'll see, maybe I can squeeze in a few minutes on the elliptical somewhere in between all that....

I just realized that I posted what I'm making for dinner tonight but I forgot to post what else I ate today...

For b-fast I had a bowl of Total with FF milk and for lunch I had egg salad on wheat bread and some grapes...then I had 2 vanilla cream sugar wafers...see this is gonna keep me accountable...I never would have even thought of them again after I ate them...so that's it...oh and one bottle of water (about 4 cups worth) :)

So today's challenge of staying off the scale wasn't so hard. While watching Lost last night with DH I had a glass and a half of wine and some popcorn. DH got home from work early enough to take DD9 to her practices so I was able to get 20 mins in on the elliptical. The only thing is that I did it right before my aerobics class. Man were my legs TIRED!!

Today I'm not doing so well...I had a bowl of Total with FF milk for breakfast... for lunch I had 5 1/2 chicken nuggets and a little less then 1/2 of medium fries from McD's. That's what was left over from the kid's lunch. I came home and really wanted some ice cream but I didn't give in... so I ate grapes instead. I also ate a piece of cold meatloaf leftover from dinner last night. Oh and I haven't drank much water yet today...

SO hopefully I can hoist my lazy rump up off the couch to exercise at least a little today at home. I also have my water aerobics class tonight to look forward to...I am being such a bum today.

Not quite sure what I'm making for dinner tonight...I'm leaning towards Fish Sticks and home made fries...something quick and easy...blah, blah, blah... because that's how I feel...

Hi Jessi!!! Welcome!!!

Sounds like you're doing great with your exercise, and journaling your food! Accountibility is a scary thing, isn't it? That's why I love the journals!!

Good luck with the 1/2 marathon in January!! Have you done races before? That's an awesome goal!!

Thanks Kim!! Being accountable is kinda scary... I hope it helps keep me on track.

I have never run before in my life!! I am running my first 5K on April 29th and I'm really excited about it. Who knew I would ever be excited about running?? Hey but I am getting a trip to Disney out of it...oh and some extra quality time with DH. Not sure how quality it is with all the huffin and puffin I'm doin' but it's time nonetheless. :)

So yesterday...I was in such a bahumbug mood! I was just so grouchy. I ate a really small slice of cheescake for breakfast...not even a slice...it was a sliver! Then I didn't want to eat any more so I threw the rest away. DH was upset because I didn't save him any. I took the kids to the park in the morning because it was so nice...I didn't mention that in the next few months I am planning on opening my own day care in my basement. But for now I am babysitting a couple kids until the basement's finished. Anyway so we went to the park and it was packed!! It irritated me that I got all kinds of looks when I took the kids out. Looks like "Oh that poor girl...look how many kids she has!" Or sometimes I'm even asked "Are ALL these kids yours??" Usually it wouldn't bother me but I'm thinking TOM might be just around the corner. SO we came home and I had a salad and some Triscuts with cheese. I also had some sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding. Sometime between lunch and dinner DH came home from work. When all the kids that I watch left he drug me out for a run...we ran 3 miles!!! That's further then I have ever run before. I felt great after that!! No more grouchies for me!! You would think that we would have something decent for dinner after our run but we didn't...we had pizza loaded with all kinds of meat. I had 2 pieces and lots of water!! So I still have stayed away from the scale so far this week...it's actually not as hard as I thought it was going to be but Monday isn't coming soon enough. Well it's time to go tend to the kids... DH had some sort of baseball meeting for DS this morning so I am lucky enough to have to take all 3 kids shopping with me...at BJ's of all places!! Woohoo...I can't wait!

Today is my weigh in day and since it's the first Monday of the month, I also take my measurements. So here's my stats:

Starting weight - 206 lbs
Current weight - 173 lbs
Loss this week - 0 lbs
Total weight lost - 33 lbs

Inches lost in March - 4.5 in
Total inches lost - 33 in

 I lost 4.5 inches last month :cool1: so I'm not too upset about the scale not moving. I had a really grouchy weekend...so I didn't eat all that great. On Sat I had left over pizza for lunch and Top Ramen noodles for dinner. I'm sure I ate more...I just don't remember. Yesterday...I had 2 slices of wheat toast with peanut butter for breakfast, an apple and some Triscuts for lunch, and macoroni (spaghetti) with MIL's homemade gravy (spaghetti sauce) and meatballs. So hopefully my grouchies are gone for good at least until PMS really sets in...it's coming soon, I can feel it. This week, I'm going to stay off the scale again and I'm going to try to workout twice a day along with making the right food choices. I really want to change my WISH clippie and color in my next star. For every 5 pounds I lose, I color in a star and hang on the door in my bedroom. DH and I went out on Sat to look at treadmills so hopefully we will get one in the next few weeks to help with our training.

Awesome job with losing the inches!!! That is my one big regret that I didn't measure myself before I started losing weight.

You are doing great with sticking to your plan.

How is your running going? Only a few more weeks until your 5K!! That's so exciting!

04-05-2006, 11:19 AM
Thanks Kim... running isn't really my thing...yet! I must say that it is getting easier everytime we go out. My ankle isn't too appreciative of it though. So I bought an ankle support to see if that helps a little.

I did really horroble on Monday so I'm not even going to try to remember what I ate. I did however get an arm workout in at home and go to aerobics that night. SO yesterday was a good day... I had a bowl of wheat chex with FF milk for b-fast, an egg salad sandwich with a side of grapes for lunch, celery with some peanutbutter for a snack, and then some salisbury steaks with brown rice for dinner. After dinner we went for a run...2 miles and at the end my DH tricked me into running up this really steep hill in one of the developments by our house. I wasn't too happy about it and I only made it about half way up before I stopped and started having a little anxiety. I notice that I get a little anxious the first run on a course. My breathing gets really hard to control. But the second time around I am fine! DH just thinks I'm weird... I was going to go to my water aerobics class last night but DH talked me out of it so I stayed home and had a glass of wine instead. Today so far I've had a bowl of Pop's (I know...not the greatest thing, but they smelled so yummy when I was pouring them for DS6), I also had a cheese stick for a snack. Not sure what I'm going to make for lunch yet...but I do know I need to work on my water intake a little. Oh...and I'm staying away from that dreaded scale again this week...so far, so good!

I am having the worst week :guilty: ...TOM showed up first thing yesterday morning. I feel like I have been being a human garbage disposal. Not to mention I haven't worked out since my run Tuesday night. And to top it all off I got on the scale this morning. I don't know what I was thinking :confused3 ... after eating all that junk AND being bloated from TOM...Blech!! I am so disgusted with myself... the good thing was that the scale still says 173. Although I KNOW it would probably make me feel better to get up and move around a little but TOM is soooo heavy and I feel really yucky and achy and crampy that I am probably just going to sit on my big ol' butt all day. :drinking1...Here's hoping this feeling passes soon.

kimwim8
04-07-2006, 11:45 AM
Hey Jessi....I hope you feel better soon. TOM always cramps our style, doesn't it (sorry, no pun intended). You'll be back to yourself in no time, and you'll get back on track.

Til then, grab the heating pad, lay down & take it easy!

Welp today's the day... here's the stats:

Starting Weight - 206 lbs
Current Weight - 171 lbs
Loss this week - 2 lbs
Total loss - 35 lbs!!! :cool1:  :cheer2:

I am so excited that the scale finally moved!! I am not quite sure how it happened but who am I to complain about what the scale says...(as long as it's on my side that is ;) ) I had a horrible food week last week and I didn't really exercise all that much! TOM had me feeling pretty much like crap and I didn't feel like doing anything. So I didn't exercise twice a day like I had hoped. I was also very grumpy...so grumpy that DH and I got into a HUGE fight yesterday. It wasn't very pretty to say the least! All is well now though... we kissed and made up! Then we went for a run together. We started off going around this huge circle and then I felt like I could keep going so we did our regular route of 2 miles too. When I drove the route to clock it, I couldn't believe my eyes...are you ready for this??

:woohoo: :woohoo: 4.6 MILES!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I am so excited!!! I can't believe it!! I ran 4.6 miles WITHOUT stopping! SO that and the fact that TOM's on his way out AND I lost 2 lbs...I feel my funk lifting. Other then my ankle being a little sore this morning...I feel great!!!

Congrats on the weight loss, too!

Hope you have a good week!

Hi Jessi, congratulations on your weight loss! And your running that distance, that is incredible. I was at WDW during the marathon this past January, not running of course, just there! In any case, I saw two women in the ladies room at Saratoga Springs the day we left, they had done the run and I felt so fat and worthless next to them I cannot even tell you! I really admire anyone who can run any distance, just walking is hard enough for me right now! Also, the inches you lost in March are really something. It sounds like your last few pounds will be off sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work, you are doing great :thumbsup2 !

And congrats on the 2 pound loss!! You're doing great! Don't ever question where the loss comes from...just accept it and embrace it! :teeth:

Congrats and keep up the good work!! My Dh and I have a 2 mile course that we run....(after our renovations are done, we are going to increase it to 3 miles)
Wow....I honestly couldn't imagine running 4.6 miles!! crawling, maybe....running....no!

Keep up the great work!! Oh, and congrats on the inches & weight lost!! WAY TO GO!!

Thanks for the support ladies!! It really means alot!

I have been very busy these past few days. My kids have off school ALL week! SO that means that I have everyones brothers and sisters too! Right now I have my 3, my neighbor's 3, my 1 after schooler, and my 1 full time little boy. Yep...that's 8 kids. The 3 little ones are all taking a nap and the 5 older ones are out jumping on the moonbounce. It's just a little one that we bought for my 2 yr olds b-day last year.

Anyhoo...this week has been OK...nothing to really write home about. Monday night I had a big binge fest...everyone went to bed so I had an ice cream sandwich from DQ (my neighbor with the 3 kids that I watch brought them for the kids for a snack and there were a couple left over.), oh and then I had a huge bowl of reeses PB cup ice cream, oh and to top it off i ate about a half a bag of chips! Blech!! I didn't even want the chips...but I couldn't stop eating them. My body wasn't listening to my brain when I said 'no more'...it kept saying 'just one more handful'... UGH... I can get so frustrated with myself sometimes. I need to start being more accountable for what I am putting into my mouth...that is one of the reasons why I started this journal in the first place, right? ok...so starting today I will logging my food everyday...the good, the bad, and the yummy...errr, I mean the ugly!

b-fast - 2 slices pb toast
snack - a handful of cheez-its
lunch - 2 slices of tombstone pizza(the frozen kind...not very big big)

I'm not sure what I'm going to make for dinner because I have to go to the grocery store but there's no way I am taking all these kids to the store with me...not that I have enough seats in my truck but even if I did I would not be caught dead with 2 two yr olds, a 3 yr old, a 5 yr old,a 6 yr old, an 8 yr old, and 2 nine yr olds in a grocery store. I think I can scrounge up something for dinner. So far I haven't consumed any water other then my cup of green tea this morning. I did go to aerobics on mon night and water aerobics last night. I think Trainer Bob is mad at me...he keeps trying to call me over for a date but I know as soon as I dust him off he's going to give me the swift kick in the butt that I really need. So I've kinda been avoiding him...tomorrow morning I WILL do the Biggest Loser workout!!!

Welp...gotta go break up a fight...I'll check in later!

Welp...I did it! I tried to talk myself out of it but I wasn't successful. I did the strength and sculpt workout from the BL! :yay:

After my post yesterday I ate a brownie :guilty: and for dinner I had chicken salad on toasted wheat bread. And I only consumed about a half a liter of water.

Today is a new day...and so far I am off to a good start! I am going to go get a shower make a cup of green tea(mint...mmmm) and then have something yummy for breakfast.

Good job on working out with Bob this morning. I think he was calling me, but not quite loud enough for me to get up. :rotfl:

Have a great day! I know it's hard to resist the snacks when you have them in the house. Maybe you could put them in a certain cabinet? That's what I do. I can't even open the cabinet. If the kids want a snack, they have to go get it themselves. They know if they see mommy near that cabinet they can yell at me for it! So I avoid it. I have my healthy snacks in my own cabinet....so no temptation (at least not with snack food ;)).

mrsschlep
04-13-2006, 11:15 AM
I try to keep my snacks seperate...but sometimes the really good fattening snacks yell louder then my healthy snacks, lol! Like just a few minutes ago... it was snack time for the 6 kids that I have right now...my DS6 choose to have cheddar and sour cream chips...mmmm, they smelled sooooo good while I was getting them for him... but I resisted and settled for some cucumbers instead  ...not quite the same, but I feel better because I made a good choice. Oh... and I had honey nut cheerios with ff milk for breakfast.

I must confess that I cheated and weighed myself this morning before my shower.... I was so excited to see that it went down 2 more pounds to 169!! :teeth: But I'm not gonna count it yet and we all know that anything can happen between now and Monday, right?

kimwim8
04-13-2006, 02:08 PM
Hey Jessi! Nice job with the cucumbers (believe me - I know how hard that was!) :thumbsup2

I'm a believer in weighing when you want to. I do the same thing. If it's gonna drive me nuts to not weigh in on a particular morning, then I do it. I just only log my weight on Monday mornings.

Jessie,

Just wanted to say hello and welcome to the WISH boards...even if I am a couple weeks late on catching up with your journal :)

We have a couple things in common....1st 1/2 marathon this January, your 1st 5k is on the 29th, mine is this weekend the 15th and we are both Lost fans! Here is to hoping that we can stay on track for a successful WDW Half and that Lost doesn't leave us hanging too much this summer :)

Great job on losing 4.5 inches, 2 lbs. and running 4.6 miles without stopping! I'm so jealous! Keep up the great work!!

Ok...I know I keep saying I am going to post everyday...but I keep getting sidetracked... We have been so busy... we painted the basement this weekend!! I am so excited!! We are redoing our basement so I can eventually open my own day care... that meant knocking down a wall between the finished part of our basement and the garage. SO we are now garageless but have a really big room for me to watch my kids! 2 weeks ago the garage door and the really ugly sliding glass door came out and our new pretty french doors went in and now it's painted!! There are a couple walls that need a second coat but painting is such a workout that I couldn't muster up the energy to do it yet!! Easter was ok. The kids had a great time looking for their baskets and eggs that the easter bunny hid...DH and I went for a run and went the full 5 MILES this time!!! It took us 70 minutes including 2 potty breaks and a stop to shake my ankle out. SO I 'm thinking we were at about a 12 min mile pace?? Then we went to the inlaws for dinner where I drank WAY too much wine and ate too many desserts! Home made canollis(sp?) and homemade cream puffs and homemade chocolate PB eggs...need I say more?? Oh and lots of wine...I'm actually still feeling a little woozy...but hey I made it through dinner with the inlaws, lol! So here's the stats:

Starting weight - 206
Current weight - 172
GAIN this week + 1
Total lost - 34
lbs til goal - 17

So I gained a pound instead of losing 2 but I'm sure that wine has a lot to do with that! I'm not too worried about it. I have invited myself to do the BL with you ladies this week... :teeth: we'll see how that goes.

Kim...I'm trying to only weigh on Mondays because I get so obsessed with that darn scale that I weigh myself like every day. I'm ok with weighing every now and then as long as I'm not obsessing. ;)

Scott...thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a sucessful 5K this weekend!! I am so excited to be training for the WDW 1/2! I will do anything to go back to Disney...even if I have to run 13 miles!! :teeth: Shhhh...don't tell DH I tricked him into going back sooner then we were going to. I made him think it was his idea to go...hehehe ;) . Oh and Lost...you know they'll leave us hanging this summer...they do it every week. It drives me nuts!! You have probably already heard this and I'm not sure what the connection is but Dorothy's uncle's name was Henry Gale from the wizard of oz and the mayor flew around in a hot air balloon. Maybe they crashed on a 21st century OZ...lol.

Marie...I think my 2 pounds found their way back to me and they even brought a friend. So your butt is now free from my 2 lbs...thanks for watching over them for a couple days.

First of all, way to go on the 5 mile run!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 12 minute pace is really good...you were probably even quicker than that when you factor in the breaks that you took..nice job!

I also kind of tricked DW into going in Jan...we keep adding "days in the parks" to the trip :) have you been to lost-forum.com? They have all kinds of analysis on every aspect of the show. At least we are finding things out this season!

Keep up the great work!

I really tried to talk myself out of the first official day of BOBFEST '06! We had a very busy night...I had my day care kids til about 5:30 and DD9 had her first softball game at 6. Since I wasn't quite ready to go when hubby was leaving I decided I would walk to the ball field which is about a mile away. SO I walked pushing DD2 in her stroller...my legs were sooo tired and I almost turned around and stayed home but I knew DD9 was counting on me to be there. We didn't get home til after 8:00. I really just wanted to sit on my big ol butt and eat ice cream with everyone else... but I knew that I had to come on here and report whether or not I met up with Bob. I am happy to say that I passed up the ice cream and did the strength and sculpt workout. We have another softball game tonight so I hope I can find time this afternoon to meet up with bob again instead of later at night when I am pooped!

Marie...my renovations have been going on since last July!!! I can NOT wait til they are finished. We are in the process of purchasing our house. We have rented here for almost 6 years...and the owners agreed to sell to us, which is great but things just aren't going very smooth with the subdivision and plans and titles and stuff like that. It's very frustrating...as we are trying not to spend any of the money in our accounts because we aren't sure if the mortgage company is keeping close watch on this or not. We have been in the process since last May!! I'm sure this whole thing won't seem so bad when we're all said and done but it just a real big pain i the rump right now!! Oh and by the way...I forgot to mention that your tile looks fabulous!!!

Scott...I did consider those potty breaks with my time...I probably gave myself a little more time in the bathrooms then I was really in there...but who's counting??(besides me...lol) I think I have been on those lost forums...just not in a while. DH told me last night that there is no new episodes for like 3 weeks!!! WTH??? They have been taking an awful lot of breaks this season!! Oh... I was checking out your website and saw that you took a trip to philly. I am like 25 miles north(?...I really don't have much sense of direction...) of philly. DH and I were actually at Live 8 too!! That was so much fun!

Well here's my food intake from yesterday...

b-fast - slice of easter pie (...really yummy italian thing...kinda like a cold quiche...ham, pepperoni, cheese and egg)
lunch - carrots, celery, and brocolli with some veggie dip
dinner - 2 encore salisbury steaks and brown rice
I had some easter candy too throughout the day but I am starting to get grossed out from it because I have eaten so much of it this weekend...
I also drank 72 oz of H2O!! I walked a mile pushing a stroller and did Bob!
All in all not a bad day!

I think you had a great day, Jessi! Great job on all you accomplished! I felt the same way about Bobfest 06...I didn't want to have to post that I didn't do it (and I'm not a good liar!) so I did it. I did the one with the handweights for the first time...it was a GOOD workout!! I have completely been ignoring my upper body, so I'm planning on doing that twice a week now...and tonight I'll do the high intensity cardio. I skipped out on the cool down last night...just wanted to lay on the couch to cool down! :rotfl:

Your runs are awesome...I can't wait to get to that point. What kind of sneakers do you have? I want to go get some new ones.

Thanks Kim...I skipped the cool down too! I like to do my own stretching afterwards...as I don't really like Bob's cool down very much. Don't tell him that though...he might make me work harder. I might have to try your cool down method sometime...it sounds much easier :rotfl:
I have a pair of New Balance sneakers...they are the first ones I have owned and I love them! But I'm not much of a sneaker guru... I always look for the ones that are on sale. Kohl's usually has great deals! :thumbsup2

Yesterday's menu:

B-fast - easter pie
lunch - veggies with dip
dinner - chicken with twice baked potatoes and peas

I also had lots of candy and not enough water....only 36 oz!!

I had so much candy that my teeth are killing me and my stomach hurt so bad last night. I felt like such crap.... I stood Bob up, but I WILL do him this afternoon while the little ones are napping...uh...that didn't sound right, but you know what I mean. Today I'm going to try really hard to resist all that candy!! And can someone tell me why I bought all MY favorite easter candy for my kids and for some reason thought it wouldn't tempt me??? :confused3

Hey...and i'm not sure whose night it is, but I think I need Sven tonight! Can you send him over when you're finished?? I need a night off ;) Thanks!!

Hey Jessi - Sven's yours for the night! I'm going out shopping after I get my hair cut, and DH will be home to take care of things there....so Sven is on the next flight out this morning! :thumbsup2

Don't give up because of yesterday. It's ok to have those kinds of days every once in a while. Is there any way to get rid of some of that candy? Are the kids eating it?

I usually give it a week or so, then I figure out what they aren't eating & I bag it up & take it to work (or send it with DH). That gets it out of my sight & my temptation level goes down!

But, either way...you can do it. Just ignore it...chocolate and candy & stuff like that will all be around when you get to your goal, and you can reward yourself with it then. That's what I keep telling myself! :rolleyes2

Jessi - Put that candy someplace where you won't see it ... out of sight, out of mind....
Didn't you mention somewhere that you are running a 5k soon? just checking...

Also, Live 8 was fun, but very crowded!! We loved everything about Philly and had an amazing time there....can't say we ventured up to Schwenksville, but I'm sure it's nice there too!! Lost will be back to normal in May, leading us up to the 2 hour season finale (involves Desmond in a big way)...can't wait!!

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Thanks guys! :sunny: I went to bag up the candy and put it high up in the cabinet and guess what I found?.... Valentines Day candy that I was hiding from my self!!! :rotfl: So in the trash it went and the Easter candy replaced it! lol! I did eat the last 2 homemade pb eggs that MIL sent home with us. But they're gone now...

Bobfest update... I did the bootcamp a little while ago...HOLY COW!!!! I think we are going running tonight too. DH and I really need to come up with some sort of schedule... I have Marathoning for Mortals but we haven't started the training schedule yet. Water Aerobics is done next week so I think we will use Tues and Thurs as our run days with our long runs on Sat or Sun depending on baseball and softball schedules. I am still going to try to get to my aerobics classes on Mons and Weds too.

Ok...Here's what I ate today (so far...)

b-fast - grapes
snack - string cheese
lunch - egg salad sandwich, salt + vinegar pringles, 2 pb eggs :guilty:

I'm not sure what's for dinner tonight...I'm thinking maybe fish with a mushroom sauce, steamed green beans, and some brown rice....

And so far I've had 60 oz of H2O today!!! :thumbsup2

10 DAYS TIL MY FIRST 5K!!! :scared:

Good job on hiding the candy...you won't find it until Halloween!! Also your food intake (besides the pb eggs) looks great!! I love string cheese...buy it for the kids, but they don't like it....so i get it all to myself!!!
I think when your water aerobics is done, that your training on those days would be a good idea. I love running w/ my dh...although we haven't been in 2 weeks... :guilty:

So, how bad was Bob tonight, and how good was Sven??? :teeth: I don't even look at the Boot Camp one...I barely make it through the High intensity workout!!! I like the Stretch & Sculpt the best....actually, i just like sitting there watching him stretch & sculpt!!! :teeth:

Where is your 5K at...i'm sure I read it, but i forgot.
Have a great day!!

Bob was tough on Wed!! I don't think it was any worse then the high intensity cardio...you could do it!! I woke up so sore yesterday though(I think it was a combo of Bob and the 2 miles I ran that night)... nothing Sven couldn't workout for me though. :p Thanks for letting me borrow him Kim!! The 5K I'm running is on a trail right by my house...it's called Perkiomen Valley Strides for a Cure. They will have the times posted on a website after the race...I will post a link after the race.

Wed...
I already posted b-fast and lunch
dinner... fish, canned g-beans, baked potato
snack...popcorn
water...120 oz!!!

Thurs... :guilty: (I was such a grouch)
b-fast... pringles???
lunch...hard boiled egg, ring bologna, munster cheese, and crackers...and a cadbury cream egg :guilty:
dinner...broccoli chicken casserole
then dd2 took a bite of cadbury cream egg and didn't like it...I couldn't just throw it away because they are my favorite...so instead I threw it away in my stomach... :guilty:
water... 102 oz!!

So far today I have had...
b-fast... a bowl of wheat chex with 2% milk and a cup of mint green tea
I didn't have a chance to do Bob yesterday but I WILL do him today while the little ones are napping. Well...I'm off to find my will power and then hopefully the candy will stop screaming at me from the cabinet!! I would throw it away but the kids are still eating it...I'll give them a couple more days...

OH WILL POWER...... COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE!!!!!

You're doing good, Jessi. Don't get down on yourself! The Easter candy is a temporary issue. Like you said...wait a couple of days & let the kids know it's their last chance...then chuck it!! You'll feel soooo good after you do it!

I brought a big old bag of candy in today to the office. It was gone in less than an hour. And that was not even touching their Easter basket loot. That was all from the one egg hunt we did!!!

DD7 was so confused when she saw me put the big bag of candy in my thermal lunch box!! She was like..."um, mom....is that your lunch?" :rotfl: It was so funny!

I haven't tried the bootcamp yet either. My favorite is the sculpting one...but I do like the high intensity cardio too. Do you guys actually do the workout & then the 20 minute cool down/stretch? I've been skipping the stretch part & just doing some quick stretches when I'm done the workout.

Have a GREAT weekend! Stay strong. You can do it!! :cheer2:

Thanks Kim!!!! I did strength and sculpt with Bob just a little while ago... and no I don't do the cool down with him, I do my own. I just don't feel like I get the full stretch with the pilates moves that he does.

You're doing GREAT, Jessi!

Don't fret about the Easter candy. This too shall pass and you are doing so well that it won't make a lasting difference.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Well it's been about 2 weeks since my last post... I have been away fighting with myself! Seriously, I didn't go anywhere...just been dealing with a lot of self sabotaging!! TOM started to show his ugly head this morning and then it all made sense. So the last 2 weeks my eating has been horendous...and I haven't really been exercising... I think when I weighed in on Monday I was up 3 pounds to 174. But I am not going to let it get me down anymore...

Oh yeah... I ran my first 5K last weekend!! I was a little intimidated with all the serious runners that were there. I tried to think that I just wanted to finish...but then I realized that I REALLY didn't want to be the last one to cross the finish line. Do you know, not ONE person walked!!! I did finish towards the end of the pack.... #153 out of 167 runners with a time of 34:24. The last runner crossed the finish line only 3 minutes behind me. All in all it was a great experience...can't wait to run my next one so I can beat my time!! I have also decided that running this race with my husband reminded me of giving birth to my kids.... his coaching skills that is... looking back I think it was great of him to keep encouraging me but while we were in the process I just wanted him to SHUT UP!!!! When we were finished our race, I did give him a nice sweaty hug and thanked him for everything he does for me...I even got a little teary eyed...I had just ran my first 5K! I ran the whole thing!! A year ago I couldn't even walk up the steps without stopping to catch my breath!!! If I can figure out how to post a pic I will.

So now on to my next dilemma... my ankle... it has really been bothering me when I run. I was thinking it might be a stress fracture...it seems I have all the symptoms. I think I did too much too soon. I went to the doctors yesterday to get it checked out... he thinks it may be the tendon and sent me for x-rays. I'm also not allowed to work out on it for 2 weeks. I never thought I'd be bummed about not being to exercise. I tried to tell my husband that I wasn't allowed to clean the house or cook dinner either...but he didn't buy it. Oh well...it was worth a try! We should have my x-ray results in 3-5 business days...sounds like they are sending a package, huh?

....well it looks like I have a few journals to catch up on...
I'll try to check in again later!!

Jessi - :cheer2: Great job on the 5k!!!!! :cheer2: You did awesome!! Take care of that ankle though...don't make it any worse than it needs to be. Resting it until fully healed will make you stronger and able to come back 100% in a few weeks.

Oh yeah, did you see Lost last night :scared1: Last 10 minutes were awesome!! Check this out if you haven't yet: http://thelostexperienceclues.blogspot.com/
