Why 6 straight days at sea on Med repo???

Am I the only one wondering why there are 6 days at sea on the Med repos?? :confused3
Does it really take 6 days to get from the Bahamas to the Canary islands?? I was hoping for a stop in New York and/or Bermuda, then we would have booked in a heartbeat! My DH is prone to sea sickness and I just can't risk 6 days of rough seas for the prices they are charging. I'm really disappointed because we were planning on going to the Med next year anyway and we had sooooo much fun on the PC repo last May.

Oh well, we are going to a plan a land/air tour with friends instead, making stops at Disneyland Paris and to sea the Magic in one of the ports! :banana:

I think 6 days is about the amount of time that it takes. A regular transatlantic on Cunard is 6 days from New York to Southampton, so I would assume Canary Island to Bahamas is about the same.

Yep, it takes 6 days to cross to Europe. 4 days from the West Coast to Hawaii. My mom did that, said the 4 straight days at sea were the best part of the cruise.

Look at any other cruise line that does transatlantic cruises (like Cunard) ... NYC to SouthHampton is at least 5 days straight with no stops ... Castaway Cay is probably further away accounting for the 6th day at sea.

If it takes 2and half days from Cape Canaveral to St. Maarten..........then it wont take a mathematician to work out that 6 days is about right. Worth every minute.......even if the Atlantic is rough! Europe is wonderful. :)
