Can you get scrapbooking kits in the parks and if so where? Also, are they different than what you can get at your local craft store? thanks :)

Yep, I think that some of the stores in the actual parks sell them. But I definitely know that a store in Downtown Disney sells them. There's lots of stuff in there.....and they are different than what I've seen in scrapbook stores too. For the life of me I cannot remember what the store is called, but I know that it's right next to the Art store.

Yes, they sell lots of different scrapbooking kits at Disney. They are "official" WDW kits, so I'm assuming they are different from what is in the local craft stores. I'm not a scrapbooker, but I've never seen anything like them else where.

Yes, I saw some at the POP resort gift shop and plenty of the DTD stores carry scrap-booking. Of course the WDW parks themselves have them in selected stores.

I personally was disappointed in the scrapbooking store at DTD. I've seen much nicer stuff at my LSS and even at Michael's than they had there. Most of the stuff in the scrapbooking store at DTD you could find in the parks, just in the store is all at one place and you don't have to carry it in the park.

The store in Dowtown Disney is called something like "Disney's World of Memories". They do also sell alot of scrapbooking stuff in the parks/resorts.

I love the stuff from Disney...I know some people think the stuff they can get at MIchael's is better, but I'd rather have stuff that is geared specifically for Disney parks...and that is what the stuff they sell in Disney is. If I wanted a regular scrapbook, then I'd get my stuff at Michael's...but I want a DISNEY scrapbook.

I love their kits...but during our January trip I hunted high & low and could not find the Disney Dining Scrapbook kit that I'd seen (only 1 time too) last May. I'm on the hunt again this May when we go.

BTW...during our January trip...while at AK...I was wandering thru a shop near Kilamanjaro Safari & I found a Disney kit I'd never seen ANYWHERE else..not even in the other AK shops. It was a "Disney Animal Kingdom Scrapbook Kit"....specifically for that park. It made me wonder if they had a kit hidden somewhere in the other parks for MGM & Epcot.

I bought a bunch of SB kits from the store in DTD when we went in July. They were around $15 a pack. I can't get anything similar at my LSS or Michael's. I also got a spiral bound pack of disney papers for around the same price. My complaints about that is that when you tear it out the horrible edge is there (you can cut it off but it's a pain). The albums are well made and reasonable. I got one with inserts and poly pockets.

They have supplies in plenty of places. When I went last year, there was a special kit in the Animal K. Lodge where we went to eat. We ended up buying it! :teeth:
