We will probably be arriving at the Poly about 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning the last week in August (maybe even sooner...coming from Disney Cruise line). Assuming our room is not ready, I am not sure what is best for us to do first. It seems too soon for lunch...but is it too late (too hot and crowded) to hit the parks? I guess we could go swimming first, but we would then be all wet, etc. for lunch (if room still not ready).

Maybe we should go and hit the attractions that are described as "go anytime" and grab fast passes wherever we can? What park would be best to visit at this time?

We hit MK on a Sunday and found that it gave us a good chance to catch a little magic, then we rode the boat to FW for the Hoop de Doo then back to MK for more night fun and then bus to hotel.

You could do any of the water parks, catch a ride to other resorts you've never visited, play miniature golf, or go to any of the parks. Surely there is a ride that you are all anxious to ride.ˇ

We like the House of Blues Gospel Brunch. I think it's at 10:30 and 1:30. It's a lot of fun. Then spend the day at Downtown and go to Cirque de Soliel. Fun day, and no parks. It's a relaxing way to start you vacation.

is supposed to be the most peaceful on a Sunday morning, so if you head right there, you will probably be okay. What kind of passes do you have?

I get park hopper passes at a discount through my employer. I also have some left over passes from our last trip about 3 years ago (1 is a parkhopper; the other is a 1-park day pass).

Your arrival at ten should give you plenty of time to hop on a momorail. Maybe go to MK and get lunch and ride a bit before the parade. If you are coming from the cruise and this is one of yor 3 or 4 days of the package, you should use it wisely.
And a ten o'clock arrival would be a good time to head for a water park if that is your preference. August can be quite warm. You can get lunch at anyone of them.
