The Sorcerer Mickey one with the brooms and the little globes with characters from fantasia going around it with little brooms with buckets. Well I do and I thought this piece was a LE. Well on my last trip to WDW in the Art of Disney they have the same piece except that the little globes are tear shaped instead of round... Anyone else seen this piece?

seeing that particular snowglobe at the Disney Gallery store. I thought it was really nice looking. I bet the one you saw at Art of Disney was nice too.

I have a snow globe collection of one. It is the one with Cinderella's Castle with a plastic base that looks like dark wood. It plays "When You Wish Upon a Star". My sweatheat gave it to me! :D

It is starting to get an air bubble...any way to fix that?

Leslie... There is really no way to fix it that I know of but to stop it from happening keep in out of the sun light or hot places. A lot of my globes have bubbles. I think that is why Disney started to put things (Characters and such) on top of the globes.

I have that one Nat, and bought it at the Art of Disney last May. I was told it was not a limited edition, it just kept selling out as soon as they got any in. After trying to get it for 6 months, I finally got lucky and was there when they got a shipment in. It was orginally available through the Disney Catalog also, but only for a very short time and then it became available only at the Art of Disney stores at WDW. My DH was almost as happy as I was when I finally found it because he didn't have to listen to me whine about it anymore. LOL! I understand that they changed the design a couple of months ago and the new ones now have the tear drop shaped globes that you described instead of the round globes. I haven't seen it yet.

Nat I've seen the one you're talking about - it almost came home with me from the Disneyana Convention. I missed out on the first one too. I've also heard the rumor that the first one is an LE, but I believe it may have simply been limited to production in 2000. The one you just saw with the teardrop shaped mini-globes is the latest version (probably produced in response to those who insisted the first one remain a limited production and to satisfy the demand from those who missed out on the first one too). Hope that made sense!

Have you seen the Walt's 100th one yet? That's a beauty!! :D

I collect a few snowglobes too! I don't have the one to which you're referring, Nat, but I'd sure like to see a picture. :D Have you seen the new Fantasia snowglobe at TDS? It's cool and a must have for me. :bounce:

BTW, someone just told me she knows someone who fixes the bubbles in her snowglobes by unscrewing the bottom, pulling out the plug, and filling the globe with a little water. I've not even taken mine apart so I have no idea how well this works. If someone is brave enough to try LMK. I have a Bug's Life snowglobe that has a bubble.

I also collect Snowglobes, but I don't have the one with the teardrop globe. I had read on another newsgroup that there will be more globes with the teardrop shape.
They also have a new globe with Mickey's head at TDS. I have the first, but put the 2nd on my Christams list. If I buy it for myself my family will be stuck with nothing to give em and I don't need any more socks.

And Leslie, I know you have more than 1 snowglobe. I remember the day the 3 Caballeros ran up the down escalator to get those free snowglobes from JC Penney. How quickly they forget the fun times... Peggie

LOL Peggie, I forgot all about those....I think I gave them all away! But that was a fun day at the mall, getting the free 102 Dalmation pins at TDS! Don't suppose they'll do anything like that this year with all the hysteria over the 100 year pins....
