I saw this on TV last night so I called 1-800-UESCAPE to confirm.
With the $99 rate for the HRH and the $129 rate for Portofino, the hotels are selling two-day tickets for the price of one.
This is for Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana residents.
I never thought I'd be THRILLED about living in Georgia...

I called just now and they told me you had to book a package to get that deal. I only booked one night (she said you had to have two) and we live in Atlanta but I guess I can't take advantage of it.
dratttttss...........

They're counting on us chickens who drive instead of fly! My son wants to book Hard Rock instead of PB so I might just change for this. $99 a night PLUS a free day at the park... it's looking better every day! :D

When is this special good for? I hope they would let me combine it with our 1 free night we have.

Robin,
How do you get your tickets? Do you buy them at the hotel?

I just called 1800uescape and the woman knew about the $99/Hrh room but not the ticket deal. Maybe she it didn't come up on her screen because I said I was not from one of the participating states.
But she was very nice to deal with anyway!

Whenever I call they seem CLUELESS of the deals so I tell them when and how I got my information.
They usually put me on hold and check with someone...
I saw this deal on a television commercial Sunday night. When they finally found it I was told that the tickets must be bought at the hotel.
I still haven't decided on which one yet!
sha_lyn, they told me they'll run the deal until the rooms they have set aside for this deal are booked. I asked them about the end of the first week in January. They were not available from 12/30-1/2/02 though.

I haven't seen the ad on tv for the 2 day ticks for the price of one, but the hotels on Universal property aren't the only ones doing specials. The Radisson Hotel Orlando has a 2 night special open to anyone for $222 (that's for 2 nights, 2 people, 2 tickets that are good for 2 days).
Check out www.orlandoradissonhotel.com
They are across the street from UO.:jester:

Lily,
That's quite a deal. I remember paying more than twice than that in 1999 for the same hotel....
