We are planning on BCV in Jan 2007 and SSR in Dec 2007. I want to buy AP's with the $100 DVC discount. If I buy them this year will they send me a voucher to turn in when I go so the AP's start on Jan 27, 2007 or will the AP's start when I actually buy them?

If they start when I buy them I'll just buy at the gate. I figure the AP price will go up at the beginning of Jan 2007 so I was going to try to save a little money.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

If you buy the the DVC-discounted passes online (via the DVC Members' website) or over the phone (via Member Services), you will receive a voucher. (There is a $3 per order mailing charge in addition to the cost of the pass unless you opt for the "will call" option. I do not recommend will call if you are buying so far in advance).

Your year of admission will begin when the vouchers are exchanged for the actual pass. You can only do the exchange on site at one of the Guest Relations booths/desks.

FYI, it's a good idea to do that now, since December and January are often when Disney makes price increases.

So I could buy one pass a month (so as not to spend all that money at once) and turn all the vouchers in when we go in Dec and they will all have the same expiry date? Does that make sense :confused3 ?

The clock starts ticking the day you turn in the voucher for the pass. Turn it in on Jan 10 2007 it will expire on jan 10 2008. The same if you do will call.

Does that make sense :confused3 ?Yes, to both questions. Many passholder families do just what you want to do - spread the cost of the passes over several months. The only extra cost of doing so is the $3/order mailing charge.

We need 5 passes so we started buying in November last year and just need 1 more. We go in July 2006. Can't wait.
