Hi Everyone - Just registered on the boards, but have been reading for a while. We are a family of 3: Mom, daughter (16) and daughter (25). Will be flying today Aer Lingus. Looking forward to meeting everyone. It's been fun reading about everyone's plans.

Wow, I actually got free internet signal at MCO! Happy Limo was right on time this morning, and it was a breeze gate checking our luggage with Jet Blue, so now we'vegot scads of time before our 11:40 flight. We're the sort of people who would rather be waaaay early and kill time at the airport than be rushing at the last minute. I was worried that they would confiscate my horde of empty water bottles, which I fill once we are past security, but thank goodness they didn't. I have a weird psychological needs for TONS of water when flying. Besides keeping me hydrated, it allows me to pop additional Xanx, to suck the bottle when my ears are popping, and to pour water over my head if I have a panic attack. ;) I can't believe that at this time tomorrow I will be on the Magic!!! :woohoo: Can't wait to see the rest of the Aer Lingus JFK-Dublin crowd. DIS is gonna own that plane!

We don't leave until tomorrow morning. We're flying from London Gatwick to Barcelona, and should land just before 1pm local time.

Only a few more hours to go.

Just curious - does anyone know if anyone else is havig trouble out of JFK? Disneysweetie is stuck on the tarmac at JFK and may have to miss our flight. If anyone else is out there - keep your fingers crossed and lots of pixiedust: for her safe arrival.

ok after much manuvering - barring anymore natural disasters, looks like Disneysweetie may be able to make it on the cruise. They finally were able to deplane at JFK. She has totally forsaken Aerlingus and is flying Delta on Saturday, 5 pm direct to Barcelona. God willing she will be in Barcelona on Sunday morning at 7:30 am. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Lots of TLC and  to her when you see her - she's been through a rough patch! Anyone else having problems?

As far as I know, everyone made it (although a couple of times at guest services I heard people calling around about their luggage, so I don't know if anyone lost bags permanently).

It was an interesting day in Gibraltar, considering my signature line and avatar. I had a real monkey knife fight on my head! I'll have to photoshop in the knives, but two jumped on me at the rock and were having at it!!

Hi all,

We are in Cadiz today. The weather is absolutly perfect. This morning we went to the Royal Riding School in Jerez which was amazing.

We are now sat in an internet cafe after having a drink on a pavement cafe - 1.5 Euros for an hours worth of internet - sure beats Disney.
Day at sea tomorrow, brunch in Palo followed by room tours in the afternoon.

Typically the ship arrives back in Port Canaveral around 5am (doesn't it?)
If it's after 9am, I'll be there. Otherwise I'll be sound asleep...

I think it's anyones guess. The last trip we took, we watched us come into port and yes it was really early. Somewhere between 4 and 5 am. I wonder if the port would have that info as they need to have the workers unload and load the ship. And then again would they release that info?

OK.....
I know everyone gets sick of these types of questions but on behalf of many of us cruising on the Sept. 8th sailing, we have some things to ask. If anyone can please, PLEASE answer one or more of these questions, we would greatly appreciate it!

Any chance you could list the movies showing in the Buena Vista Theater?

Could anyone list the in-cabin movies that are showing?

Who is the current cruise director? Are they staying on when the Magic gets back to Canaveral? If not, who will be taking over?

Are any of the following crew members currently onboard. If so, will they still be onboard in September?
Conrad from Jamaica (server)
Aswald from St. Vincent (assistant server)
Roberto (server)
Ronald from the Netherlands (head server)
Sasha from Croatia (Palo)
Lourdes (Promenade Lounge Bartender)
Yoeman (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)
Wesley (room steward)
Kadir (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)

What is the current band onboard? Will they be staying on in September?

I got a call from a friend who's on the ship right now, and she says the internet service is reeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllly slow. It took 20 minutes to just open up an email. She gave up. Given the rates of both internet service and international phone service, the phone call was actually cheaper.

We were on the Aug 8-18 cruise. I know I saw Conrad from Jamaica. Brent was our cruise director, but I was told he was leaving for vacation when our cruise ended.

They were playing Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean: At world's End and-- I think-- Dead Man's Chest too. Don't remember the others.

We moved into a new house 7 days before our cruise. I am STILL waking up in the night wondering where I am!

It was a wonderful 10 days....................

To answer a few questions:
Seas are very calm, one night of swells according to the Captain,
Dancing with the officers was last night, and Rachael danced with Don "Ducky"Williams at the end, and it was a big hit.
Other Celebs, Jim Brickman the last night at Tenerife, and tonight Susan Egan. Other than that, Just the usual shows and events.
The days at sea have been great, plenty of things to do or not, depending on your wants.
Weather looks good until we get to Castaway Cay.

Signing off,
Ken

Hi everyone - your all probably wondering who the heck is this person????

Well, I actually posted several times before I left, well my family and I did the 11-night July 28 and then went to Paris. I returned to do this repo and overall had a fantastic time.

I just caught this page's comments as my laptop is only a single processor and not a dual which is what I had before the cruise and it went kaput!

Anyway, wanted to reiterate. Saw Conrad - he's still there. Rachel was the CD but you didn't see her wondering around like she did on the PC '05 cruise. She DID however, participate in the skit - If I were not upon the sea skit last night. She had a "ball" playing the role but wish I could say the same about Chris (from Canada) and Trent who were on both of her sides. ROTL - those that know know. ;)

Had a blast but I want to say something which I feel I can because it actually happened to me. So, in plain but calm tones I will say my peace.

I had a fantastic time on the ship - it was glorious, fun and ABSOLUTELY 95% enjoyable. HOWEVER, I would like to say that I was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED at the behavior of some of the "DCL GUESTS." Many went out of their way to distance themselves from many guests and in fact were downright rude to many. I PERSONNALLY experienced an episode that I hope no DISser would ever behave like to others.

My experience on DIS cruises has always been a fun and enjoyable experience. In fact, on our July cruise - I left with such a warm and happy feeling I thought - this is what friendship and the DIS is all about.

On this cruise? DEFINITELY NOT! It was so totally out of the norm that I am shocked and horrified that people behaved themselves in this manner. I hope that in the future, we all take a very good look at ourselves and remember this is a Disney cruise and we are all Disney fanatics at heart. Fun for one and fun for all. If you DON'T want to be nice - you don't have to be but please don't go out of your way to be nasty. The other 5% of the cruise was comments made by people intentionally and as for those 53 DIS people that signed up for fish extender gifts? Pam and I only received about 6 gifts. It wasn't a problem but it was defintely noticable as to who got them and who didn't. We being DIS board fanatics, did our merry best to spread the ::MickeyMo spirit and I think we did a fantastic job not to mention we were always (well ok - Pam was) polite and supernice to everyone. Me being Latina - I had only 2 episodes of  but they didn't last long. So the cruise was a 100% enjoyable experience minus a few bumps or two.

I hope that any future cruises we can all get along. It is a big boat and although it is showing its age - after all - next year will be 10 yrs old, it still holds the magical allure it held for me since the first 3 day cruise 9 years ago.

Thank you to all those that I met - I'm happy and glad that we did. I hope we get to meet on some future cruise. I always like to take something away from every person I meet and learn from each experience. On this one - I learned that I may be from the wrong side of the tracks but I'm sure glad my momma taught me to be nice and polite. As she says, you never know who your going to meet on your way up and their way down. Thank you all for a wonderful and eye-opening experience and I had a blast doing this cruise! Later all!   :dance3:

We got home this PM and had a great time. I did not spend a ton of time with any DISers in particular as I spent most of my time with my DH and DS, but met many of you throughout the weeks, I really enjoyed our conversations. I really enjoyed the tea - thank you Christine. This was one of the best vacations we have ever had and all the help I got on DIS beforehand and the friendly hello's throughout the trip really enhanced that.

Eeyorelvr10 - I apoligize as i am not sure if we meet or not, but i am sorry that you did not receive many fish extender gifts. I think we got about 20 in total and some were from multiple rooms together. did you switch rooms? I know i had a few rooms that i went to on my list that didn't have fish extenders (the room hostess was able to point me to the new room one time) Stupid me didn't take the list and put it in room order so I struggled a bit. Plus i got turned around on floor eight and don't know if i hit every wing! I ended up with 2 left over so i know i missed someone(s). If I am one that missed you i apologize as i know we got yours!!

Later all!   :dance3:

I cannot even imagine what could have transpired and hope that maybe the incidents were due to language barriers and not outwardly rudness.

There were so many guests from foriegn countrys on this sailing.

What cabin were you in? We did not get all the gifts either and I assume it was becasue people ran out. We could not find one traveler and am assuming they either forgot the extender or moved and we got them that way and did not know it.

It was lovely meeting you and chatting with you. Hope your DS mends soon and fast. I agree, the ladies tea was enjoyable. Thanks Chris

We made it home yesterday afternoon. We had a wonderful time. I enjoyed meeting everyone. All the folks I did get the chance to meet were very nice and friendly. Thanks again to Chris for organizing the lovely Ladies' Brunch and Tea. We enjoyed the the little gifts we received in our FE. When I delivered my bookmarks, I just put one in every cabin that had a FE (or some kind of pocket, basket or bag hanging from the fish). I hope I did not miss anyone.

It was a very relaxing and fun cruise.:)

Thank you so much for organising the Pirate Night Picture! I know you had to badger the photography session to get it so thanks. I was disappointed that more people didn't turn up as it was a very small picture and we did give everyone an extra 15 minutes to get there after the Susan Egan show but hey it cant be helped I guess people just didnt want to have a group picture. Thank you for organising it again and when I get a sec I will sort out a copy for you.

Hope you all got home safely

ROTL - those that know know. ;)

lol it was David from Canada not Chris (who is Chris) but yeah I agree this was great. It was a complete last minute change too which is why they were laughing so much as neither expected it!

Personally Im not sure what you experienced but I agreed that unlike previous cruises there wasn't as much going on with Dis people but I think that the things that were organised such as the meet and the pirate pic and the room tours went well and people did get involved. I didnt experience any rudeness from other Dis members and always said Hi to any Disers I noticed.

As for the fish extenders I dont know what happened there but I will point out that not everyone that brings a fish extender has to give a gift. There were also issues with weight limits so some people didn't bring gifts because of that. We (my parents and our room) gave a joint gift so although we had 2 fish extenders we gave 1 gift as is sometimes the case. I personally thought we wouldnt have got as many gifts as we did and we had around 10 I think at most.

I hope that any future cruises we can all get along. It is a big boat and although it is showing its age - after all - next year will be 10 yrs old, it still holds the magical allure it held for me since the first 3 day cruise 9 years ago.

The only thing I was disappointed for was the Pirate Night Photograph because there were litterally 3/4 families that turned up and that was disappointing because it had been organised for 100 which was sad. I know DizzyDAnn had fought hard to get the photographers down and even after waiting an extra 15 minutes it was still a very small pic (the photographer had to come down from deck 4 as he was too high).

I met some really nice Dis people and I hope that everyone got home saferly. I think Disers were definately outnumbered and it was nice that some of us did try to get things sorted out such as the room tours, the brunches and afternoon tea, the pirate photo and the dis meet.

OK.....
I know everyone gets sick of these types of questions but on behalf of many of us cruising on the Sept. 8th sailing, we have some things to ask. If anyone can please, PLEASE answer one or more of these questions, we would greatly appreciate it!

Are any of the following crew members currently onboard. If so, will they still be onboard in September?
Conrad from Jamaica (server)
Aswald from St. Vincent (assistant server)
Roberto (server)
Ronald from the Netherlands (head server)
Sasha from Croatia (Palo)
Lourdes (Promenade Lounge Bartender)
Yoeman (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)
Wesley (room steward)
Kadir (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Ronald was our head server. He said he is staying for 3 more weeks, but is then going to go home and will not be renewing his contract.

I, for one, had a marvelous time. :thumbsup2 We met a couple who have posted on the DIS, and I really look forward to cruising and dining with them again!

We also delivered Fish Extender gifts on the day of the Pirate Deck party. I hope I got everybody from the list, but as people changed rooms, it was too confusing for my little brain to keep track. In the end, I put a gift in every fish extender I could find and hope I didn't miss anybody. We gave out a glo- bracelet and a magnet.

I noticed one day that a gift was delivered to our Fish Extender, but I left it there for Buddy to find as he really enjoys patting down the extender each time we are at the door. When we opened the door later, it was gone. Don't know if it was stolen or not intended for us and taken back as it did say something about Ship of Fools on it. :confused3

I thought the number of FE gifts was fine. People were coming from Europe and suitcase space was limited.

I would like to thank the committee for our FISH EXTENDER Award for most adorable. Buddy really like Eeyore, so when I saw the craft panels on sale, I knew I could use one to fashion something he would like.

I can't say I experienced any down-right rudeness, but I did notice many children who were not properly supervised. They were congregating on stairways, running onto elevators before people could exit, opening doors that they should not have been, and running around during the shows to grab confetti, bubbles and such, not realizing that they were interefering with other people's enjoyment. While it did not spoil my vacation, I did notice it.

I can't believe we had such good weather and a smooth crossing! We had a wonderful server (Leo from India), great food, perfect companions at the dining table and plenty of time to relax as we wished. I look forward to our next cruise.

Thanks to my fellow DISSERs who posted on this thread to help with information and organize events. You made this trip easier for Buddy and I, and we would not have had as much fun without you.

Well, it's back to the laundry. :laundy: One bottle of Spanish Sherry only made it as far as the Orlando airport before it broke. While the smell of my clothing brings back wonderful memories of my tour of the bodega, I'm afraid that others will think I have a drinkng problem!:rotfl2:

I completely forgot about the Pirate night photo.:guilty: :sad1:

I am gratefull for all that was organized.

I met a few folks and saw a few often, but for me this was about family time. No offense to any of of you and it is not personal. I have lived without my husband for 4 years and my niece lives 10 hours away and I only see her a couple times a year. My priority was to devote as much time to them as humanly possible. As much as I enjoy some of the group activities it is not something my husband enjoys and I respect that. I am sure you all can appreciate that.

Furthermore, I do not subscribe to any one group. I am a DCL lover and enjoy associating with others who share the same interest, but family is my number one priority.

Now if any of you are going in December, I will be happy to hang out and do anything together as Dh is not coming along it will be me, my sister and some other sisters from previous cruisers. :dance3:

The time was 7.30 and we were there until 745 (which was when the photographers agreed to wait until) then had the photo. You must have just missed us but we were there. There weren't that many people so they might have missed us because of that as well. Gonna try and post the pic at some point next week as my parents have the photo and they are still on hols in Florida.

Hey everybody - its me again- just have to say that although I have been curious as to find out how many lbs I gained some of my pants are lose still so until I officially get home - I am still on vacation and therefore not scale! :dance3:

As for kids misbehaving - did anyone see the teenagers (old enough to know better) doing the surfing bit on deck 10 on POC DMC on the Ariel Vision? I was watching some 16-17 yo male teenager surf he managed to surf the deck about 3 times before he crashed into some waste basket that happened to jump into his way. While I was not happy to see him hurt some little peace of me wanted to know where the parents of these kids were. I was just about to call someone when apparently someone else did because they scattered like the wind.

Also, I noticed that they kids were constantly pushing the buttons. LOL someone managed to catch one of the kids pushing all the buttons and played with their minds a bit. They stopped.

I have a confession to make - I walked up at the last minute to the pirate: picture too late to get in it but did manage to snap a picture of it. So if anyone forgot to buy one - I can post it if you'd like. It actually looked really cute. It was small but not that small and everyone looked fantastic. All in all, a good size picture and you can see everyone rather well.

We are just about to leave for some activity but I can post it later if anyone is interested?????

Also, I would like to add my thanks to all those that handled activities for us, the room tours were fantastic and thank you all who opened their home away from home for us to enjoy. Chris, thank you for all your effort - will talk to you later. DizzyDAnn - thank you for the picture effort - you must have gone to heck to get that organized - thank you one and all! You are all definitely ::MickeyMo  !

I think it went well. My niece met allot of new friends and we only saw her at dinner. A group of them would either go to Lumerres at Luch time and order Shirley Temples and have lunch there or Parrot Cay.

They even had had action pictures taken.

I went to the Lady's Brunch that day! I met some great people.

I manged to gain 10 lbs and I didn't think the food was that great! Get to go to my Weight Watchers Meeting tomorrow night. Took all the material with me but didn't track. I normally don't eat dessert but ate it 3 to four times a day and had ice cream.

I did enjoy the Mickey Bar on the last night!

Just a quick check in as I am not feeling well at all today. Is anyone else sick? All weekend I thought it was just jetlag but today I am really in pain and nasueas (sp). Not sure if I caught something on the ship or the airplane home.

Pirate night photo - I went out from dinner at 7:30 and looked around the atrium. I did not see anyone out there, except a few people waiting for Goofy to come back (at least I think it was him). I did not see any DIS people, at least not any that I recognized. Sorry about that. I really wanted to particpate in that picture.

Fish gifts, I started out following my list, but then I just started dropping things in every FE I found.

Gaining weight, I gained 6 lbs and have lost them already. One positive outcome from coming home sick I guess. I don't think I've eaten as much food in the 3 days I've been home as I did in one day on the cruise.

Brunch and Tea were great. Thanks Chris. And many thanks to PJ (Palo's manager) for working things out for us.

Gotta take some meds and get some rest. I'll be back later with some pics.

I personnally found the number of kids running around the halls at all hours annoying if Im honest. At 1 or 2 in the morning surely young kids should be in bed? Thats my rant.

The pirate picture was disappointing (because of the number who turned up not the photo itself) but it still looks cute so Ill post it up here later. Thanks again Dianna (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) for arranging it and it was nice to meet you again.

We didnt socialise as much with the Dis people this time as on the previous cruise so I think that is why it was different and I did hear of some issues with the Other Board but I wasnt present at any of them.

Yes please if you could post it that would be cool. I know DizzyDAnn didnt manage to get one.

OK as promised - here is the first one - more to come later but DH is clamoring for breakfast so I have only time for one.

Small but clear and cute! Congrats all that attended. You DIS are the best!!!

I apologize for the smallness but you can cut and crop at your own if you like. Or if you would like a copy - PM me and I can send it to you via an attachment. I usually shot at a higher end MP so you can enlarge w/o losing much clarity.

Hope you all like it!

Hi Chris!

That was fun. Believe it or not that was my one night of party the other 2 times I went up was for POC COTBP & DMC. Missed AWE on Jumbo Tron. Right after Mickey came I left too. I started to yawn! It was fun though.

OK - I too am having withdrawals that I'm trying to see if I can corral a friend and his wife to do a trip in Jan for her bday. :rotfl2:

Thanks once again for organizing the brunch - I had fun!

Talk to you later - just found out DD has a scrimmage in volleyball which I am totally unprepared for - later all!

You didn't miss AWE on the Ariel View. It wasn't shown. Todd found out that they didn't have it in the right format to show, that's why they showed it in the Walt and several times in the Buena Vista.

Well that answers that question. I thought they didn't want to cause a riot! Hey TD - Megan (my oldest DD) was totally jealous when she saw your costume. Said she had lots to do if she wanted to be original. LOL - she is considering applying for seasonal work at the Halloween store here in Norwalk - its huge and her BFF said that they constantly need workers and they pay buckoo $$ for seasonal. I am "encouraging" her not to work full time and concentrate on her school. 2 semesters to go before she transfers back to a University. Oh well, such is life.

Welcome home everyone! I had a wonderful time on our journey. I wanted to thank everyone who left us some goodies in our bright orange fish. It was supposed to look like he was going to eat the fish, but I don't think the idea was properly executed. Our cabin host figured it out on the third day!

We gave out the flashing cruise ship magnets on the second day and some animal stickers toward the end. I didn't know if we were supposed to say who the goodies were from, so we didn't put anything on it. I did leave a little note on a few wipey boards though. There should have been one magnet for each person in the party who had a FE. A few rooms that said they wre going to have a FE didn't, so I stuck the magnets to the door. I hope I didn't miss anybody or send them to the wrong place.

I stupidly forgot to print out the navigator, and didn't notice until after we left. I only printed out a list of people with FE's. I thought the room tour was supposed to be on the first sea day and I went to the first room that was listed on the nice treasure map that was sent to the room, but nobody was there. I figured I had the time wrong and didn't have a navigator to check, so I left. I see that it was actually on the second sea day, so I want to apologize for not attending. I hope I didn't cause any trouble.

I didn't dress up for pirate night, so I didn't come for the picture. I did see "Captain Todd and Melissa Swan" and you guys looked fabulous! I was so jealous of everyone's pirate outfits that I went and bought the pirate mickey ears and hoop earring, but it just wasn't the same.

We spent three nights at the Caribbean Beach and got to check out Disney Quest (it was OK to spend a few hours there, but not sure if it's worth the price) and Pleasure Island (TOTALLY dead and a huge disappointment compared to what it used to be - no more midnight count-down and fireworks). We didn't get to Blizzard Beach because we were still burnt pretty badly from Castaway Cay. Maybe next time.

The entire time went by too quickly and I'm sad to be home, but we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next trip.

Hi Monica,

sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope you get better soon.

I must answer this - NO - Todd is not "too much into himself" - You don't get it. WE HAD A WONDERFUL - MAGICAL TIME. Todd published the pics for all of us to enjoy - especially those who weren't there on board to party w/us and for those who were to remember what fun we had AND for us all to get excited about being PIRATES on the PC.

Yeah I guess you did bug me - I was there you weren't.

And Grandmax3 is also right. Due to your health and our dining rotation, we never had the chance to meet a lot of DISsers. We were on the MAGIC, but had a very different cruise than they did.

I agree . . . I don't like to complain, but we had some things taken off our door as well . . . also from talking to some people it seems the fish extender gift I delivered (personalized post it notes for "Magic in the Med") was taken out of many people's fish extenders. I also couldn't believe how much noice I heard from very young kids after midnight. That being said, overall it was a terrific cruise!

I just want to say that I want to be back on the Magic. The 14 days just flew by. The positive side was meeting so many new people and seeing so many old (not age) friends. I tried to say hi to everyone no matter which side of the boards they were on. Many people are on more than one side. We all were on the cruise to have fun and I know we did. Our cabin steward was great. And my "sister" in the gift shop just added to our trip making it more special. Thank you everyone who made my mom feel so special.

Negative side - the amount of unsupervised kids running around and being rude. That is one thing that really surprised me. I would like to thank the people that left us gifts in our fish extender and I had heard that people were taking some gifts out, which is a shame people have to do it.

We just booked the 9/23/07 4 day Wonder and celebrate DD Lindsay's and my birthday. Laura, aren't you going to join us this year for a piece of birthday cake. :rotfl2:

Anyway, to quote my mom "This was the best vacation I ever had". Words just can't describe it.

Looking forward to cruising with you again.

Hi everyone,

Finally got home to UK - spent 3 days at the Beach Club after the cruise but both my husband and I were too tired to visit the parks - this was a first for us as we normally can't keep away. I blame the cruise, we enjoyed it so much.

The cruise was great - fantastic weather, made some good friends, took part in lots of acrtivities and still found time to spend quality time with daughters - what more could we ask for.

Hope everyone received the gifts we put in your fish extenders. Seems some of you had problems with "loosing" items. I gave out 50 of "things you might need" gifts from myself, Gismo1554 and Rikimuk, and also later in the cruise a personalised chocolate bar showing the route we took.
Here's a list of those rooms I gave gifts to - 1042,1044,1046,1076,2016,2024,2056,2058,2064,2079, 2080,2135,2137,2138,2500,2502,2504,2635,5142,5518, 6012,6037,6139,6148,6112,6114,6120,6122,6140,6142, 6545,6568,6628,6643,6647,6654,7014,7136,7537,7570, 7598,7600,7634,8030,8074,8100,8548,8560,8566,8582. (I am sorry but I could not leave the chocolate bars at rooms without fishextenders).
I would be interested in hearing how many of these gifts "disappeared", as if its a lot I would think twice about doing this on future cruises.

Sorry to see so few of us made it to the pirate picture - thanks Diana for taking the time to sort the photographer out for us.

I too found there was a lot more noise from older children this cruise, with them playing around in lifts and congregating on decks 4 and 3 in the early hours of the morning (1 or 2 am when my oldest daughter and myself always went for a walk around the ship). Even saw a group of yougsters one lunch time giving their server a headache, and on the last night one teenager was opening up the "unwanted picture" box in shutters and taking pictures away.
Looking at some of the ages who were hanging around I must be getting old as I would not have let my children be unsupervised at that time of night/morning.

Sorry we didn't get to meet many of you, time just seemed to fly by, and we were always rushing from one activity to the next.

Hope to meet you all again on future cruises.

edited to add - I was a little concerned about Deck one - Cat 9 but I have to say that we really enjoyed the location between the forward and mid ship elevators and the QUIET hallways - the few times I went to deck two hallway - it struck me as being a VERY busy location.
Wouldn't hesitate to do deck one again.

We got both the useful items and the candy bar. And let me tell you the useful items came in handy. I had forgotten to bring anything to put my hair up under my wig on pirate night, so the rubber bands were much appreciated!

This is by no means a complete trip report (that's coming later and will be quite long....I tend to ramble a lot). But wanted to get some pics up since so many folks have been asking.

My cheeseburger at the airport! I had been craving a rare, juicy cheeseburger. On the cruise, they would only cook them well done and dry as a bone. I joked that I was going to ask my friend to bring one to the airport when he picked me up. I asked for a home cooked one and ended up with a Nations burger, but it was still heaven.

:goodvibes Hey!

We arrived back on Thursday, got the kids enrolled in school and are just doing laundry.

I must say, I do feel some guilt over the pirate picture, as is my nature. I probably should have called everyone, but I did not print off room numbers and figured, after the last Repo, that numbers would change anyway. I just ASSUMED (with all that entails) that people would remember. I am genuinely sorry for not reminding people.

As far as FE gifts, I put Mickey postcards, pencils and homaemade magnets in them. Anyone who had something hanging on a door received a gift. Thanks you for the wonderful gifts I received. They were all delightful and added to the joy of our trip.

I also hope the awards for the FE's were okay and sorry they took so long to give out. It took longer to go around and judge and award than I had thought. It was fun to really see and enjoy all the extenders. I need to give a special mention to the 2 extenders on deck 6 that held personal pictures. They will the inspiration for my future extenders!

************************************************** *
To anyone who saw me make a fool of myself during the "So YOu THINK YOU Know YOUR FAMILY" game show in the Promenade Lounge...I wish I had stood up to say that a question like "What family member does your parent most dislike?" should never have been asked. I have shed many tears that I answered, trying to match my daughter, caught up in the game, not explaining the context. I LOVE each member of my family and will long regret my answer. I would never want to hurt anyone in my family. They are my life.

So, I risk making a fool of myself here and now, only to try and rectify actually naming someone then. Thanks for reading.

************************************************** ******

OTHERWISE, the cruise was wonderful. We lost every game we entered and had a great time doing it...and came home with wonderful consolation prizes...I am consoled.:goodvibes Our boat we built was way cool, though. It's now in the crew quarters on display. Yipee!

I LOVED meeting Lorraine and her family and count them as dear friends. (They actually took bets on how many of our kids would be asleep at dinner!)

Katey was able to chat with Susan Egan and her group, not realizing it was Susan Egan. She even helped her pick out songs for the talent show. Nice people...super nice. So glad I decided that before I knew they were "somebodies."

I enjoyed the Palo brunch and tea (Chris and Casey are just fun!) I also had fun on the room tour--thanks to all who volunteered their rooms. The posh rooms just reminded me that I was slummin' it. :lmao: SIster Ann And Brother Dan were so nice to let me bring my family back. (I hope you got all your stuff packed up.)

I also enjoyed talking to Gizmo and Rikimuk in the hottub. I hope we can cruise again together.

Kids running amuk???? They were probably mine. I never saw them mukking it up, but i did see teens playing cards in the glass elevators and a pretty intriguing poker game with young boys using stacks of chocolate Euros for their bets. kinda funny. The kids didn't bother me, but then, I didn't put anything I loved on my door, and I am used to noise. It's a Disney ship--Ocean Quest was open til 12 and The Stack til 2--and most of the parents were asleep well before that (not me!--Rockin Bar D!)

No flooding at all. Now, the mosqitos and flies are horrible. You can barely spend anytime outside. I have to hose my kids down with OFF before sending them to the bus stop.

Now, now, Kasey, You are a beautiful woman! I would've put you in your early thirties! I, on the other hand, plan on booking a "spa heavy" cruise in the future in some weak effort to match Rachel's youthful appearance. Cheaper and less painful than surgery, right??? It was fun to really see and enjoy all the extenders. I need to give a special mention to the 2 extenders on deck 6 that held personal pictures. They will the inspiration for my future extenders!

SAME HERE DIANNA. Hope to see you on a cruise soon.

I choose to believe my full figure "fills out" my wrinkles, thus making me appear more youthful!:rotfl2: Therefore FAT is FABULOUS, right??!!!!;) (Where ARE those cupcakes????)

Unfortunately, my sparkly gray hair negates the whole effect.:headache:

Lorraine, my e=mail is up again! My friend had twins while I was gone and filled my box with pictures. Oh so cute! (I obviously love babies!)

LOL I think this is a brilliant excuse for me not to diet! And don't worry about the grey hair I have had grey hairs since I was 15 and they just seem to be getting worse! My theory is they're part of me now so may as well put up with it!

My grey hair is kinda becoming my signature. I grew it out when I was expecting my last, not realizing how grey I'd become. At first I liked the compliments I received, but now I'm just too lazy to dye it.

Doorway to Dreams just opened up in Woodfield. It's part of the Disney Vacation Club and sounds wonderful. I thought between that and the Disney Store there we could get our Disney pixie dust fix! :smickey:

Mine too.. it just got too hard to cover all the gray. so I just keep it that way and keep it super short. very easy to take care of. LOL
