Is there any place other than online to buy BodyGlide?
I've read that many posters use it to prevent blisters on your feet and I want to get some before our trip. I've found it online (looks like a deodorant tube right?) but I'm wondering if a chain store like Rite Aid or Wal-mart sells it also?
Also - how much would I want to buy for 4 people (2 adults, 2 young children) - and my DH  has size 13 feet!
Thanks! :yay:

It is in a tube the size and shape of a deodorant. I can't imagine you'd need more than one stick for the entire family.
I purchased mine online at Drugstore.com, because I couldn't find it in my local drug stores (CVS and Duane Reade). I remember seeing it on Walmart.com, but couldn't find it in the store there either. I received it within a few days of ordering.
I bought mine at my local Sports Authority store. It was in the running gear section. I am note sure if Target or Walmart would carry it, though.
It looks like a gel-antiperspirant stick - depending on if you plan to use it just one feet (or elsewhere as well, since it prevents chafing), I would say one per person would be plenty.

I've seen it at a Saucony (running shoes) outlet and REI.

I got it at Dick's Sporting Goods store. I couldn't find it on my own, but a sales associate took me to a small plastic strip along a rack that had them hanging off of it. Then, up at the register, I noticed they had some there too while I was checking out so you may want to try there first. It was $7.99 and I only bought one for our family of 5. We will be using it on feet only. I hope it's enough. I certainly am not buying us each one and spending $40 because this trip is using our life savings as it is........LOL!

You got my curiosity up since I've never heard of this product. On their company website (www.bodyglide.com), there is a search to see if a local retailer in your area carries it. Click on "Where to Buy" at the bottom of the page. Hope that helps!

Also got mine online at Drugstore.com - it was cheaper than buying it at Sports Authority

Any running store or running website will carry it. A little goes a long way. I buy a new large size at the beginning of summer and I always have some left at the end. I use it every single day too.

It can prevent blisters on feet and chafing. Male runners use it (and bandaids) on their nipples and both male and female use it to relive chafing under arms and between their legs. Even the thinnnest people can have some chafing! ;)

Oh Ok. Thanks for the info !!! I guess we will find use for it when we go hiking in the spring(if it finally does come here in Chicago or who knows we will jump directly to summer !!).

I bought it at Dick's Sporting Goods in Indy. :thumbsup2 But it was not where I thought it would be and had to ask for it. It was up near the boxing/weights.

But what exactly does it do???? If you put it on the bottom of your feet, does it keep your feet from moving around in your socks? If you're a little overweight and your thighs rub together, it's supposed to prevent this, but how? I guess I'm just not sure about what it does and how it works!!
Thanks,
JULIE

Don't dis the JuJu of the body glide by asking how it works! Dissing da JuJu is bad!
I don't have a clue. It makes things slip more easily I guess but it lasts a 17 mile run and I am NOT skinny. Not at all. I have no clue what the mechanics are but I know with Vasoline, which I have also used, It wears off and the pores are blocked, not with Body Glide.
All I know is they have made a product that actually does what it says it is going to do!
(as a heavy runner I am seriously considering building an altar to this stuff. Ok, I'm not that nuts but almost ;) )

I see you are in PA, do you have an Eckerd near you? I recently checked at our Dick's, and they said they didn't have it, but that Eckerd did.
