This will be our 3-year-old's first real Disney trip. We have reservations at SSR, but are thinking about trying something new at the 7-month window. We are thinking about either BCV or VWL. Any opinions about what is better when travelling with a toddler? We will also have our other children (10 and 7). They have stayed at SSR and loved it, but we thought it might be time for a change. Thanks!

BCV if possible. The pool is a slam dunk for a child of that age.
Best ever........

I agree with B cubed that the BCV would be a good choice. There is a great sandy area of SAB that is shallow that a little one can sit at and play in the sand all day. At the entrance to the big slide there is a kiddy slide that he/she can use while the older ones climb the stairs to the main slide. Nice character breakfast at the BCV too.

Cat I forgot about the kiddie slide. EVen more reason for BCV.
That slide was the first my daugher ever went down. It took us 5 min of telling here everything would be "ok".
lol........
DVC is a good thing.

I agree with the other 2. I've seen so many happy little children of that age at BCV enjoying SAB. You won't be sorry going there

I haven't heard much about the pool at VWL...does it have any features that would make it fun for kids?

Since this is a first Disney trip, and not a pool party, I'd say stay at VWL because of it's proximaty to the Magic Kingdom, which is the place your little one will likely want to visit the most. the WL pool is pretty neat looking, and I know there is a rock slide there, but I have no idea if it is little kid friendly. Most Disney resort pool areas do have a kids area to them though. OKW has a great sand area and SSR has a very fun shooting water fountain/Donald Duck area that kids that age would love!

I would go for either BWV or BCV. BCV has a pool that everyone loves.

We haven't stayed at BCV yet, so I can't comment on that; however, my children have really enjoyed staying at VWL. My youngest is now 5, but stayed there when he was 2 and 4. He's not a big fan of the water and he really enjoyed playing on the steps at the quiet pool. I think the smaller size and the smaller crowd made him feel much more comfortable around the water. Also, I love it because we spend most of our time at MK and you can just take the boat to the MK and roll the stroller right onto the boat and never fold it up. I hate messing with the stroller on the busses. This is just my opinion and as I stated, I can't compare it to BCV.

You can't go wrong with any of them. :cloud9: I think at that age WLV might be nice because it is so close to MK. They have a kiddie pool.Good luck deciding

I'll second that. You can't go wrong with any of them.

If you stick with SSR - they have a zero entry pool which is good for 3 year olds (mine thought so), but BCV would be the best from a pool standpoint!
