Hello:
It seems to me that the quickest way to MK from FW should be the water taxi (?). Is there a charge or is it included like the rest of the transportation system.

Yup! It's the fastest (and most fun!!) way from MK to FW! The boat's set up so you can sit inside or outside. If it's a nice day, we love to sit out front and enjoy the sun on the trip! It's about 15 minutes or so.

All of WDW transportation is free (buses, monorails and boats)!
