What ride do you run to first?

For me personally, it's usally Pirates or Indiana Jones. What ride do you have to ride as soon as you enter the park?

On our first day we always ride Peter Pan first.

It all depends. If it's a trip with the kids, we high tail it to FL for Peter Pan or Dumbo (depending on who won the coin toss). If it's an adult's only trip, then it's either Indy, or Space Mtn. (again, the coin decides).

Now I have a 5 year old and it's Buzz or Peter Pan!!

For our family we usually head to Jungle Cruise (DS loves it), Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain RR. From there we just wind our way around the park. :banana:

We usually go get a fastpass for either Buzz or SM and then go over to POTC. Or there is always shopping!!!

I'm planning on a trip to WDW in August, and I'm rather thinking that Spaceship Earth might be my first port of call, either that or the TTA.

We used to go to Indy and grab a fastpass But road Big Thunder first.
By the time we got off of Big Thunder we would walk onto Indy with our Fastpasses.

Now we switched Big Thunder with the new Space Mountain, and sometimes reverse the order.

Growing up (late 70's early 80's) it was always the Matterhorn. Now it changes, depending on if it is EE, which kid has the run of the schedule that day or ???

That's the exact same thing that we do. :) Most of the time it's PP first since the wait for that is almost always longer than Dumbo.

It depends on who I am with. If I had my choice, it would be Peter Pan. The sweetpea usually chooses Space Mountain or Indy. If there is someone else with us, we generally try to do their fave first since we go so often.

We learned the hard way NOT to go twards Indy & the rest of AdventureLand... that was during Peak Season (SUMMER) and we usually get FP to Indy then go to SM :) get in line and that usually takes time then hit Indy with FP.... I cant wait til my trip!! :)

Indiana Jones for us! It's always our first ride...no question and no arguments. We do it first and we do it last too. :rotfl2:

One time, when Indy was still a bit new, we went before rope drop and sat in the Plaza Inn for breakfast. We watched as the rope dropped and the entire crowd moved en masse towards Adventureland. It was soooo funny.

Ours has nothing to do with ride lines.... it's all about tradition. My dad always insisted we ride Jungle Cruise first. So to this day - if I have control of the schedule - that's where we head. Yes - we loose out a bit on lines - sometimes we'll ride Peter Pan first and then go to JC - but hey - traditions are traditions!

We get on the Disneyland Railroad and ride it to New Orlean Square, get off and ride Splash Mountain.

Ridemax is a software program which punches out schedules to help you avoid lines and crowds. I love it! I grew up around DL so I know the park well but I do so much more with my kids with the help of Ridemax. There is always time for the rides and a nice afternoon break with their schedules. We don't run to any rides, We enjoy walking down main street. When I went the first few time, you bought a ticket book and there were only so many tickets in it. While we loved the rides, we also had time to (had to :rotfl: ) enjoy the atmosphere. To this day, I still can have a wonderful time just walking around DL - which is a darn good thing since my daughter will only go on about a third of the rides (no coaster, dark, or scarry rides).

We fastpass Indiana, ride Splash Mountain twice, then wind back to Pirates and Haunted Mansion and take it from there. We are always miserable in that Peter Pan line though, so we know we should really switch and go there first!

With DS4, it's Dumbo and when he'll ride it Peter Pan (scared of a lot of dark rides at the moment).

Without him DW & I head for Indy then POTC & HM.
