has anyone been to the Seychelles?

I'm looking for advice/opinions/information/etc. regarding the Seychelles.

I suppose even if you haven't been but have heard things, that would be useful.

I've never been myself but our neighbours who live down our lane go every year and always enjoy themselves. They are keen sailors and do lots of Island hopping - a great way to see so much of the area. If you have any specific questions that nobody else can help with I will be happy to ask them.

We've been to the Maldives, which was wonderful and I would highly recommend. After the Tsunami I expect a lot of these places really appreciate the tourism.

When are you planning to go? I hear that the weather is best during the summer, to avoid the rainy season.

My friend went there for her honeymoon. She said it was absolutely fantastic and her photos look marvellous. The only thing, personally, that puts me off is the spiders - they are HUGE!!!

i found an article that seemed to imply anytime was ok to go....that's why i'm trying to find people who have actually been...
If we go it would either be a spur of the moment thing in the next few weeks, or else perhaps in the late summer...
