Since we all LOVE food and LOVE to talk about it :) what does everyone get if they make a 30 min stop (limo service) coming from the airport? We won't have a fridge.... any good ideas? We're going in August so bottled water is a must!

Normally we drive our rental car to the grocery store but, this is some things we normally get when we don't have a fridge.
A foam cooler
a few cases of bottled water
bread
bagles
cream cheese
yogurt
peanut butter
lunch meat
cheese
mustard
milk
chips
pretzels
juice boxes
cereal
We also pick up some paper plates, napkins, forks, spoons, knifes, and we get the little packages of jelly to make pb&j sandwiches.

****ditto on the styrofoam cooler. We always drive to the grocery store. We will still buy a cooler even though I hear some of the rooms now have refrigerators. It is nice to have the cooler. After we are done with the cooler, we try to pass it on to another family staying at the hotel. We bring quite a few snacks in our luggage but buy a few and some beverages.

We stop for:
water
soda
junk food - chips, salsa
individually wrapped crackers for the park
We have a fridge - so DH usually buys beer!

I hear some of the rooms now have refrigerators. Every room in every moderate and deluxe resort has a fridge as standard equipment.
We got a grocery delivery based on our knowledge that we had a fridge. But items we didn't need a fridge for: fresh fruit, instant oatmeal (use the coffee maker to heat the water!), junk food. If you do the cooler thing (remember, almost every hotel in the USA has ice machines readily available for guests), you can also get: cream cheese or butter to spread on bagels; yogurt; milk; OJ. If you go this route, help yourself out by also getting a box of resealable bags (like Ziplok) so your melting ice doesn't ruin food not packaged to get wet.
We did have a fridge (totally worth it, IMO, even if you have to rent one). We got:
Milk
Pop
Cereal
Cheese
Crackers
Salsa
Chips
Cookies
Peanut Butter
Bottled Water
Wine (don't forget a corkscrew!)
This covered our breakfasts and snacks very easily. We even made a "meal" out of the snacks and cookies when the hurricane hit (don't ask!).

We had a fridge, but the only things we bought were beer, bottled water and Little Debbies. We are not big breakfast eaters so the Little Debbies were breakfast and the rest of the meals we ate in the parks. The beer was for drinking a couple on the balcony after getting back from Illuminations. :thumbsup2

We mailed ahead a box to our hotel with paper products-plates, bowls spoons, napkins, etc... and included cereal, kids snacks, snack bars, and whatever other lightweight things would fit so it wasn't too pricey to mail. Then on the grocery stop bought a styrofoam cooler, water, pop, juice boxes, PBJ, bread, and some fruit. The box was there waiting for us on arrival and we had breakfast every morning in our room (except for the character breakfast, of course), and some lunches :thumbsup2 . Saved a ton of money.

We get the following and its me and DW: Bologna, salami, buns, mayo, pickles, olives, chips (impromptu picnics) beer, wine and pop(disney prices too high). We go once and load up for the trip and if we don't have a grocery stop, we walk from DTD to Goodings and shop ourselves and bring it back to the bus stop and bus to our resort.

Good ideas everyone! So am I correct in assuming you can buy wine in grocery stores in Florida?
