What I do is when I am looking at a pin that is on my Want List, I scroll down and click on: What could I trade to get this pin?
It gives a fair guess. But that's about it. But there have been times that another person and I have agreed on a trade other than the request sent by Trade Assistant. (TA sends the other person an e-mail the next morning if you select any that you would do a 1:1 pin trade with.)
I have also have clicked on Members Trading and looked at their wants and e-mailed the person directly.
It is a big help.

I have had wonderful luck lately with PinPics trades using both the Trade Assistant generator and the direct emailing when the other party provides their email address. I think the changes made over the last few months have made the Trade Assistant very helpful. You can also click on your "trades pending" to make sure that your trade offers are equitable. If you have a rack lined up with a limited edition, for example, you have the option of deleting the trade. Thanks Britt, Figgy and Dom13 (and anyone else who's name I don't know) for all the hard work that makes PinPics the powerful and efficient support for collectors and traders.

I've never used Trade Assistant - not sure how it works, etc., but I do check the members trading & members wanting links. I've been successful with it.
