Hey there fellow DISer's I'm going to bite the bullet and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Not the Grand this year but 200 sounds better than 300.
So my questions is, I can get the Hotel at a 210.00 rate but wondered if that was a good rate and I should jump on it....OR...wait??
Also, I'm an AP holder, so IF IF IF a special comes along (I have NO idea where to find one?) will I be able apply it?
Guess I'm just wondering if I should get a hotel across the street on Harbor and then wait until a week or so before to try and get DH for cheaper? Does that make sense? Does it work that way?
Ahhhh!! Not sure what to do?

Hi, Momtojoce,
Yes, you can transfer the newer and cheaper AP rate to your existing room reservation, IF you do it soon enough where the rate is still available...I would keep an eye out in case they go really really quickly. Which I am sure they do as in the case with the onsite hotels.
So with that being the case, and this is MY opinion, I would go ahead and book the DLH at the rate you have now (especially if you really wanted to stay there, because the rates may go up, or the hotel may book up), and then watch for lower rates as the time gets closer. I think the Disneyland website and mousesavers are good places to watch for them at. But also make sure you are happy enough with that rate you already have so that if nothing comes out cheaper, you will be satisfied with it. :teeth:

Depends on who you are getting that rate through. If it's Disney, by all means BOOK IT! You can always adjust it later if rates go down. If it's anyone else, check their cancellation/change policy to see how much of a hit you'd take.

How good a rate it is is somewhat dependent upon when you are going. I just booked the $210 (+tax, resort fee) rate for mid June through AAA. I liked it because it allowed a 3 day cancellation while some bookings have penalties associated with any change or cancellation. I booked this week, and the AAA rates have already gone up for the days that we are going, and Expedia is even showing some of the days as filled up. Rates should be high most of April (Spring Break), moderate in May through early June, and higher in July and most of August. I think it's hard to get AP or other deals in summer.
You might try to get a no obligation quote through Dreams Unlimited, and mention your AP. In the past, I got a decent package in which I got a view room for around the going price of a standard room.
