Although the Dining Plan sounds like a good value, for various reasons we've decided against. Maybe next trip. We'd like to have a few lunches or dinners at sit down restaurants. Can you recommend some less expensive ones either at DTD or in the parks?

First off, you will save some money going for lunches. IMO, lunches are better anyway, because it helps break up your day, you can walk it off and eat a lighter dinner later, which helps you sleep better, and it is not as crowded. Have you checked allearsnet.com yet? All of the menus and prices are on there. Then you can come back to the DIS, and head to the Restaurant board and get feedback on some of the choices you've made.

Good luck! :goodvibes

i don't think it's on the menu at allearsnet, but marrakesh (in epcot's morrocco pavilion) has, every time i have gone there over the past several years, featured a $12 3-course lunch special. it's fantastic, the restaurant is beautiful, and never crowded. we hit it every trip!

From past experience, Disney meals are huge, me and wife usually split whatever we order. That way she's not stuffed and neither am I and we have no doggie bag to carry around or find a place for. We don't do alot of sit downs, only one come to think of it and its Yachtmans Steakhouse, its our treat to ourselves.

Other than that, Captain Jacks in DTD is a lunch for us, we like Caseys hotdogs in the MK, we like the breakfast buffet at Trails End in FW and we go there some evenings just for their beer and pizza and secluded atmosphere.

We sort of munch are way around the parks and resorts, food courts what not and its more of a hit and miss attitude to dining, why we never use the dining plan. We see something we like, we eat it, alway have room for pop corn, ice cream candy apple. Hang the diet, chlorestrol, harding of arteries, for 10 days, we're on vacation.

I tried the morrocan food and thought it was terrible. I know each person is different but I'd try something small first to taste it before I spent too much money on a meal.

I thought breakfast at Boma (a buffet) was wonderful and well worth the price. I didn't need lunch at all when I ate breakfast here. Check it out!
