While visiting the parks we're thinking of meal options. We may want to try the Trail's End or BOMA and Ohana. Since we're not staying on property, can we ride ANY Disney transportation that we choose to resorts or are there restrictions? It seems in the past when we rode the boat to/from Poly/GF we had to show our room key. Not all drivers asked to see it, but many did. What transportation are we eligible to use?

Also, on our last trip, (also off-property) we ate at Ohana and were able to park in the Poly lot. Has that changed? We don't need to be resort guests to park there if we're having dinner there, correct? TIA

Hmm... I don't remember the rules regarding riding Disney transportation... but in the 12 trips I've taken I've NEVER been asked to show our room key. Though, I didn't take the boat to/from the GF/Poly so maybe it's particular to that boat??

And yes, you can park in the Poly lot if you're eating at O'Hana's. You may need to have ADRs there though - the last few times we did this that asked if we had ADRs and checked our name on a list before they let us in.

You may use Disney transportation if you're going to have dinner, look around, etc. If anyone asks for your room key, simply tell them you're going for dinner. It's no problem. I can only remember once when we were asked -- but it was when the MK was closing and they were trying to minimize the rush to the resort monorail loop.
