Hey ---- Two Thousand Posts....you Guys Are Good!!! Jen beat me to the actual post...maybe I'll get a shot when we get to 3K.

Well...just finished up the power point files for this Sunday's service - so...all my committments are complete. All I have left is to pack - load the van and relax. I can't believe vacation is just about to start.

I'll try to pass Orlando weather each evening...

Have a great weekend. :cool1: :yay: :yay: :cool1:

Hi all, sadly, my wonderful father-in-law, who has been getting progressively weaker with end stage heart failure, has taken a turn for the worse earlier this week. He is under hospice care at home and is now very, very sick. I think it could be a matter of a week or two. We are 99% sure that we are going to have to cancel our cruise. We need to be here for him and the rest of our family right now. I'll keep you all UTD with this. Please keep him in your prayers that he has a comfortable end of life experience. This is all we can hope for. If we don't get to meet you all on the cruise, I will look forward to keeping in touch. (Bev, keep those jokes coming...we need the pick me up right now!) Talk to you all soon, Tracy :sad2:

Hey all, I wanted to know if anyone has heard about the weather in Florida and where we'll be cruising. It seems as if the extended forecast in Florida (at least near Port Canaveral) is rain and storms. Just wanted to know if anyone has heard anything. I'm praying we have beautiful weather the entire time. I think my entire family will be doing the dramamine or bonine thing before we travel and during travel time, just to be sure. Let me know if anyone has heard anything. Kristi

Alright. I'm working on these Bahama forms. Ugh. In section 2 it asks for the travel agency and the city of travel agency. Since we used AAA to book our DCL trip do we use them? Or do we just use DCL? And, if we just use DCL, what is the city? And, I guess we don't need to fill out the intended stay part? or do we just put 1 day and not check anything else? and, last but not least, do we check vacation on the trip purpose or leave that blank? I hate forms. Ugh. Any help would be great. Thanks. Kristi

For Travel agent, even though I used Dreams Unlimited, I put in Disney Cruise Line. The city for DCL is Celebration. For intended night's stay, I put in "0". Type of accomodation I put "other" - "Disney Magic". I checked off "vacation" on trip purpose.

Thanks for the weather report. Hopefully the weather won't affect our trip much (if at all). :)

For everyone I have one last question regarding those dag-on forms. For my DD's form does it matter which one of us signs for her? And, do we just sign her name or do we sign our own name? So confusing. The forms to travel to and from Vietnam were much easier than this. :) Thanks for all the help!

Ok, one more question for all you experienced cruisers....

Can you wear jeans to the dining rooms on Pirate night, along with a pirate-y t-shirt? Or can you wear shorts on that night with pirate stuff?

DH said "You mean I have to wear pirate PANTS, too, and i can't wear jeans:scared1:" as we were pulling clothes out to go to the dry cleaners today... Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

PS: Jeez... it is 8:15am already and NO ONE else has posted anything?? I must be the only one without a life today! :lmao:

:cool1: I just called and found out what's playing on the ship for OUR cruise!!!:cool1:

Wild Hogs
Meet The Robinsons
Bridge to Terebitha
Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End
Invincible
The Game Plan
Underdog
Ratattoulie

I know there's a few I haven't seen and am looking forward to seeing. Only six more days - or "this time next week!" Looking forward to seeing everyone. BTW - what color beads are we wearing? Green?

Cheers!

My family are all dressing as pirates that night. They have costumes but I am wearing black denim capris with a striped shirt and a belted blouse over that belted. Black Croc Capri shoes and some sort of scarf.....
I can't find a womans costume that fits and doesn't look too skanky.:lmao:

Cool! Thanks for finding that out:thumbsup2 I was going to do that -- but completely forgot. My kids have been wanting to see The Game Plan but I had a feeling it would be on the ship so I put it off. We haven't seen Underdog yet either, well DS has, so that's cool. As for beads, I bought green. I finally started to pack yesterday, and after my sons soccer game today, I'm going to go do some more shopping and packing -- we leave on Wednesday -- time is flying by now :cool1:

Hey!
It's a Hanna Montana 9th Birthday Party today for DD. She is so excited. She was up, dressed, and with bed and room cleaned by 7:30!! We have a big 33ft blow up obstucle course (Pumping Up the Party!). We are also doing a Miley to Hanna dress up relay race complete with the Hanna wig. So after today I will be in full CRUISE MODE!!

Bev I'm wearing something very simular for Pirate night (black capris, scarf, white blouse, big gold hoops). Now for DH we went to Good Will and found a pair of dark gray pants. Then DD and I, while he was wearing them, cut them up to knee-ish level all raggy like. I did something simular to a black tshirt for him. He'll have an eye patch, scarf for his head, and and one for his waist. pirate:

Thanks for the tip on calling my credit card company to let them know of our travel plans. I've never done that before! Also making copies of passports etc.

Have a great weekend. In Baltimore it's going to 87!

I talked to Cynthia at the Disney Cruise Line, because like ya'll I had questions on these form too. This is what she told me, for the travel agency you can put "Disney Cruise Line" - city of travel agency use "Celebration" that is where their office is located. Anything that does not pertain to us just leave it blank, and it is ok to abbreviate. Yes check vacation for trip purpose. Any other questions you might have I'll try to help you if I can.

As far as weather down here in Florida, yep I live here:banana: :cool1: , most days will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain. YEAAAAA! :) To those of you asking about beads, my DH, DD and I will be wearing more than one strand of beads each. I think we each have a green, gold, purple and an extra of one of those colors to wear. Our DD picked out which ones we should wear. Sooo, if you look for the gaudy (sp?) "decorated" family that'll probably be us. :) HEEE HEEE Only 7 more days! YES! OK, back to our regular schedule programming! How is everyone's weekend going, everyone football or baseball team win? Mine did, ROLL TIDE ROLL, they tried to lose it late, but they held on for the win.

Tracy...so sorry to hear your news...our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time - our best.

Hey to all...(all says hey)

We got to our time share very late last night...and thought we'd have a slow day....NOT!!! We were at Animal Kingdom for rope drop...then closed MGM. We did not really race through either park...jus putzed and enjoyed some family time doing our favorites of both locations. We did not think the crowds were too bad. Lines were IMHO short. Most of the main rides were 20 to 40 minutes...some others were 10-15...not too bad. We did ride Rockin Rollar Coaster with a 55 minute wait - WELL WORTH IT!! Man...am I luckey or what...my girls are coaster junkies - YEAH!!!

Guess you could say...we are pretty tired and about to turn in...but I needed to check in and offer a weather report. For us...the temp was about the same...the humidity is what was new to us. Today, was in the upper 80's with a good mix of humidity. We did have a short storm - but it cleared fairly quickly after dropping a good amount of rain.

We missed the entire Diamondbacks win and celebration of winning the NLDS series. Looks like I'll be spending some time in the Sports clubs on the ship for Game 3 and beyond. I am sooooo excited on how well they've done this year...Anybody - Anytime!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

That's it for now...light are going out...and we are not too far behind. Until tomorrow evening. K

Why oh why don't my jumpy up & down thingy, jump up & down.:confused3

Hey David...I think...but am not sure...your 'thingy' needs to have the final 'img' capitalized - if that's not it...try a post on the Technical Support board - they have been very helpful with me...and...very patient.

Hey everyone. Now that we're getting closer and closer to the trip (gosh, is it this Saturday?) I have a couple of questions. Both are money related. Does anyone bother with travelers checks? Also, the excursions that we signed up for, do they automatically get added to our account or do we pay for those separately? Thanks for the insight. Kristi

We don't use travellers checks. Just our credit card and some cash.
Yes, the excursions are automatically added to your ship board account so no, you don't pay it seperately, except if/when you tip them. :)

And in case anyone is curious of our "trip report" more or less...you can visit our Family Blog . The plan is to update it on-ship, although I'm not sure what the internet service will be like. Anyway--our Vacation Blog site is

Kristi, a couple of weeks ago I put in a search for Port Canaveral web cam, and I got a million, billion, zillion, gazillion hits.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 So I tried the first one and never looked back. It turned out to be pretty good. It is www.cocoabeachnow.com Down on the bottom of the page you will see it says Port Canaveral Web Cam, click on this and it will take you to the camera. You can control the camera, but sometimes you have to wait your turn. I don't think we had to wait more then 5 minutes for our turn. We figured out that whoever was on there, they too were wanting to see the Magic go out to sea. It was fun. My suggestion would be to go on early and play around with it a bit to get the hang of it. There are instructions at the bottom of the camera viewing area that explains everything to you. Hope this helps.

We're leaving for Orlando in 3 days - woohoo!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Not packed yet. Our bedroom floor looks like a tornado hit it. I laid everything I want to bring there. Put toiletry stuff in ziploc baggies. Must do laundry tomorrow and start packing the clothes in to the suitcase. Hate to do that early otherwise they'll be really wrinkled.
Gotta call the rental car agencies to make sure they will have car seats ready for us. I don't understand why when booking that online, they never guarantee that. Um...we can't drive without one! It's not like hotels where they don't guarantee the bed size. We can live w/out a king bed but we can't drive w/out a car seat. :confused3 :sad2:

Weather.com shows nice weather for this coming weekend ~ crossing fingers it stays that way!:goodvibes

Did anyone see my post re: Bahama form and what to put on the last section of part 1 re: arrival date (is that the day we arrive on Castaway Cay) and do we put Canaveral as City where we boarded the boat??

DS & DH are packed & I'll be packed tonight. Suitcases weigh in so far at 48lbs and 47.5 lbs (American's limit is 50lbs or they charge you extra!). The third suitcase is mine, so I hope I can come in under weight :)

A word from someone that paid the price, bring an extra suitcase for the merchandise you buy. Our first trip, we did the same thing, packed all the suitcases to the limit...guess what I had to do? That's right, GO BUY ANOTHER SUITCASE:confused3 :rotfl2: There is alot of places to shop, the ship has 2 great shops, plus all the places on St. Martin and St. Thomas and did I mention CASTAWAY CAY? Everyone in your family gets 2 suitcases, I know that is alot of luggage to haul around, but you can store all of it under the bed in the state room...

I hope this helps....

I try and not worry about the forms, cause I always gettem wrong!:confused3 :headache: I will fill out everything I know, which according to my lovely wife, IS NOT MUCH!   There is always a cast member standing around to help with any questions, as soon as you get off the escalator (sp?) you will see 2 round tables with all the forms on it, there is always a CM there to help. It is better to wait and get it right before you get in line, it makes everything go faster....it will only take about 5 min. to finish filling them out.

See everyone Sat.

Hey to all (all says hey),

Good morning - sorry for missing a post last night...we had a long day at Epcot and the heat was a little much. In watching the Florida news...it appears the heat and humidity will drop a little. This is great news as yesterday/today was a little uncomfortable.

Epcot was fantastic...we really enjoyed the new Nemo ride (DD 7 was all smiles) and Talking with Crush is really-really cool. If you want to ride these and Soarin'...get there early. We got fast passes for Soarin' and went to the Nemo/Crush...when we got back to Soarin' - fast passes were 2+ hours away and the stand by line was already at 50 minutes.

We had the most fantastic lunch at Canada - great food and the service was exceptional. Nan and I filled out a comment card as our Server was OUTSTANDING!!!

Well....this morning is Magic Kingdom - I'll tell Mickey you all said HI!!!

Here is a quick photo of The Smith Family at Epcot.

I am so jealous of 'the smith family' once I saw that picture. I will just keep telling myself, 3 more day, 3 more days.

We board our 737 at 6:30AM on Friday and we should be at WDW by 10ish - given we don't spend forever on ME.

Looks like the Smith family is having a great time at the World!! OhMyGosh... it's almost cruise time!!!

I've still got some last minute things to do (like get an oil change for my car... why do I always wait till the last minute to do that?!). DH and I are sending the kids off to school on Friday morning and then we are hitting the open road at 8:30am. We're staying at the Country Inn and Suites Friday night - anyone else staying there?

We, too, are staying at Country Inn & Suites, but shouldn't be there until around 7:30 or 8pm. We will be a group of 7 - 4 very attractive (almost celebrity status) looking adults and 3 kids, equally as attractive and well-behaved (considering they have just been traveling for the last 7 hours.) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously, though - it will be fun to meet others the night before already! I am sure we will have to hit the pool once we get there (or the kids will never let us rest!)

All of you staying at the CI&S - hope you cashed in on that Fall Book Break special. Hotel rates were CHEAP and kids even get something free. I didn't get it originally when we booked (it wasn't offered) but we called back and they gave it to us. They were very nice! :woohoo:

UGH. We called our travel agent and changed the date until 12/8. This is the latest time that the cruise is about the same price. It jumps up a ton of money after that for close to a year! What's up with that?!?!? Long story short, changing everything cost us about $750. If something happens and we still can't go in Dec., then we'll change it until next October. Good afternoon Kristi and Heather...I would not stress, I think you 2 are the smart ones:teacher: You only have to handle your luggage once, if I'm not mistaken, after you check your luggage at your home airport you will not have to mess with it until it shows up at your room on the ship.:woohoo: Everyone else that either flew in or is flying in on Fri. has to retrieve their luggage, haul it to there hotel and haul it back to the bus. I don't know about you, but that is a pain. Okay you people, this is vacation. Nothing, I repeat nothing is getting ironed before it goes in my suitcase. Very little will be ironed after we get there and only if it looks like it was slept in. I DON'T iron. That is what perm. press is for.

I am not watching the clock or anything, but it is now 12:49 CST. 3 hours and 11 minutes left. Got a meeting at 2:00 that I am preparing for, then it should be down hill from then.

I don't get to watch the clock until tomorrow, I have to work from 8 - 12 and then I have a meeting with the fire marshall to inspect our new building that we will be opening when we return from the cruise. I felt like I was on semi-vacation today...

DH stayed home with DS while he napped so I could get a pedicure--they have computers at each chair so I was reading this message board while I had my foot massage. Nice!!!

Last few errands to run tomorrow & then we're out early Saturday morning---perhaps the last of the boards to leave :)

Hey no fair, I just got back from getting my manicure and pedicure. No computer for us. :)

Well just put the Magical Express tags on my luggage, check out the boards and then it is off to bed. 3:30AM will come way too early.

So I guess this is bye until Saturday. We are leaving the laptop home this time.

I'm not ironing at all either. LOL I am, however, bringing a little steamer that I can use for the formal and semi-formal stuff. :) So, if anything gets really wrinkled I'll be prepared. :) We've finished the tag gifts although we're not putting them together together until we're on board the beautiful Magic. :) And we've really been working hard tonight getting things organized and making sure we have everything. We also have been hard at work (not really) putting a t-shirt together for each of us for boarding day. :) Oh my gosh. I am officially on vacation tomorrow at 5pm. :) YIPPPEEEEE! We will leave our house probably about 4am (or a little after that) to head to the airport. See ya'll Saturday! Kristi

DS kept asking me to make sure I woke him up in the morning so he won't be left behind! DD won't know what hit her when she sees the characters at the terminal. Can't believe it's happening now!

We'll have some beads on in the terminal and our minimal magnets on the door, but I'll be at the Cove on Sunday to catch up.

Ohhh... darn... did I give the impression that I iron alot, lol?? My iron gets used about 2 times a year. DH had a few shirts that were very wrinkley(sp) so I figured if I ironed them now, maybe... just maybe... they'll only be minimally crinkled on the boat, lol!!

Well, it's midnight and I just finished packing. We'll probably get out of here around 9am tomorrow... no rush because we're driving.

Man oh man that seems like a llllllllllllooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg time from now. We wanted to see the Magic all dressed up for Christmas.
I wanted to say to all how nice it was to meet you and put faces with names at our meet. It was a great cruise. I hope all had as much fun and enjoyed their time on baord as much as we did. Hey kevin, I'm setting here writing this to ya'll and listening to your CD. This was such a great gift. Thank you Kevin. It will get provide plenty of listening pleasure and bring back the time we had on our cruise. I'm having trouble typing, there seems to be something in my eye. I am not crying. Oh wait a minute I had my finger in my eye. No wonder I was having trouble typing.
Well got to go and help DW unpack. I hear her sweet voice calling to me now, HEY STUPID COME HERE!!!:scared1::eek: Oh what a sweet voice that is ..............Coming Sweetie!!!!

Hey, Everyone!

We had a most excellent time on-board the Magic this past week. We arrived home around 3:40pm after a short 2 hour and 20 minute flight from Orlando!

It was great meeting most of you. The group photo that was taken on my camera came out great. We also re-booked while on-board to get the discount and credit. I booked for 10/27/08 but will most likely push it off to 2009 so that we can re-visit Bermuda in 2008.

Dis tag was alot of fun. Everyone was very creative and we really had a ball participating... even though I got "caught" tagging once or twice. :upsidedow Thanks to all of you that helped to organize it! :worship:

We went jet skiing at Orient Beach, basked in the sun at Magens Bay and were on the Banana boat in the middle of our mini hurricane on CC! :lmao:

Hope everyone else had a blast and arrived home safely. Can't wait to hear from everyone.

WOW!!! What an excellent cruise. How spoiled we are to have had great seas, wonderful weather and the chance to meet fantastic people. What a treat to finally put a face to a screen name. I enjoyed meeting and speaking with each and everyone of you. We had a such a great time and all the way home...my DD's were asking for a 'do over'...guess we need to plan on a return trip (shhhhh - don't tell them...this suits me just fine).

Just a reminder...I'll be setting up an account with Shutterfly Dot Com for us to share photos. I should get this completed by Monday. If you want an invite - just PM me with your e-mail address...I'll send you the link and pass word.

I am soooooo glad to hear of the success with DIS-Tag. I, too had a blast. Bev...your M&M's get my vote for most creative. Me...I just would have wolfed em down...but my DW pointed out the wording on the red ones - pretty cool.

Well...it's late...I'll be up early tomorrow = but sleeping in on Monday - I took an additional day off...not ready to finish my vacation - yet!!

Hope all check in sharing safe travel home..........k

What a great cruise. I only met a few you, but everyone was so nice. I really enjoyed chatting with lots of different people. I re-booked on board, not really being sure when we would be able to go. But as of this morning, DS is bucking for Spring Break 2008 (that would be the 3/15/08 Eastern for us.) We'll have to see.... We had a free upgrade from a cat 9 to a cat 6 this time. I rebooked a cat 9, but boy, after having the verandah, it's going to be tough going back.

Hope everyone made it home safe and sound and had easy journeys.

To parents of "the seniors" from The Stack - DS (Ryan) lost all the pics on his camera on Thursday night. If any of your teens have pics, it would be wonderful if they'd post them to Shutterfly or such. There are a lot on Facebook already, but I'm not aware of a way to copy or print from there without loosing too much resolution.

Hey all! We made it home last night. Sorry I didn't get to the computer to type you all til now. It's been busy since we got home with laundry gifts and Richard had to work today. I on the other hand am still recovering from the sunburn that I got at Castaway Cay. I really did a doozie on myself and the pain in my legs is amazing. Definitely not able to run around like I'd want to. Anyway, enough whining. We had a BLAST on the Magic! What a wonderful trip. We did alot of crying on this trip but in a good way. We felt we got alot of relaxing taken care of and yet we did TONS of stuff. It was the perfect time for this vacation for us. We're clear headed now and ready to take on whatever comes our way.

We really enjoyed meeting everyone as well. We loved doing DIS-tag and Lilli enjoyed slapping the magnets on the doors and, with a little lift from us, putting the gift bags on the fish. Thanks again Kevin and team for setting all this up. As soon as I have pictures (Richard is burning them tonight at his office) I'll be ready to post them. So Kevin, when you get a moment and you've set up the shutterfly thing please pm me. :)

We have also rebooked. We're going to do the Western this time in early October next year. Now, we are most likely going to have to move it to early in 2009 but we're kinda sitting on all that for now until adoption stuff starts happening again. We're already working on our family to join us so hopefully it'll be a big bash for us this next time. :) One way or the other, we booked for 4 instead of 3. That was fun. :)

So to all of you, may your memories of this trip last you a lifetime. I know our memories will. Talk to you all later! Kristi

What an amazing trip!!! Words cannot describe the fun and relaxation and pampering we received. Unbelievable!!

I am bummed that I did not get to meet more of you, too. Sounds like we had two different meetings on Sunday at the Cove. Bummer!! We did not rebook on board (I knew going into the trip that my DH wasn't gonna go for that, since we have so much around the house we want to do.) However, my doubting Thomas husband had so much fun he said we could definitely go back in 2 years if we get done everythig we want to!

When the photo thing is set up, Kevin, let me know! My husband has an excellent camera as photography is his hobby, and he took some awesome photos of the shows and other activities/parties on board, and we would love to share!!!

PS: Bev, thanks for the m&m's!! We devoured them during The Game Plan!! You are too thoughtful!! I kept seeing your husband and oldest daughter on board - but never you!! Were you just having too much fun and ditched the family? I was waiting to talk Girl Scouts with you! :cool1:

Happy Sunday evening to all. Hope all made it home safe - or are enjoying some time at the parks before returning.

Our photo sharing site is about complete - YEAH!!! I need a 'test pilot'...anyone...someone out there want to check the shutterfily site out? I'll prob have the first and second persons who PM me 'after this post'...interested and having some time to quickly check out and upload some photos on our group album. I am hopeful for some feedback prior to sending this out to everybody - just to make sure all works out well. I've already created 2 albums (Cruise A Palooza and an album with some of my photos I hope you'll enjoy) and uploaded ~20 photos. If you don't want to be a 'test pilot' but want to pm early...you are welcome to do so - I've already got an e-mail address from CrazyZeus1. I'll keep a running list and do a group invite after we've had someone check everything out.

I see Steve (SNicksed) went to Orient Beach - hopefully he and others who went to this fantastic location will share some photos. I need to share something and hope no one will laugh. I, um...er...well - deleted a full day's images from my lovely DW's new camera. OK...I asked you not to laugh...I mean it...stop it - right now. If you don't stop laughing...I'll tell my DW --- WHO is laughing...then...you'll be in trouble..........instead of me.

Take care, K

Hey my cruise friends,

we are also back at home and spent the day doing laundry and reading the mega pile of mail that was left for us on Saturday. We had an awesome time on the cruise and loved meeting most of you, dis-tag was great, we have some very creative people here. We have downloaded all of our photos and are ready to share some on shutterfly.
My family and I spent some time with Jen and Greg onboard with their two girls and son. Brittney and Owen are missing them already.
We rebooked on board as well for Dec. 2008 but more than likely will switch to fall of 2009 when the dates are released.

I was wondering if anyone had the "scoop" on the little dog that was on board with a family. It looked like a Yorkie. It had a service dog 'coat' on, but it sure seemed like the folks at the Port had some MAJOR issues with allowing the dog on board. I suppose legally they had to...but there are some "issues" with a dog who can't set paw on land for 7 days.....

I wake up and swear the room is rocking, and then realize it was a dream.
The first time I thought I was still on the ship when I woke.
Thanks to all for the compliments on the red M & M's we had a blast figuring out what to put on them. My family has a bowl in the living room and are still munching on all the good candies everyone sent.

We also have a seashell night light in our bathroom which fits perfectly with the decor.

It was wonderful to meet everyone and DIS tag was great. I am not sure who gave us the bag with chop sticks and sesame candy but my family loved it! I have the CD from Kevin on my mix stick and my DD ripped it to her PC.

We should have re-booked while on board but with our oldest headed for college next fall I am afraid we will not cruise until 4 years from now when she gets her bachelors degree.

The whole family fell in love with DCL.

I suppose legally they had to...but there are some "issues" with a dog who can't set paw on land for 7 days.....

I saw that. That family sat next to us on embarkation day...I was just mentioning it to my mother.. I found it odd to say the least.

My family has also been curious about the "service dog". My DH witnessed some not so kind words exchanged between the man and woman. I tried to figure out what "service" the dog provided.

Momasita-we shared a banana boat ride with a family from Canada- husband and wife DD8 and DS9. Was that your family?

Wendy - we thought of your family Saturday night also. We wondered if Garrett was enjoying a Mickey bar?

I'm afraid I missed out on a few goodies The first morning I found three magnets but only one goodie. I enjoyed playing the game and had fun picking out what to share. We are still munching on all the candy!

Hi Everyone - Welcome Home!!

Had to jump in here because I know the answer to this one :-). My cousin met the man and he said it was his wife's service dog. Apparently she has anxiety issues and hearing issues and that's what the dog was for, although everytime we saw the dog is was with the man. Interesting to say the least.

The cruise was wonderful. DD had a few meltdowns (guess it's the pre-teen thing) but other than that things were smooth. There was a table of two couples sitting near us that seemed to get most of the servers attention. We counted 5 times one night that the woman sent her meal back. We didn't let it bother us until the last day when all of the adults at our table had been served and finished breakfast but our 3 year old hadn't even gotten his cereal - the HM table had toast brought around to them 4 times. I finally had to ask again and then DS finally got his breakfast but by that time the restaurant had pretty much cleared out and we knew the next set was coming in so he didn't get to eat. That annoyed me because I knew as much as that woman complained during the trip there was NO way she tipped anywhere near what we did. But I guess the Disney Motto is take care of the unhappy ones because the low maintenance will always come back.

Did anyone brave family karaoke? (not admitting to anything first)

Oh and yep still rocking and rolling. Waiting impatiently for the land legs to return.:cool1:

Hey all. I found the little dog odd as well. And we are still rocking on occasion. Actually, I found it a litle difficult the first night sleeping because I was waiting for the rocking to start. LOL I'm missing the Mickey Bars.

As far as the tag gifts were concerned, my family was the one with all the Asian items in it. We had decided to do an Asian themed bag since our daughter is Asian. I realized once we got our first tag gift that I probably should have put a note in to explain some of the items. Hopefully you all enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed putting them together. :)

Hopefully everyone is getting back into the swing of things. We are trying to. Richard put all our pictures to a slide show with Disney music in the background. We sat and watched it last night. It just brought back memories and I'll probably watch it tons more times before I put it to rest. I'm going to start scrapbooking our trip on Monday night. I wrote a journal while we were onboard that shared everything we did. It took 7 typed pages. It should help with the scrapbook (I hope). :)

Well, everyone have a great day today! Talk to you soon. Kristi

Hello all,
We had a wonderful time on our first Disney Cruise and we are REALLY looking forward to the next one. We are thinking possibly a double dipper in 09' when the dates come out.
I really didn't get to meet many of you as we were traveling with a group of 16 and our time was a bit limited. I did get to meet Tiger Lily and we chatted about the Disney Marathon coming up in January.....anyone else doing it???

We sat behind the dog people at the "remember the magic" show on Friday. It was the later show and it seemed like it was packed. At one point I noticed the women (dog couple) asked the man to fill her water glass for her and then she gave the dog a quick drink out of it followed by downing it herself......my DW is a flight attendant and told me that you can bring a dog on a flight for "support" and you don't need any documentation to prove it.....I was just thinking about where that little guy was doing his buisiness on those long sea days...?:confused3

Hey all...we made it home late Sunday, safe, but not well:sick:  Both Tina and Josh have bad colds, our Asst. server had to have a shot on board to help him get over his cold. It seems he had to share it with both of them. I'm thankful they did not get sick until AFTER we disembarked...We were able to make it to MGM on Sat., but Tina was in bed at 7:00, so no Magic Kingdom that night:mad: The drive home on Sun. was rough, with all the coughing & sneezing and ARE WE THERE YET? OK, OK, enough with whineing!

We also booked on board, we are going Christmas 2008, Now that is a long time away! But it will be worth the wait! Just to see Santa Mickey on Chistmas morning:love: :santa:

I have to share a few pics from our wedding...

Hi all-- we finally made it back late Sunday-- had terrible flight with Trans Air- which reminds me still need to go fill out the comment on the web site. Bad expereince all around with them -- from check-in, to seating (we had 5 seats together, then at the last minute they announce they were doing open seating:eek: -- and we were Zone 6, which meant close to the last to board, and there were not 5 seats together) and much more-- got home 2 1/2 hours later then originally scheduled. Not a happy camper!

Anyway, we met Dawn and her family on the cruise and hung out quite a bit. My kids loved hanging out with her DD and DS and when I get pics uploaded I have a cute pic of the 5 of them together -- my computer was so slow yesterday so I didnt get them all finished yet. And as for my GREAT NEWS that APOOHFN mentioned....

WE WON THE JACKPOT BINGO:cool!!1: :woohoo: :woohoo: :scared1:   :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2:

Greg and I each had a card and I also had a bonus card so I was busy concentrating on my 2 cards and had no idea how Greg was doing. I had 2 squares that only needed 2 more numbers when all of a sudden Greg jumped up and yelled BINGO! I was so shocked and as they were confirming the numbers I was so nervous! Plus, there was another guy who had called Bingo too, but it turned out he had one # wrong.:scared1: So we won $5663:woohoo:

We also booked again for Nov 2008 but will change it to Oct 2009 when those dates come out :thumbsup2

Keith : Beautiful pictures. My DD was worried about your DW and her beautiful wedding gown when it poured at CC. What did you do during the rain? Hope you feel better!

Jen - all I can say is WOW and congratulations!! Many wonderful surprises all the around for your family. Way cool. :yay:
DD enjoyed playing cards with your kids at the terminal. It was nice also running into them here and there.

Strange question: anyone else have itching red bumps?. I have them on my neck and arms. DH has them on his arms. Nothing on DD. Could it be sea lice?

Congrats again to Jen n Greg for the Bingo and not a Bongo:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Cathy ~ Rich & Garrett did have Mickey bars at WDW and Epcot but it wasn't the same cuz they weren't FREE! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I had those little red bumps around my neck, below my ears and chest but thought they were allergies. They are gone now. Did yours & Rob's appear AFTER you disembarked?

Hi Everyone!!!

WOW!! Congratulations Jen!! That's so wonderful - what a great ending to a great trip. And Keith... beautiful pictures!! I hope you guys took cover during the rain - I was thinking of you when it started to downpour.

Well, I got all my pictures on my home computer (I'm at work now) so when we get the shutterfly site up let me know and I'll add ones I think the group will like. Has anyone got the group picture from the meet? I'd love to see that one!

Today is the first day I haven't felt like I was moving, lol. Jay and I were standing in the kitchen talking yesterday, when I suddenly realized that we were both swaying, lol!

We rebooked on board for next November. The kids are on break then, and we REALLY want to take them now that we've "tested it out" without them, lol. We bought more DVC points while on board at AKL, so we're thinking of going to WDW for Halloween, and then the Western cruise that leaves November 1st. I've already got the countdown going, lol!

ETA: Don't forget to add a room report here on the DIS! Here's the link: Room Report (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm)

Yes, the red bumps appeared after the disembarkment. I've gone through the list of products I've used- no new soap, detergent, etc. They are not in places where a bathing suit would be. I'm worse then DH. OK so it's some weird Welcome Back Home Rash!

So Jen - it was you who stole my jackpot ;) ;) We were just one number away when you won. Then they announce the next number that "would have been called" it was my number. Oh well - Thats life. I am just glad it was one of the Dis'ers that won. :)

I actually asked a CM about the dog. I was told that it was a mental health issue -- that the person could not function normally unless the dog was present. Apparently they had a medical note to document it.

Did anyone brave family karaoke? (not admitting to anything first)

We were there, 3 times! I didn't personally sing, but my DD & DN did. :goodvibes

My DN had bumps that itched too. She got them in the middle of the cruise. I was thinking bed bugs too. :scared1:

Well, can't type very well, sprained my wrist Sunday. Hurts! And, DS 6 is home from school today. We think it's the flu.

Glad everyone had such a wonderful time and are home safe!

Hey. I had the bumps too. The were only on my hands though and they came about 3 days into the trip. I thought it was an allergic reaction to something. They're gone now. Ugh, bed bugs? Not fun. :( Anyway, I have some great pictures that I'll be able to download tomorrow (they're at home and I'm at work). I have a great one of the DIS meeting. :) If I can figure out how to download a picture to this site I will. If not, I'll just post it on the Yahoo Group and then on Shutterfly once it's up and running. Hopefully most of you will be able to check it out.

To all of you who have been swaying since you got off the ship, I've been doing the same. I'm almost over it (I think). I only swayed twice today. LOL

Wendy - once I get the whole downloading thing under control I'll post the pic of my Mulan with the "real" Mulan. It is absolutely precious. I have to say (bragging here) that it was really hard to "pick" pictures out to buy onboard because all of them were great of Lil! :) Alright, done bragging. :)

Have a great day all! Kristi

Thanks everyone, those were 3 of over 230 taken...yes we ended up buying the CD.:scared: The manager of the photo Dept. said we had the best photographer they had on the ship, ZSABI from Hungary. He let us have fun and was very patient with Josh. We were taking pics on the beach when we noticed the big cloud, so they rushed us back to the ship, via the golf cart. We made it on board before the rain hit:woohoo: :woohoo:They took us to Palo's for the reception, we were there for approx. 30 min. eating cake, drinking Champange and taking more pics. As soon as the rain passed, we went around the ship taking more pics. We were able to make it back to the beach around 1:00. All and All, it was a great day!

If anyone is interested in seeing the rest of the pics, just PM with your email address. I down loaded all the pics to photobucket.

If you went into the water at CC very likely. I took DS to the doctor today because he was covered in red bumps on his legs. She showed me a pic in the dermotology book and sure enough, exactly what he had. She said to use hydrycortesone cream for him.

Hello All -

We are so sorry we missed the cruise meet. I actually had a very hectic start to our trip. I received a phone call on Wednesday evening that my father had suffered a stroke. Fortunatley, he lives in Miami. We flew into Orlando on Friday, drove straight to Miami to check up on him. He insisted we go on the trip ( even though I did not feel comfortable doing so ) and we drove back to Port Canaveral on Saturday morning. Needless to say, my girls were exhausted and wondering when the fun was going to start. I have to say, they were true troopers for 3 and 5 year olds. My husband and I kept saying we are on Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Boats...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, - good news is , my dad is now out of the hospital recovering and we were able to enjoy what turned out to be one fabulous vacation. I was planning to meet up on Sunday but had completely lost my voice due to all the stress. So sorry we missed it.

I was at the BINGO - wow Jen - how awesome was that to win the big pot!! And Keith, we saw you at Castaway Cay- That is what I always wanted to do - get married on the beach. I'm envious  SO very cool.

Well - I have lots of pictures already posted on a Walgreens sight. Let me know if anyone wants the link. I'd be happy to share.

We did not rebook on board as I am a travel agent and get pretty good deals if I wait until last minute. One thing is for sure - we will definitely be sailing Disney again. What an amazing trip!!!

Take Care,
Jodi

Hi! On our vacation blog, I have posted our cruise movie I created. I'm not too crafty-talented, so scrapbooking is out for me. The videos are my version of a scrapbook I guess. Anyway--if you're interested...here's the link:

http://ourfamilytruckster.blogspot.com/

Hope everyone is having a not-itchy day! We escaped the sea lice I guess. DS and I were the only ones to go in the water anywhere...sorry to hear some of you were/are itchy! Glad it's not bed bugs though. DH used to travel every single week out of state for work & would stay at the same hotel room (just kept it reserved the entire year), and for weeks & weeks we couldn't figure out what "rash" he was suffering from. Docs did so many tests & work-ups on him. Not until THREE weeks into various treatments did DH feel crawling on him in the middle of the night--pulled up the covers--and he could SEE them on his body & in the bed. :scared1: :scared1: And this was a very spendy hotel chain...you could imagine his horror... And on top of that he had an allergic reaction to the bites, so his symptoms were worse than typical bites.

So.....I'm super-glad they're not bed bugs!!!

Sorry for the gross story. Enjoy our movie and have good thoughts :cloud9:

Heather- great video! You are creative and crafty. Sorry we did not meet.
I'm still itching. What did you have to do for the BB? I can't bring myself to type it. I actually have a call into my doctor. I remember there was one post about a son who got red bumps all over his back. The Mom complained to Disney- I think they blew her off. The post got a great deal of attention then I think it just went cold or away. I'm hoping it's not BB. I'm taking my trip report now I'm debating to include these developments. We were asked to change rooms during the cruise for "for immediate maintenance work". They told us they had to get up in our ceiling for the stateroom above us! I'm wondering about this now. Cathy

Alright- just back from Patient's First (a doc in a box) my MD's office could not see me till much later in the day. The diagnosis is contact dermatitis. Everyone take care! Kristi PS: Been spending alot of time doing more paperwork for the adoption. The latest news is the agency has 6 babies (4 girls and 2 boys) that have medical clearances and should in the next couple of weeks have their police clearances. One the police clearances come through they will be released and referred to families. As long as everything goes well, one of those four girls is ours. So keep it in your prayers please that it's not much longer. :) Me

One thing I found out about Shutterfly…you can have photo images sent to your local Target store. Target will print them out and you can just go and pick them up. No more waiting for Shutterfly to process and mail them to you. Also, I’ve used them to make calendars for the Grandparents…ours came out great. Shhh…don’t tell…cuz it’s part of their holiday gift this year.

My DW and DD’s are still talking about our vacation and requesting a ‘do-over’. It looks like we’ll put off touring Europe till 2011…because initial family discussions are leaning toward an October 10, 2009 sailing. I am hopeful for a double-dip…but will be happy with either Caribbean sailing.

I can’t believe a week ago we were enjoying the beauty of Castaway Cay – enjoy this photo…no guessing needed…just mindless wandering of which lounge chair was (is) yours. ENJOY!!

Ok, just two comments after spending way too much time looking at the Shutterfly site....

1. I am totally furious with myself for not meeting everyone at the DIS meet!! I so wanted to meet everyone. Now we will need to plan on going on the same cruise again so I can have a do-over!! :thumbsup2

2. And most importantly.... Just when the nightmares ceased, CrazyZeus posts a photo of that scary, freaky-looking Pinnochio!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

That character FREAKED ME OUT!! I was looking at all those photos in Shutters and they gave me gave me the willies!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I plan on spending even more time this weekend looking at photos and still catching up on laundry. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi all, I have seen some of the pictures from the cruise...it looked awesome! We are so glad we postponed our cruise as my father in law did pass away 10/22. We would have missed the last week of his life, so it was a good decision. Thanks again for all of your kindness and nice words.

We will take our much needed vacation on 12/8 and will be sure to share pics with you all.

Talk to you soon!

Oh, Tracy, so sorry to hear about your FIL, but you obviously made the right choice. By December, your DH and family will probably relish a relaxing week to come together as a family and have some quiet time and some fun times to "move on..." We missed meeting with you, but I am sure you will have some good DIS boarders on your trip, too. :grouphug:

Hi all -

I have just added several of our photos from our trip to the shutterfly site. I'm so sorry I didn't meet up with everyone at the meet. Kristi - I think you sat near us at dinner. I definitely recall seeing you in Animators Palate as my friend who's name is Lily , kept commenting on your Lily and how adorable she is. I recognize you and yours from dinner that evening.

Anyways, we had a fabulous time and are certainly jealous for all of you that rebooked on board. I will have to wait until I pay off this trip and then look for another travel agent deal.

Thanks to all who have shared their photos - What a trip it was!!!

Take Care,
Jodi

Been way too busy since we got back from our cruise. Seems work DID miss me after all. Been working OT and now the boss is going on vacation for 2 weeks. And, guess who has to fill his shoes as well as mine!!!! Oh well at least DW, DGD and myself had a great time on our cruise.
Sorry to hear some of you were attacked by sea lice on CC. We were lucky and escaped unharmed. I'm also glad to hear so many of us rebooked. Now that I have my first cruise under my belt, I'm ready to go again. So everyone how about we meet again next week, same time, same place!!!:cool1: AHHHHHHH if only we could. I know my granddaughter is ready to go. She has the travel bug in her.
Well got to go break is over. Got to get my nose on that grindstone!!!! Man that hurts!!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Where is everybody??:sad1:

Did everyone who rebooked decide to join their new cruise meet thread?? I haven't been able to break the habit yet and I keep checking this thread, but no one is here...

Finally posted some of my DH's show photos on our site. More to come, if he devotes some time after the Packer game today to convert the photos...

Hope everyone is doing well. Aren't you glad we weren't on last week's Eastern cruise?? :scared1:

My family had such a good time they now want to do a Western Carribean cruise!

Heres a good shot of the quiets end of the beach and one of the Flying Dutchman. Part of the ship, part of the crew!

Howdy All!

Well, sorry we missed catching up with everyone. We ended up at the show at 2:00 on the day we were to meet. I met one other member at the Oceaneers Lab so it wasn't a total wash. We just finished emptying out the suitcases today. As for another cruise, well we didn't realize how much we would miss it till AFTER we got off the ship. Oh well, we did book a three night next year for the Halloween cruise and decided to have our same cabin number on the Wonder this time. I posted some pictures from our trip on the Shutterfly site.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our first of many cruises. I've labored over the past week to get our cruise DVD done and we're already watching it daily. I'll try to get a web version on our family site if anyone is interested.

Stay in touch!

Our family is still here as well. It's been busy since we got back. We're working feverishly to pay off this cruise so we can start to work on paying off the next one. :) We miss everyone dearly. Life just isn't the same. No updates on the adoption front either. We had to redo most of our paperwork once we got back from the trip so that was a bummer. As soon as we have any news you can be certain that I will post here, on our yahoo group and I'll probably put the picture on the shutterfly website (just to make certain that EVERYONE sees the new addition). :) Take care everyone! Have a blessed week! Kristi

Hello Fellow Cruisers!

Well I finally joined the world of blogging. At least I think I did - ha!:lmao: Anyway, I posted a trip video I made (its a little blurry) and some pictures from the trip. Feel free to check it out: http://disneyfamilytx.blogspot.com/

We're already booked for next year and believe it or not (I'm sure you will) I found another message board already for that trip. Not to fear, this will always be my first and most dear.

Happy Holidays to All,

What a wonderful blog! Brought back great memories - thanks for posting, Disney :)

Can't believe its been a MONTH since we embarked.

Guess what I got in the mail today??? The letter I sent to ourselves from Castaway Cay (using the stateroom stationery) :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing well. I miss this thread and this board (and my fellow Cruisapaloozans, of course).

Wishing you all a safe & wonderful holiday!!!

Quick question for the group - has anyone fellow first time cruisers received their Castaway Club packet yet? They said on the bus two weeks after our cruise but we've still yet to get anything. :confused3

We too just got our postcard - only one of two we mailed. Not sure if its our mail person or just delays elsewhere.

Cheers!

We have not received anything yet either, but in other posts, it seems to take FOREVER (if you get it at all!!) I am talking 8-9 months!!!:hourglass

It seems like things are getting busier and busier here - haven't checked the DISboards in a week. Where has all the magic gone?? I want my cruise back!! DH just paid off the credit card on Friday and said we have paid off any remnants of the trip (paid off the surprise diamond necklace he bought me in St. Thomas!) :thumbsup2 I told him that means we need to get planning another cruise now or what will happen to our extra money?? (We can't possibly save it!!):lmao:

Well, in case this week is crazy, too, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you get to spend some time with your family and friends, showing off your trip photos, and then happy shopping on Friday! :cool1:

I send a Happy Thanksgiving out to everyone as well! :) Boy do I miss the cruise.

Things are still crazy with the adoption. One minute it's near the end and the next we're thrown back at least 3 steps. Needless to say I'm frustrated.
However, if I only had Lilli my life would be complete. She is such a special little girl in our lives. :)

As far as the Castaway Club packet is concerned, I actually sent an e-mail to Disney Cruise Lines asking about the packet and when it would come and that I wanted to get online with my club member number so I could check it out. The lady e-mailed me with all 3 of our member numbers and told me that the packet itself wouldn't get to us until 3-4 months after the trip. I do believe I sent the e-mail to DCL at the very beginning of this month. Hope this helps. :)

Take care all and may Blessings fall upon you during this holiday season! :) Kristi

Hello to my fellow Cruisapaloozans - Merry Christmas and Happ New Year!!

We've not decided on our next DCL cruise - either in Oct 2009 or 10...not sure yet. I do have some exciting news...at work, I won a Carnival cruise out of Miami going to Key West and Cozumel. Nan and I get to sail the end of February - sans kids (can I get a Yee Haw!!!).

Hope this finds all well...dreaming of sugar plums - sea air - tropical islands...etc.

God bless, K

Hanen't visited here in awhile. Ben besy!!!! :confused3 I hope all had a happy and safe Christmas.:santa: And, I hope ya'll have a happy and safe New Year. :wizard:

We too got our Castaway Cay Club packet. :cool1: Got our cards with our Castaway Cay numbers and other goodies. DW, DGD and myself booked our next cruise while onboard in October. But we had to push it back until 2009. We are planning on taking the St. Croix, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay Eastern Cruise.

Santa was very good to me this year. Got one of those digital picture frames. I put our cruise photos on it. Really looks good. I visited our Sutterfly site and saw all of your great photos. One thing I figured out, I didn't take near enough photos.:sad2: How could I be so stupid......... ask DW she could tell you how stupid I can be.:rotfl2: :lmao:

Well been great talking to ya'll again. Talk to you soon.
