Last week was very bad. He was in ICU most of the week with internal bleeding and had lost 4 pints of blood. It wasn't looking good.
But the bleeding finally stopped and he is doing much better. :D We all thought that was it.... (DH's brother is a Des Moines doctor. And we could tell he even thought that was it.)
We saw his dad at the hospital yesterday. He is very frail, no surprise. But ate a hearty meal of ground up food! :) ;) Very encouraging now.:bounce: What a relief!
I'm afraid his mom would have to go into assisted living w/o his dad around. And they have been married for over 50 years. In addition, my MIL's only brother is on his deathbed. :( It would have been very hard on her. DH also had a sister who died from breast cancer just over 3 years ago.
So we were certainly concerned over his father. But his mother too.
But everything (cross fingers) appears to be better with his dad! :bounce:
