Just back and I'm planning the next one. I got Swan for $175 at the Teacher's Rate from 3/2 - 3/11. I'd be very interested in knowing what the other resorts went for during our stay so as to get a handle on next year's choice. I have AAA and will buy an AP if the savings warrant it. Thanks for any info offered.

Just curious Bill. What did you think of the Swan? Maybe I can answer my own question if you want to go back to a Disney Resort...LOL. Seriously, DW and I go down for the Food & Wine (Beer) fest every fall and I wanted to try the Swan or Dolphin but she kind of insists on the WL every time. I like the WL plenty but thought that an Epcot resort would be a nice change. Sorry I can't help with your pricing question as we are traditionally Fall/Winter visitors.

Cheers,

Schuey

For stays between February 16 - April 8th: Discounts are $35 off Value resorts, $66 off Moderate resorts and $133 off Deluxe resorts and this is considered "peak" season. Standard views at Values are $80/night, Moderates are $110/night, WL and AKL $166.

AAA rates are 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts during peak season.

Here's where I found rack room rates at: http://www.mousesavers.com/roomrates2006.html

We're paying $258 including tax for courtyard view at WL - that's the AP rate.

Thanks for the info, everyone. My concern is that our rate at S/D is offered less and less often and has gone from $139 to $175. Obviously I'll pay the $175 if offered again, but I need a Plan B.

schumacher,

We love Swan and Dolphin having stayed at Swan 3 times, Dolphin once with one split between the two. The digs are great and the location even better. You can walk to MGM or Epcot and can crawl home from Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. As for them not being 'Disney enough', we used to think that until we looked out our window. Depending on the room, you see Tower of Terror, Spaceship Earth or some other WDW icon. You're right in the heart of it all.
