I just read a review about the Soarin' ride in Epcot. ( I think it's in Epcot) Is there too much motion for a pregnant woman. It sounds like a great ride and I want to ride, but need to know more about the motion aspect.
Thanks

I rode last April when I was 6.5 months pregnant. It was great! I didn't have any problems due to the motion. Soarin' is very gentle, nothing jerky or too fast. I think you will enjoy it. Have a great trip!!

I agree, Soarin is one of the smoothest rides around. I rode it when pregnant two different times and was fine. Have fun, and congratulations!

Soarin' was the only "exciting" ride I was able to go on when we went last Dec. I was four months pregnant. It's such a smooth, fun ride.

Soarin was fine and gentle. I would NOT recommend Kilimanjaro Safari. That made me cramp and naseous. Other than that a spray bottle and fan really helps in the heat. Congrats on the baby!

Soarin barely moves once the seats move up nto place. The blow fans at you to make you feel like you are flying while your feet dangle so you aren't really moving. One of my favorite rides. Congratulations on the baby!!

I love love love sorin'! I did it in Disney Land but I'm assuming it's the same in WDW. It's amazing and a must see. As long as you aren't afraid of heights it's fine. The ending, I won't give away, is worth however long you wait!

There's no real motion, but it is a large-screen movie trying to make it look like you're flying. Fine for me, but my mother can NOT watch those without feeling nauseous. Unless that's an issue for you, you'll be fine. :)

Thanks so much for asking this question. I'll be there next month and was going to ask my OB. I'll be 18/19 weeks. That is the one ride that I was so looking forward to riding.

By the way, I am also having a September baby. I'm due on Sept. 11 though. Congratulations. :cheer2:

Soarin' is great i rode it pregnant(almost 7 months) last August, no problems at all. Also if you want to ride the safari ask to sit in the frist row behind the driver..not as bad as the other rows as far as getting bounced around...Congrats on the baby!!

Also, thanks for asking this question. I will be 3 months pregnant when we visit WDW in May and this is one ride I really want to ride so everyone's responses have been helpful - and I am happy that it is quite tame! What about the Safari though? The one response saying that it caused cramping and was uncomfortable is worrisome - I have read and heard from most pregnant visitors that it is was no problem. Any further opinions? Thanks! :cheer2:

I rode the safari when I was 7 mo. preg. with DD#2. I was told to sit toward the front of the ride, they put me on the front row. I had no problems whatsoever. I've heard not to sit toward the back because there is more bouncing.

Soarin' is a very gentle, comfortable ride and you should have no problems! Enjoy it! You will undoubtedly be like we were last year and have to ride it several times during your visit! It is truly amazing! :cloud9:
