And why? :) :) :)
((please don't put this on the Resorts Board.....I'm just curious about our CB'ers response.))
ok, I love both of them. I will tell you because of location and size the views are better from the Dolphin. The Dolphin has the bigger rooms and more restaurants and the laudry facilites. That being said I love the Swan just a bit more. I like the Queen sized beds, and the smaller more intimate feel of the Swan. I love the two sinks and the feel of the hotel. JMHO

Tia - I have only stayed at the Dolphin, so I can't comment on the Swan. But I've seen both hotels when decorated for Christmas, and the huge tree at the Dolphin is gorgeous!

Tia!
I also have stayed only at the Dolphin. I just love that place. I think that the lobby is really cool _ and it looked awesome for Christmas. The Swan's lobby -- pratically all that I know from this resort -- is not so impressive, imho. All that I know is that both are winners.

If I stay at the Swan/Dolphin, do I have to wear pants?

Let me think about this Barry~~~Dolphins don't wear pants, and Swans don't wear pants~~~so, I guess NOT!
:D ;) :D ;)
Did I post this on THIS board, or did someone move it from the CB? I couldn't find it earlier and couldn't remember which board I posted it on! Silly me.

Swans swim on the lake
Dolphins swim in the ocean
I guess that if Barry comes with no pants  he will be expected to spend his time swimming in Crescent Lake. Take care of the seagulls. :D

We stayed at the Swan and LOVED it. The Dolphin seemed to be more of a party place to us. Which you might want....... going solo and all.

Swan: More intimate and understated.
Dolphin: Glo (hehe!) in the dark furniture and appointments. BOING!! Reminded me of Christopher Lloyd on a very bad decorating day.

I have only stayed in the Swan( May ), so I just asked Dave who stayed in the Dolphin also ( July ) and he said he much prefered the Dolphin. Better lobby and restaurants, closer to pool, and picked up on the bus first.

I can't give an "objective" view on which one is better because I've only stayed at the Swan, but that is because I like the more intimate feel like everyone else has mentioned.
No matter how far you're room is from the elevator it's not a far walk at all.
The CM's at both hotels are just wonderful! So, wherever you decide to stay, I'm sure you'll be happy.
