Rob:
If you are still around... Can we still put our bags out (outside our door) at the Hyatt and they will be taken to the ship.? ( We did not buy the Hyatt through Disney this time)
I thought the first bus left arond 9:30 or so... I think we want to be on that one.

Hi everyone...Hope you had a great trip! I was on the Magic the week before you and was very sad to leave the ship. We visited friends in Port Canaveral the day we got off the ship so we decided to watch you guys sail away. We went to jetty park and waved to all of you as you sailed pass. I took lots of pictures so if anyone would like a shot of your sail away please feel free to send me a private message with your email address and I will send you a couple of the better shots.:goodvibes

Hello fellow Thanksgiving cruisers. How does it feel to be back in 'real life?':sad1:
We arrived back to our house at about 4:00 this afternoon. We all feel as if we're in a fog. Was it a dream? (No, it was 'MAGIC.) We're all so TIRED. I already miss our stateroom bed, as I know our own bed won't rock us to sleep.
Wasn't this the most AWESOME vacation? We've already watched our videos. (Can't seem to get enough.)
We had such a great time meeting old and new DISboard friends, and can't wait to sail again.
It's hard to believe too, that the Christmas:santa: season is already here. I probably won't really 'feel' it until all the bags are unpacked and laundry is done:laundy: (I wish Mickey and friends would come put out our Christmas decorations.):lmao:
I'm going to bed EARLY tonight. Will post again soon!

Hi! I was posting on the trip report page but I came back over here. I hope everyone is getting home safe. What a great time! Enjoyed our table mates (Rob,Priscilla, Rachel and Shanelle) so much. You guys made it so special. Working hard to start all this wash. The kids still think that the cruise staff is just one step behind to grant their every whim. We all have to wake up and come back down to the real world. Talk to everyone tomorrow. Lynn

Hi everyone!
1st leg of the trip home was good...we decided to go up I-95 and we found something called Disney Character Premiere...and just had to stop! All who live in FL are lucky if they have more than 1 of these gems! Steve (aka Goofy) got the shirt he was debating about on Castaway Cay (yes Lindsey, we've been reminding him all day that's it pronounced KEY not "K"!
Anyway, it was wonderful to meet everyone! I hope you all had as much fun as we did. My thanks to all who did those "little" things that made the cruise special and fun for my family.
Count us in for T-day 09!

Coming home is no "magic". :sad1: For my first cruise, this was so unbelievable. I can't believe how fast a week goes by. I took over 500 pictures. Is that insane or what? Plus not to mention all the video I took. That's all I did yesterday was look at my pictures and videos. And the shows were something else; the costumes and props were out of this world. And we loved the Pirate party. And the food. And And And. I don't think there is one thing I would suggest changing. A perfect vacation. Linda I know now why you've been on so many Disney cruises. :wizard: Thanks again for the mini Navigators. I must go and do laundry :laundy: :sad2: And hopefully I can convince Greg to start working on xmas decorations. I'm really bummed we didn't rebook, but we're doing a couple of big trips next year and he wouldn't commit to anything further out. So I'm sure glad I live in Florida because they do offer great discounts on cruises but the problem is it's only certain weeks and definitely not T-giving. But any time on a Disney Cruise is worth going, right? Well, I enjoyed meeting everyone. Have a great holiday. :santa:

I ended up falling asleep before 10 pm last night! (Haven't done that since Rachel was a newborn.)
I woke up this morning and had to make my own coffee.:sad1: Oh, how I long to enjoy some Mickey waffles from Topsider's right about now.
My DB, DSIL and their three children are going to be on the December 8th sailing (eastern) though, and I'm excited for them. It's their first cruise. My DB called last night and wanted to hear all about it, but I don't want to spoil it for them.:) I'm going to jot down all of what not to miss (Palo brunch, Pirate night, sailaway party, etc.)
Does anyone agree with me, though, that the character breakfast was a disappointment? I'm only asking because if the only Palo brunch time slots available are during the character breakfast, then they should do the brunch instead?:confused3 (I think there will be so many more opportunities for their children to enjoy the characters. I'd be singing a different tune though, if the characters still visited the tables.)
By the way, I'm still 'swaying.' How's everyone else doing?

Hi All,
We, too, had a wonderful trip and enjoyed meeting everyone. I am glad everyone made it home safely. My kids are really sad, though. Charlie and Maddie met some wonderful new friends and miss having the run of the ship. I miss the bed, best 7-nights of sleep in a long time (no back aches).
Hopefully we will see you all on the 11/09 cruise.
Take care and keep in touch.

Hi everyone,
Count us in for '09!
We got home late yesterday afternoon after driving through solid rain from Chatanooga to St. Louis...I sure do hope that some of this rain makes it to Atlanta. We drove by one of the lakes just north of Atlanta and the thing was near bone dry :scared1: !
Steve took off for Louisville this morning...I leave for California next week and then he's gone somewhere the week following....unfortunately, it's normal for us!
It was great to meet all of you. Linda, thanks for the mini-navigators....it sure helped us to find all of the Fish Extenders! Chuck, we appreciate your guidance and suggestions...it definitely made the Magic even more magical!
So...who's gonna post pictures? I know I need to go through the several hundred I took and I know that I need to send some of them off to others.
Is there an '09 thread started yet? If so, I think we can definitely get it up above 3500 in no time.
By the way Gina, I hope your family made it home smoothly. We were thinking about you and your dad. I hope you all had a wonderful time (with lots of great memories).
OK...now to sort through the 5 tons of e-mail...yuck! I guess I have to be productive today though!
By the way, we are all still swaying too. I even wrote Andrew an "excuse from PE note" because when we cruised 2 years ago, the day after the cruise he tripped in PE and broke his arm because he didn't have land legs yet. Yep, that one wins the BAD MOM award!

Well, we made it home late last night. It looks like a tornado hit my bedroom. I have two dummy dates booked for 2008 that I am planning on moving to 2009 once they open up and announce the itineraries.
Had a great time. It was a real relaxing cruise for me. Glad to me so many of you. My daughter and her friend had a great time in the teen loft all week.
Now, back to reality!
We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the 2 bedroom DVC condo on Saturday night. It was awesome, saw lots of animals right from our verandah, but I was disappointed there was no chocolate on my pillow!

Hi Everyone - What a fabulous trip we had!!!
I wanted to post earlier but when I returned home I found out that we had several power outages and it blew the hard drive of my main PC. It is in the shop, so I finally booted up the lap top and logged on.
I really enjoyed meeting everyone and you all made me and my family feel very welcome. My kids did not want to leave, and my DD5 was crying when we landed in California Saturday night because she really missed Toney, our Server at dinner every night.
I wish I had a chance to hang with the Dissers more, but we were on the early dinner seating, which meant we were on different times than most of you. In addition, the time change and travel really killed us this time (usually not a problem), plus my whole family was a little under the weather due to sinus issues (we all get allergies this time of year). So some nights we turned in early, and most mornings we slept in a bit, but could never really catch up. Anyway, we were just spinning with all of the things to do, it was just non-stop. We missed so much stuff, including the pirate deck party, we just have to get back one of these days. We loved the service, the shows were all great, and all of the crew members were as nice as can be. We paid about twice as much for this cruise as we would have for Carnival or RCL, but all of the little touches made it well woth the mony we spent!!! We even came in under budget on the spending money and trip costs, so i am happy:banana: (of course I am not counting in the rooms I put a deposit on for a future cruise as well as the new Brito I bought at the Art Auction - but those weren't budgeted items anyway;) )
We could not have ben more pleased with our trip and we felt very lucky with the weather overall, so all in all, this trip ranks at the top of our list for vacations. The only thing that could have made it better was if we could have stayed on board and went for the Eastern trip back to back - that would have ben fantastic!!!:thumbsup2

I am still doing laundry and trying to recover frrom the trip!:laundy: It was so much fun meeting everyone on the Magic and my kids had a blast. It really is one of the most memorable vacations I have ever took. It was also the first time we have done something like this with my BIL's family and that made it special too. I have been so unprepared for the emotional let down of being home.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: As much as we love the parks, (we will go there next but will cruise again) it has never been as personal as taking a cruise has been. I have enjoyed getting to know the Turkey's and am sad that we are not on the 2009 list, and I miss the crew onboard as well. I need to get up the Christmas Tree or this could turn onto a real funk. I hope a thread is kept going somewhere so we can keep up with each other.
