Haunted Mansion X-mas!!!!

We went to see it tonight!!!! WOW!!!!! Oh my gosh! Aboslutely amazing! Now, I like DCA, but if they had put half as much energy into it, as they did this "overlay", they'd be beating people away from the gates!! LOVE IT!!! Seriously, it's like a whole new ride. I'm a fan of the classic but I think they should keep it! Anyway, just my 2 gushing cents:crazy: You have to see this!!!

I've been reading about all the changes, and am totally stoked. I'm hoping that the relatives will leave a little early on Sunday, then we can go see it, too. :D

We went Friday night--could not believe the amount of thought and work that went into it! It's really amazing. Be sure to use Fastpass.

We got there @ 7:15, and found out the park closed at 8pm. That gave us enough time to ride the attraction two times, since the line was minimal. Okay, the kids & I really liked it. They did a great job. I had read some of the spoilers, but the kids didn't even really know it was made over, and so they didn't know what to expect.

Yep, I saw it on Sunday night...very interesting and well done. I have not seen the movie and I think if I had seen that I would have enjoyed it even more. :)

I'm actually interested in seeing this. I *don't* want them to make it a permanant change no matter how good it is, but with the reviews I've read, pictures I've seen, and what little video I've seen (thanks TLK!) it looks like I might actually enjoy it for a regular holiday feature. And I'm not at all a fan of NBC.

Scanmom, it doesn't matter if you've seen the movie or not, the ride is still very good. I think if I had seen the movie I might "get" some of the characters more, but if you don't see it you'll still enjoy the ride. :)

You are right! Haunted Mansion Holiday is the best thing Disneyland has done in a
looongg time! There is so much detail to look at and listen to.
I have ridden it twice and I still have to go back for a third time because I know
I have not seen it all!

Oh my gosh! When I was walking past River Belle Terrace on Sat., I was thinking I should put out an APB for you here. ;) I haven't seen you "on the boards" for a while! :( We're heading to WDW in 17 days:bounce: !! I don't buy pins very often but I'm collecting the limited "Nightmare" pins, so I'll be at DL on 10/20 & 10/31. Our friends have to pick up the one on 10/27 for us. Hope everything is going well! Hi Diva,
You are so lucky going to WDW in a matter of weeks. Keep up your patriotic duty by helping the Disney economy while you are in Florida and the Cruise. Can't wait to hear about it! My cruise is still 12/29/01. I am on pins and needles with all the terrorist stuff, but I'm not going to let the terrorists spoil my fun.

Believe it or not I will be in Disneyland on October 21, 2001 with a friend. Have fun on the 20th! We will have to plan a meet when you get home from your trip!

The mansion is FANTASTIC!!!! We rode this twice and told Guest Services how incredibly cool it was. They say they are thinking of keeping it through January and then going back to the "Classic" mansion. Everything has changed. The outside and interior deco, the stretching pictures, the hall pictures, the voice over, new items are added and some old ones temporarily removed.

It is the best thing the mouse has done since Soarin' over California (the ONLY reason to go to DCA).
