It's almost time to book the tickets for our August honeymoon. What airline(s) do you find the best deals on? I think we flew United in November '04, but I'm always up for suggestions. Right now the major airlines (Delta, Continental, AA) all want around $350pp round trip. Oh, and I prefer a nonstop flight.

I found my great rates by using the low fare finder at travelocity. They have a place where you can put in your departure and destination and it will give you a list of airlines and rates. Typically of us United is the best rates. This trip it is Alaska airline. But, we are in Seattle.

Have you tried this site www.sidestep.com it allows you to search all the airline sites as well as the sites like travelocity to see which one has the cheapest flights. They don't search southwest though as most sites don't so if you are searching for there fares then you would have to look at that site seperately!

Have fun on your honeymoon!

No question about it from Long Island... JET BLUE

Lots of non stops from JFK to several SoCal airports, good prices, great service, and TVs in the back of the seats.

We are taking Jet Blue in August from JFK to LGB (Long Beach).

Have fun! :smokin:

I just purchased my tickets from AA. They had best prices flying into San Diego direct from Chicago.

I also use www.sidestep.com but always double check with the airline website. Sometimes, you find fares are bit cheaper. You may also find more flight times too.

This time, I checked AA and found fares to be $20 cheaper per ticket than what was listed on sidestep. I also got 500 bonus miles for booking through their website.

What's the best way to get to the Grand Californian from Long Beach? Taxi? Or is there a shuttle service? TIA.

According to the Seattle PI (or was it the Seattle Times?) Delta is having or might be having labor problems. So, AA or another airline might be better? From Tri CIties, Washington, Delta was slightly cheaper (about 10 bucks) than AA, but I am still looking at 330-350 per seat. Barf.

I struggle to find good deals from D/FW. AA and Southwest are both based here, but since SW can't fly direct from Love, it's hard to find a good deal. I'm still waiting to buy our plane tickets to see if AA has a sale. We'll be travelling with our daughter who will be 1 when we leave, and I'm not too keen on changing planes.

*edit* I also found that if I book a "regular" fare on AA, the plane ticket for my daughter will be cheaper, which lowers the avg. cost for our tickets as well. Note this does not work for a "fare sale".

We are going to use a limo service. We got a round trip price quote, but I can't remember what it was.
We have seven people, so a limo is cheaper than three cabs.

The closest airport to GC is John Wayne, but Jet Blue doesn't fly there. Just a few minutes further is Long Beach, and JB has lots of non stops there.

We will be at the GC in August.

Thanks everyone for the help! I took MG's advice and booked Jet Blue - $600 rt for the two of us including tax. Not too shabby considering they're non stop flights. Looks like we'll just take a yellow cab from Long Beach to Disneyland - it's only $36 (hopefully not pp!). Thanks again.

Now, just a tid-bit of info...
The seats aft of row 13 have more leg room...

Have fun! :smokin:

Though I have only taken a taxi here in Denver, it should be the $36 for the both of you.

Have fun on your Honeymoon!

Ditto! We took Jet Blue from Boston to Long Beach twice now. This past time I think we paid 212.00 r/t.
