Well..not exactly alone, but I will at the World in June with my two daughters and my dad. We will be camping at the Fort from June 4-15. This is my dad's first trip back since 1986! We'll be celebrating his 70th birthday!

Hi Laura,
I see you're down for the Segway tour in June. Have a great time. I did that one, it was a blast! Make sure you have your camera.

I'll be at WDW solo from Jun 17-24, but will be with the rollercoaster group in general. I won't be at Disney parks every day (we have events at Old Town, Cypress Gardens, and Busch Gardens), but I am on property the whole time and I have a 5-day entry ticket. I have two solo ADRs (one character) and one tour (KTTK) reserved. Can't wait!
I'll have my Alien Green mouse ear tag on, so I hope to see some of you there!

I'm thinking about June 3-7 solo. It would be my 3rd solo trip. I was there in mid February of this year, and already can't wait to go back. I really don't mind going solo, until I get there, and then the loneliness sets in. Going solo is the only way I get to go so often, so it's either solo or nothing.

Hi Sandy5764,
I'll be there about that time, and a couple of others have spoken up too. maybe we can all meet up at some point.
I'd much rather be at WDW solo than not at all, but it's nice to share the experience too.

I would love to be able to meet up with a bunch of "solos" while there. I actually just made me flight arrangements - I'll be there June 3-6. I haven't made my hotel reservations yet because I'm an annual passholder and I can't book at that rate yet.
You are so right - if going solo is the only way to go, then you better believe I'll be there solo. Unfortunately most of my friends are married and/or have kids, so they can't go as often as I can.

I'll be there June 3-5 (it's finally final!) at Pop if anyone would like to meet up for the parks or a meal. Just let me know. Leavin' the DH and kids at home.

When do you leave on the 5th? At least one person arrives that day, so maybe dinner? Make sure you get added to the calendar!

Now I'm thinking maybe if I can work things right, I'll change my flight to leave early Tuesday the 6th so I can stay at the MK until it closes at midnight. So, I may be there all day on the 5th and if not, I'll probably be leaving around 5pm.

So, should we plan to get together on the 5th? That seems to catch the most people, at least on paper. What sounds good, food? drinks? ice cream? standing in line for Everest? :Pinkbounc

A bunch of us from the singles thread are planning to do EMH at AK to ride Everest the night of the 5th and then head for Pleasure Island...the more the merrier!!

Hey Tink,
I actually have a pretty good idea how old you are if I'm decoding your name right, but most of Pleasure Island is 18+... Are yo staying on property? The same group is planning to do the EMH in the evening at AK before heading to PI...

05-08-2006, 10:25 PM
haha ok i just wanted to put that out there so you wouldnt expect something else. (I know I sound crazy). Well I will be 19 this friday so PI wont be a problem I will have to see about Animal kingdom because i bought a 3 day park ticket before i extended my trip, but i might end up buying a on day ticket (non park hopper) so if i do I will get it for AK. But just keep me updated on your plans :goodvibes

WOW! This is the best site! I'm on business in the Orlando area the week of the 19th and will be hitting WDW on the 19th and the 22, solo! WOOT! Guess I better figure out where I'm staying!
This will be my very firstest trip to Florida or any Disney property ever! :cool1:

I can't believe it, but mine is already over!! I got back the evening of June 6th. For all of those heading down - a word of warning. It's really, really, really hot and humid.

Hey, Sandy...
Yes it was on the hot and muggy side, but I've had much worse weather in June. We only really got drenched once (and you missed that one, lucky girl!). Yes, folks --stop at the dollar store and stock up on ponchos before you head down!! *and* remember to carry them with you once you pack them. That's the step we left out.

Hmmm, hot and muggy sounds like it might be perfect for wet and watery rides. :goodvibes
Just got back from a trip to Vegas, where it was 99 until it rained. Then it was soup. :sad2:
Thanks for the reminder to pack that poncho, tho. I've read where rainy days are some of the best touring days, and I'm pretty waterproof. (Most of the time :teeth: )
CoasterAddict
06-09-2006, 03:46 PM
Well, "hot" makes for good water ride weather. If it's *too* muggy you never dry off and that's pretty awful after a few hours. And you're right, when the rain chases people away in droves it makes for much more reasonable lines for the rest of us. I come from Seattle originally. As I said in the 3WW trip report, it's only *water.*

WHHEEEE! I just purchased my entry tix and reserved a night in the Pop Century on Sunday. It might be foolish, but I'm going to try to tour one of the parks on Sunday afternoon after I get in. I'll have about four hours, I think. Then all day Monday, drive 2 hours after the parks close to work, work two days, then another day to play before going home. :thumbsup2
Couldn't get a resort hotel for the last two nights, tho, darn it. :confused3 Guess I'll stay at Downtown Disney. At least I'll have a car already.
So true about not drying off. I'm just used to hot desert heat. You wet yourself down and you're cooler and dry in just a few minutes.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. So do most of the rides have singles lines? I couldn't find anything in the Unofficial Guide except a brief mention of them. Seems like the guide was written for families vacationing. :confused3
CoasterAddict
06-11-2006, 08:53 AM
Well, E:E had a single rider line in January, I can vouch for that. I assume they're still using it. (I was with other DIS friends last week, so I didn't look for it). Test Track and Mission Space have single rider lines. Soarin' and ToT usually look for people to entirely fill each load, so they'll call out for parties of certain size...you just have to pay attention.
Have fun!

ECK! Ain't no way, no how that I'm going on ToT. BIG fear of falling. Sounds like it's pretty doable to hit everything I want to see in Epcot, MK and AK in two and a half days, then. Thanks Coaster and everyone who've been so helpful on this forum answering my newby questions!!!!!! :cool1: :goodvibes
