It's been 2 yrs since we were at US & never made it to IOA. With only one day in each park what are the MUST dos for each park? Kids ages 6 & 9, 1 boy, 1 girl. Looking at going 3rd week in July.
Staying at Holiday Inn; not US property.
At US I wasn't overly impressed w/Jaws and Twister. Is Shrek 2 still there? What about Revenge of the Mummy? As you can see, it's been a while since I've been on this site too! I've been on the scrapbooking and Disney sites more.
Any feedback would be most helpful.
THANKS!!

Haven't been to IOA yet. But at USF, here's my list.
Great rides/shows that shouldn't be missed: Mummy, Shrek, Terminator.
Lame rides that can definitely be skipped: Jaws, Twister, Earthquake, Back to the Future.

Earthquake....yep that's another one that's ho-hum.
First time I rode "Back to the Future" I loved it. 3 yrs later when we went as a family I didn't like it much at all. I actually got a little woozy the 2nd time. I wonder if it's b/c I sat in the front seat the first time and in the back seat the 2nd time? :confused3 It seemed to be really rough.
Has Mummy improved? When we were there 2 yrs ago the ride kept breaking down. After standing in line for 45 mins they shut it down and we didn't get to ride it at all. :furious:
Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming!

When rides are in their first year, especially rides as technical as ROTM, they have a lot of technical difficulties.

Now, however, it has considerably less downtime.

Back to the Future is very rough. I spent the whole time with my arm around my 7 yr old's head so she wouldn't get bumped and bruised.

Mummy is awesome. It's one of the best rides in Orlando. I don't know how often they have problems, but we didn't experience any.

yeah BTTF hasn't aged well, I've heard a LOT of people say they used to like it but now it's not good anymore, too rough.

Based on your kids ages I would say: for US - Revenge of the Mummy, Shrek 4-D, Jimmy Neutron, and ET. If they like animals then Animal Planet Live.

For IOA: Hulk, Flying Unicorn, Dueling Dragons, Spiderman, anything in Toon Lagoon because it will be hott! in July! :sunny:

In US, do not miss MIB.
