What's a good brand of socks to wear in WDW this summer that will keep my feet dry and not too hot?

I am bringing both sandals and sneakers when we go to WDW this summer, but I would like to know which brand name and style of socks will help to keep my feet dry and not too hot?

Any suggestions?

and absorb the sweat from the sneakers and your feet....they really were very comfortable too.....you can either buy them individually or by the bag full....of six

My wife and I wear Thorlo hiking socks. They are very good at keeping your feed dry (thus cool). If you are really serious, pick up some undersocks with them.

we used regular cotton socks, but last summer while we were there, we sprayed our feet with spray deoderant first. had no problems!

They aren't cheap, but are definitely the best socks I've ever worn. Figure around $8-12/pair. But they last! Find'em on sale, or check out REI's Home Page (http://www.rei.com) and look'em up. I bought about 10 pair 3 years ago, and wear'em every day. Here it is, 3 years later, and not a single hole in any of the socks, they have faded a bit, but are still absorbent, the elastic is holding out great, and they still feel awesome. Some socks are cheap, and you end up wearing them once, then tossing (which is a valid approach, throwing $10 at a package of cheap sweatsocks just for WDW, then tossing). But Thorlo's are more of an investment for years of wear.

All play and no work, makes me a happy boy.

If you have a TJMaxx nearby, look for Thorlos there. I found some for 3.99/pair!

Undersocks are most often called Liners, or Liner Socks. They're sometimes made of CoolMax and really wick the moisture away and into your outer sock.

Sock Liners also help prevent blisters because they are thinner and fit your foot better than a sweat sock, so the outer sweat sock is rubbing against the liner instead of your foot and therefore, more resistant to blisters.

Try 100% cotton but before you put on the socks put antiperspirant on your feet. I did this two weeks ago and it works great--no blisters except the day I forgot to put any on.

I like socks with Cool Max and have found various brands in Kmart, Sears and Foot Locker. Kmart carries Cool Max socks for kids too!
