I think you should definitely try the tubing. not only did it look amazing but we ate in an open air restaurant in the jungle which was the most beautiful setting .

My all time favorate port however was Caracus Venezuela. We took a jeep tour up into the deep jungle ( La Hacienda La Flora ) and there we had fresh brewed coffee, jungle juice, yucca, and other fixings. I held a 2 toed sloth and had a a drunk parakett that was apparently sucking on a rum icecube all morning. We then treked down the jungle on foot pass a child chewing on sugarcane, it was humbling to see how these natives lived. He had a squirrel in a cage which was what the guide said "his pet". The bees nest sat high up in these intertwining trees were about the size of car tire or larger, amazing. Just the views alone coming down the mountain were the best I have ever seen in my life.
At the end of the trail we entered into what I still like to call an oasis in the jungle. It is beyond words, flowers everywhere with small streams flowing down from the rocks into a large pool of warm water. I never wanted to leave this place NEVER.
I am having a hard time finding a cruise ship that sails to that port. If I did, it would certainly be our next cruise.

The reason no one goes to Caracas anymore is the political turmoil there. Chavez is the president now, I'm sure you've heard of him in the news teaming up with Iraq to be anti-American. If you went there, they couldn't guarantee you'd return. I'm serious. I've been there on a cruise before also. My aunt *uncle's wife* is from there and her family is still there. Her family met us at the port with a rented mini-bus as it was my uncles whole family on the cruise. We went to parts of Caracas that we wouldn't have gone unless we were with them. My little brother and sister have blonde hair and they told us to keep an eye on them b/c they are considered good luck there and could be snatched. I was 23 and not a care in the world and I was FREAKED out! We went to some famous square there and had armed guards watching the bus while we looked around. I saw poverty like I've never seen before *and I live in MS* and I saw beautiful houses like none other. I noticed there was no middle class at all. We also ate at a local restaurant that have never really seen Americans before so we had the royal treatment. That's where I discovered "Boula Beer" I'm not sure how you spell it but it was beer with Sangria and fruit in it. It was awesome. When we got back to the ship, my ex had bought some coffee and it was unopened. They pulled us out of line and frisked us. Then they *the local cops with the Uzi machine guns* stuck a knife down in the coffee 2 or 3 times to make sure there wasn't anything but coffee in the can. My ex just threw it away since it would be stale by the time we got home. Don't get me wrong, Venezuala is a beautiful country and I'm glad I went. I have NO desire to go back. My aunt's mom is very sick and she doesn't go home very often because she's scared she'll be harassed or kept in the country just because she's living in MS and married to an American.

Paula, Even when we cruised there many many years ago , they warned us on the ship that it can be very dangerous. My Mom was very upset just knowing I was planning this tour. However once we arrived at port I will say 80% of the people on our cruise went ashore, you have to understand I was in my early twenties as well, and you know how that is, your ears fall of at that stage in your life.
I did heard the same about the blonde kids, that also goes for other islands as well. But yes, that is very scary. Unfortunately I am the type that when I hear a noise in my house, I go to look for it, opening closets or pulling open the bathroom shower curtain, or if a sign says"danger do not enter! I would probally be the first to go in:rotfl2:.
I know I will not go there now but maybe someday I will be able to go back.

Did you see the video of the South African soccer game? The one cancelled by the winds. The signs along the edges of the field were ripped out by the winds, and started sailing across the pitch. Players and officials scrambling for cover.

Watched Paula's favorite movie last night for the first time (POC-Curse of the BP). :pirate: BIG MISTAKE. No, not because of Mr Depp, we all know he's already claimed. But, rather because of Pirate Night planning. Now we're back into: what night is formal, semi, pirate, etc. What night do we do Palo. I've got this pirate idea for me, I've got this pirate idea for you. I think we should... :chat: And it continued this morning: what's that, the Black Pearl might be coming to CC? What is the ship already there? (Flying Dutchman, I think) What part did it play in the movies? (I have absolutely no idea)
A little more about us: I'm 6 foot, she's 5'3". Normally, I'm the faster walker. That is, until we get to WDW/DCL. Then she whips out this extra top gear, and those little legs are just 'a churnin'. Meanwhile, I start humming the William Tell Overture...

Good morning all :sunny:

We watched Dead Man Chest again on Pay Preview last night. Well I did at least. My girls saw it when it came out in the theatre and Holly didn't like it says it was a bit scary. McKenna started watching it with me but fell asleep. Daddy watched Dumbo with Holly and they were snoring away together on the couch by 8:00.

I decided just to have my Pirate costume altered and sweat it out for the night. The darn thing is so heavy, you may not want to stand next to me because I am quite sure by 10:00 I smelled like a pirate :rotfl:
I try and booked Palos for formal night, I prefer not to wear a gown and my Mom definitely does not want to get all hooped up.

I am heading into work shortly . I know there is alot going on there and I am sure it is going to be one of those days. There are suspensions at my work that are pending till Friday. I was asked to cover a bunch of hours this week so I probally won't be one quite as much.

Have a wonderful weekend

Or just head online and do a booking for a double dip. It looks like all the double dips have been placed on holiday weeks, including halloween, woo hoo.

Our TA is taking wait list info for those interested in the 2008 cruises to be released on 1/31. I think their list will be mostly repo and Mexican requests, but I think some other requests will be sent their way. Another advantage of waiting a day or so, pricing will be out. I'm really interested in double-dipping, but we haven't been back to the BC since 2003, and we have that itch to scratch too.

Christine sat down last weekend and totalled up the projected DIS around the Moon numbers. Her unofficial numbers count is 99. 99 Happy Haunts! :cool1: This includes all of our latest additions.

Just one page of scrapbooking. That's what she said around noon. Its still going. :confused3 I've got to get her to stop and help me. :laundy:

Someone saw them on sale, posted a link in the first post, lbgraves a mod was on our cruise and was able to edit the first post when ever it was needed, we picked a colour, lime, as a group and then I designed the graphic for the back and everyone downloaded, that wanted to, and added it to the back of their shirts. DisneyVegas1 even took the design and made it in to playing cards for every family.

The t-shirt was from the outlet section and was 4.99 and then there was a 20% code, so it was like $4.19 per shirt then the transfer. On family just embroidered their names on the sleeve, i really liked that.

Not a problem. Everybody was new once. A double dip is a Disney cruise that makes 2, yes 2 stops at Castaway Cay. I believe they do a modified Western itinerary cruise. Other stops are Costa Maya and Cozumel, I think.

I booked on day one, and the price has actually dropped about 5%.

I re-booked on board and my current price is about $200 less then the online price, and I have a $200 onboard credit.

We're in a category 7 cabin, and the price on our TA's web site has gone up about $250-300 from what we paid.

Sean

Kimmielee

They have raised a bit.... a couple of hundred I think. It's hard for me tell because we rebooked on board... and the 10% discount is BEFORE taxes and trip insurance - then those get added back on. From the looks of things the prices have been raised slightly, more in the higher categories I think. We are in a Cat 6 - Room 6078! We got the $200 credit and another $200 from our TA!

Ok, tree is 3/4 of the way down... I'm making progress!! :cool1: It's snowing like crazy here too! Perhaps I need a sick day to really clean my house... :rolleyes1 So hard to do with Noah here and I cancelled the cleaning service! Too much "prep work" to get the house ready... I might as well clean it myself!

Noah got "Parent Trap" for a present. The newer version with Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid... OH MY GOSH... I can quote it now! :happytv:

Then rebook it while on our upcoming cruise... do they discount 10% from the current price or the price I book on Jan. 31st?

Also, seriously thinking of doing Christmas instead... but gosh, those prices seem out of this world!! I would have LOTS of time to save though! :goodvibes

pjpoohbear

re-booking is current price, always get a quote then compare if it is a good deal.

Ps. we are in a Cat 11. that may be why ours has gone down, not up. Before we even re-booked, it had gone down $70.

I sent you an email. You probably can't reply to my PM due to the low number of posts!

I was looking back at the beginning of this thread... and I joined after PJ (I think she was March)... on May 1st, which was our first day back after our April vacation and 4 day cruise on the Wonder. I think Paula was sometime in July after we had to coax her into booking.... http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/girlpower.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) and then we just kept growing!!

I didn't get as involved on my first DCL cruise and I wish I had. Previously on another cruise line (went on my first cruise without Noah) we chatted with a group on cruisecritic.com and we had a BLAST hanging out with all of those friends! :grouphug: It really is a great way to get to know everyone's personalities and faces....

I didn't have a digital camera for our last cruise and didn't get the pics on a CD so I have none to "share". I LOVE seeing everyone else's... it's so exciting. I can't wait for our GROUP shot!

Just a dusting here in Pa so far. But, with the cold temps, enough to cause havoc. We've muted the NFL playoffs to listen to the scanner instead. Vehicles coming up the hill next to our house are like climbers summiting Everest. Not all make it. :snail: And those going down the hill are like airplanes waiting for takeoff clearance. :car: Or like Space Mountain ride vehicles waiting to launch. A police car got stuck just up past our house, a couple of hours ago. Interesting listening to them call him to another crash, only to get, "I'm temporarily stuck" as his reply. :drive: Being from upstate NY :groom: and NJ :bride: , we're used to a little more snow/winter weather than we usually get here.

Sean....that part about your height & the extra gear could be my hubby & me. You had me :lmao: :rotfl2: My hubby has said the same thing about me & has in fact stood back & waited to see how long it would take for me to realize he had held back. One night at MNSSHP his sister, brother-in-law & he just stood there & watched me fly back & forth.

Hi . If this is your 1st Disney cruise you can book Palos and the shore excursions 60 days in advance. PJ please correct me if I am wrong this is only my 2nd Disney cruise.
No matter what rotation you have the theme nights stay the same.
Saturday - casual
Sunday - Formal
Monday - Pirate night pirate:
Tuesday - casual- Halloween :maleficen
Wednesday - casual
Thursday - semi formal
Friday - casual .

Maria you are right, no matter the restaurant the dressing theme stays the same.

Rh, for now you can only pick Main or Late for dinning, then when you are assigned to a rotation, about 2 weeks before sailing, that will determine what time you eat;
APL 5:30 and 8:00
PLA 5:45 and 8:15
LAP 6:00 and 8:30

Our current understanding is: (for booking Palo, Spa, Excursions)
Suites (cat 1, 2, 3) and REAS: 105 days out
Castaway Club Members (cruised with DCL before): 90 days
New cruisers: 75 days

The goal is to match the theme with the dining room that we have that evening. Being in Lumiere's (the nice dining room) for formal night, Parrot Cay for pirate night, etc. If we Moon Cruisers get our dining linked, we'll be able to know in advance what our rotation will be. Perhaps you're not into Pirates, then Palo or BBB might be the place for you that night. Otherwise, you find out your dining rotation when you get you KTTW (Key to the World) card. A=Animator's Palate, L=Lumiere's, and P=Parrot Cay. So, if PJ talks about ALPALPA (just an example) that is a specific dining rotation.
Linking dining and booking the above excursions/etc. is contingent upon having the cruise paid in full.
We like early dining. Our dinner time at home is usually 5-5:30. With bedtime in just over an hour (21:30) from now.

Have a nice evening,
Sean/Christine

Did anyone fly by themselves and yet still use the ground transfers with Disney.

Our dilema is that we want a few days in Disney World first. Actually I don't know if we will do the actual parks as I can't find any deals.. (heading over to the budget board) Sigh...this is just crazy..so much to decide..

Now I know why people pick Travel Agents. The TA's I have talked to have not been able to surpass any prices from actual disney... It is so frustrating... And then I wonder if I would rather go on the repo cruise.. Not that we can afford all of it over again..then I have to really wonder if I would have fun just by myself...so then I think there has to be something fun to do...

Umm just for the record I am totally not a whiner..

Rh, we are flying in Sunday(?) before the cruise, and have DCL transfers for now, I might change those to a town-car, easier and you get to the port earlier on my schedule. DCL will pick up at WDW on Saturdays, but only at certain hotels and generally around 11 am, getting you to the port at 12:30 pm.

If we do the van we will have room for 4 extra people and luggage.
The rate is 120.00 plus tip, so 150.00, divided by 6 = $25.00. We will be staying at SSR, so the first family at SSR or OKW who are interested please PM and we can talk about grouping up.

Others are talking about maybe trying for the Hummerzine. My DM can not get into that beast, although it was fun to ride in last December. That can take 20 people, but needs a separate luggage car and extra driver, and charges for each resort stop.

If the girls are in the club during lunch or dinner... they eat as a group! They take the kids to whatever restaurant is closed and open a section JUST for them. They are waited on hand and foot and my little guy felt like a "KING"!

We are flying in on Thursday and have opted out of the ground transfers... I'm a control freak and want to get to the port as early as possible and on the ship as soon as possible! I've rented a town car... several actually... one for us at the airport to the resort, a second one at the airport to pick up Sarah (our sitter) the next day ... then one to take us to the port and return us to the airport when it's all over!!:sad1:

K, I think you said that Noah was a bit younger than O will be when she hits the cruise. She is fairly independant so I am sure she would have fun as well.
So if I opt for the late sitting would people be older and annoyed if my girls are there? Ugg I am so confused about the clubs..How do I figure out what time they should be in the club. Are there hour restrictions or do they do the same program all over again.

The travel thing is confusing the heck out of me. We really don't know what to do. We are flying out of canada (I already said that) and flights right now are impossible. I think that it might be better to opt out of the ground transfers and maybe rent a vehicle? Sigh.....how hard is it to drive around... We are from fairly small town, so I am thinking that I should perhaps marry D before we go down there or the directions and me playing a direction giver might cause a divorce before we even get married!

I really don't think that we will have the money to do Disneyland in the three days before the cruise. Will we need to pay for a day at the MK so that we can go to the MNSSHP?

Where are people staying for the nights before and what kind of rates are you getting? Is it best to book now? Or should I wait? We are hoping to fly out of here on Monday or Tuesday. We might have to drive across the border but then what.....get stuck flying out of small town North Dakota. And driving .... I can't fathom how much and how long that would take... I am in a panic...

Deep cleansing breath! In through the nose and out through the mouth! You sound EXACTLY like I did before my first WDW trip!

Let me see, my son and I are driving down the Thursday before and are staying at POFQ. We are going to the park that Friday and the MNSSHP that Friday night. I'm going to drive myself to the port but will be following Kimmielee's ride so I won't get lost. I guess that means I'll have to get up at the butt crack of dawn also! If you go to the MNSSHP only, you only have to pay for the party ticket. I think they start letting ppl in around 430.

There will be kids at all seatings. Some folks will be on different time schedules so I wouldn't worry too much about when you eat. Do what is right for you and your family.

Most of all, don't forget it's a vacation. Things will go wrong, things will not be as planned and things will be forgotten. All of the above will be OK as long as you remember your passport, tickets, money and family:lmao: ! As you can see in ohso's post, you can even improvise if you forget your clothes! pirate:

Paula is right. I think we all went through that Oh My God what if's? It is your vacation sit back think, Happy thoughts, Happy thoughts , Happy thoughts .
We are staying as of right now at All Star Movies it is the cheapest it's around $99.99 a night. We may however, because I have this upgraded myself sickness, move over to POFQ which was about $75.00 more a night but since we are taking the transfers it would be easier to leave from there since the DCL bus picks up at that resort.

You have lots of choices and Disney is VERY VERY good about making things easy for everyone. My Mom and Dad have been reading that damn Disney brouchure for 3 weeks now, 3 WEEKS ! I think it is all of 15 pages. :confused3 So it's not just you :)

Ummmm some help with the abbreviation....?

Ahh, DIS Board-speak. It is like learning a 2nd language. :thumbsup2 Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ). DW and I have even been using these abbreviations when we talk WDW to each other. And I sometimes do it at work. The other Disney folks just sort of give me that look....:confused3
We've done both cruises with a TA. But I did our 2003 WDW trip myself. Even our CR (Contemporary Resort) getaway, when I used a TA, I only used them for the room and 1 day park ticket. Using or not can vary based on price, how much work you want to do yourself, etc.

WDW planning stress: just remember, getting there is half the fun. And don't forget: the planning is the part that doesn't cost money! Unlike the trip itself. I'm sure most of the Moon Cruisers (perhaps this group name is appropriate? :rolleyes1 ) have lists of all sorts of Disney things they'd love to do. I know we do: BC 7-night, Double-dip DCL, Panama Canal Repo, AKL multiple night stay, WDW visit when the Holiday decorations are up.

In closing, we're coming up on a special time of year. Soon the 2007 Passporter Guide to the DCL will be available. Christine and I have found it to be of great value. We even bought one last year, when we weren't cruising. Well worth the money. Between that and the DIS, you don't need anything else. :disrocks:

I am almost talking myself out of the few days before. It is just difficult because we can't book our flights yet.....and yet we can't book our hotel until we know the flights. That being said now I wonder if Amtrak might be a decent alternative. We will see I suppose.

Mr Gent,
Saw video of a container ship off the coast of England on the news tonight. Seems its in a bit of a tight spot. Some containers have gone overboard, and are washing up on shore. The mentioned a motorscooter, camcorders, and other nice things. And that it was PERFECTLY LEGAL :woohoo: for the folks on the shore to make off with the goods. As long as they claimed it on their tax returns. If this is true, could your DIS friends send you some shopping lists?

I like the idea of the Disney ink shop, but they use the on white transfer sheets, you would think that a big buiness like this would also have on dark transfer sheets. This means, you pick a blue shirt and put Donald on it, you have a blue Donald, not a white Donald. Stick with white shirts on this site.

Do the kids who eat with the club just wear whatever?? Dinner can take 60 - 90 minutes... even longer if you linger over dessert... or two... or three... :lmao: The kids wear shorts/whatever when in the club... so they take them to dinner in what they are wearing. They transfer the kids from the clubs to the restaurants via hidden hallways... they are TOTALLY protected from outsiders. That's why they eat in whatever restaurant is closed... so they aren't exposed to adults!

If you have late dinner then you do shows early right?? and visa-versa? SHEESH I need to go look at a navigator to see what DD will be doing when. All I know is that I want to play BINGO! and I want to see my DD8 atleast for a little while each day. Yes, on the vice-versa question. I saw Noah each day... made sure he had some time out in the fresh air... but watched the Kid's activities and made sure I wasn't trying to drag him out of an activity he was looking foward to!

How many of you guys are going to MNSSHP?? We weren't planning on going but if that would give our DD a chance to meet up with some kiddo's before the cruise maybe we should fit it in. Quite a few of us are doing MNSSHP - you should join us!!! The more the merrier and the sooner the kids get face time, the more comfortable they will be with one another! RH, do not take the transfers, use that money to book a van from FL-tours, transport board sponsor, Happy limo or other car service. You then get to pick the pick up time and location. I think you can do a van for under $250 WDW to PC to MCO or any round trip combination.

So if I opt for the late sitting would people be older and annoyed if my girls are there? Ugg I am so confused about the clubs..How do I figure out what time they should be in the club. Are there hour restrictions or do they do the same program all over again. Noah was 6.5 on our cruise. He'll be 8 on this one. I have late dining as a choice right now... because I don't want to be rushed back from excursions. My dining partners were HORRID (my only complaint) because they were a married couple, traveling with NO kids and requested table partners with NO kids. Well, guess what? Noah did go to dinner with me on Pirate Night. Ya know what... HE WAS ON HIS WORST behaviour!! I think he could smell the disdain from the couple. They were totally unfriendly and I actually skipped the next night and ate by myself, even though Noah wasn't with me. They were flat out RUDE! Now, I understand they had a request, but they should have asked to be moved. Ok, vent over!

Highly support the marriage first before embarking on a car trip. What about renting a car to get to the states and taking a plane from there?

I really don't think that we will have the money to do Disneyworld (ahem, my dear, I fixed your typo!!!) in the three days before the cruise. Will we need to pay for a day at the MK so that we can go to the MNSSHP? If you aren't going to the park before MNSSHP starts, you don't need a ticket - but I had read somewhere else that you did. I'll check it out and report back.:surfweb:

Where are people staying for the nights before and what kind of rates are you getting? Is it best to book now? Or should I wait? We are hoping to fly out of here on Monday or Tuesday. We might have to drive across the border but then what.....get stuck flying out of small town North Dakota. And driving .... I can't fathom how much and how long that would take... I am in a panic... First, remember the breathing techniques they taught you prior to giving birth? Practice them... planning is 1/2 of the fun if you don't get too stressed about it. KNOWING that nothing is going to go 100% as planned is important. We are staying at POFQ and for 3 people, 2 nights with tickets and dining... it's about $900. Do not PANIC!! We are here to help!

Halfway through cleaning I realized that they are just going to make it all dusty tomorrow! Oh well, I got in a good workout anyway. I'm just now finished!

For Ethan and I to stay at POFQ for 2 nights with tickets just to MK, minus the MNSSHP tickets will be around $500. It's about $120 more than staying at All Stars. I'll take $120 for peace of mind anyday. Good Grief! That sounds like an Algebra problem!

Oh, did I mention that when I went in the casino I put in $10 in the quarter slots. I played the maximum coins (3) and was winning about $3 at a time. I was going to quit when my 10 ran out. Well, I had been there maybe 10 minutes when I won $75! Yes, I took the money and left! I deposited it in our vacation account today so that's over half of the difference b/t All Stars and POFQ!

I also won a spa night for Thursday night on the radio this morning. It's going to be about 50 gals at a local spa with the morning radio hosts there in tuxes catering to us! How fun does that sound?

Do you see a pattern here? They say that things come in three's, well, in the medical profession we say that. Guess what the third one is going to be? Do you give up? I'm going to win the POWERBALL!!!!!!!!!!!! It's up to $240 MILLION! And when I do win it, I'm going to do http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l8/pvital1/pianodance.gifpirate:

Funny thing is that next to me was one of those "serious" slot players. She had her points card around her neck, cigarettes and cane next to her. I just giggled and walked off. I could see her staring a hole through me as I walked away. She probably thought I was an idiot for leaving with such a small amount! Mr Gent,
Saw video of a container ship off the coast of England on the news tonight. Seems its in a bit of a tight spot. Some containers have gone overboard, and are washing up on shore. The mentioned a motor scooter, camcorders, and other nice things. And that it was PERFECTLY LEGAL :woohoo: for the folks on the shore to make off with the goods. As long as they claimed it on their tax returns. If this is true, could your DIS friends send you some shopping lists?

Vital , I'll be posting right along with you today since I have the day off also . you must be excited to see your floors when they are done. I typically drive the contractors nuts since I am the type that will sit there and ask them what they are doing the whole time. When our pool went in I was down there the whole time, plus I will say I think these contractors were pulling a Chec and Chong . When they were done I noticed so many lumps on the floor and it seems as thou the pool went from shallow to deep at a very steep angle, you could use it as a slide. So needless to say I feel I need to be the foreman when most of them come.

I was off to a bad start today . The girls school starts 8:30 , I woke up at 8:00 . I am not even sure if the girls match today , or if I packed everything. I told them they have to buy lunch since Mommy is running late. We jump in the car and I didn't even have time to change out of my jammies so I parked as far away as I could and the girls walked up the sidewalk. How I miss Barry somedays. When he is in town he drives them to school and I pick them up.
I think we may change to POFQ also . We thinking of upgrading my parents for their Anniversary gift. Your right it isn't that much more and would be so much easier on all of us.

I have a really quick question .
Can anyone tell me if Disney Destinations LLC is the same as booking with Disney on-line? I used the phone number to call because we wanted to pay in full but the papers we received in the mail are very different as to those we had last year booking on-line. My one concern is that I am not able to pull up any information from my reservations on-line and they are not telling me anything about it just that they are looking into it. It has been 2 weeks and I still can't pull up my ressies.

I hope your floor comes out better for you this time.

I just looked up pricing for POFQ and CB , I can't understand why there is such a difference in pricing. We have not stayed at either resort yet so I am not sure if POFQ is nicer then CB ? I don't mind paying the difference but between my parents and our family it would be almost $140.00 more to stay at POFQ.We may be looking at CB beach now :sad1: So the differnce to upgrade from ASM to POFQ is $436.00 . not to sure if it is really worth it. The difference from ASM to CB is $296.00. This is taking into concideration paying for my parents.

Just talked to my work and there is defineity something brewing. I got my schedule for next week and I am working much much more then usual.

Well it's time to break out the vacuum and get some chores done. I'll check back later.

Chris, I think you made a wise decision since you will not be in the room much. All Stars is a little tacky and noisy, but still has clean rooms and Disney service. We may be joining you there, not sure if we are going to stay on property or not, since it will only be for the MNSSHP, then cruise in the morning. Actually still not sure if we are going to do MNSSHP since we only live about an hour from port. We have been thinking of having a friend drive us so that we don't have to pay parking. Guess it depends on how many of you fine folks plan to attend. I would love DD8 to find a cruise buddy before we sail.

As long as we are all on property we could still have a mini meet. Since all the buses go to each resort we could just pick one to meet at, or we could maybe meet in DTD at rainforest cafe or something? just a suggestion. Hope everyone has a great afternoon. It is about 55 degrees here in Mickey World. Overcast and windy.

Good luck with your flooring.........I remember when we laid down our wood floors......what a mess!!!

I think a mini meet is a wonderful idea. We are booked right now at All Star Movies, but may change to CB or POFQ. I know we are doing MNSSHP on Thursday night and Sea World Friday but we will be back in time to possibally get together. If we stay at ASM we are heading over to ALK ( MY FAVORATE ) to catch the DCL bus on Saturday morning.

My DD's I think will get along very well with yours and everyone elses. They have all older cousins and just LOVE kids older then they are, McKenna thinks she is 20 anyways. Holly like I said before is just Miss socialite. I am also hoping there will be kids my girls can play with at the Oceaneers club in their age range which I know is seperated into 3-5 and 6-8 for certain activities.

Rhiluv , we are booked and paid for on everything yes , the cruise too , well on Friday the cruise will be paid in full . We are waiting for Jet Blues rates to come out so that will be in February. I hate loose ends.

Trust me, you will not have to pull my arm to stay over night, or to go to MNSSHP, which amazingly enough we have never been too. It is DH's wallet that is the one holding me back!!!

I think a meet on Saturday would be CRAZY, except of course after we all arrive on board. But Friday would be good. I guess we need to know when everyone will be arriving so we can better decide. Like I said it really would be rather easy to meet up no matter which property you stay on, because the buses run consistently. DH and I always use them to pool hop when we are staying at an "economy" property. That way we can bathe with the best of 'em and enjoy all the perks of the 5 star Disney treatment. Chris.... I too think you made a great choice with staying on site!

We will definately have to put a mini meet together for breakfast... is that for Saturday (kinda busy don't ya'll think?) or for Friday? :yay: :goodvibes

Currently I was going to use Disney transportation, and probably going to stay at one of the value resorts. Not 100% positive yet, but that is plan A.

The tile peeps are done for the day. There's dust everywhere! I'm going to have to take off work Thursday so they can finish up. My EX husband is actually doing something nice for me and sitting here tomorrow on his day off so I don't have to board the dogs until Thursday! I'm sure he'll remind me of his kind gesture at a later date though!

We should do a meet on the boat for ALL of us! If we don't link our dinner ressies together, we should at least say hello to one another! I know we still have plenty of time, but we need to start thinking of it now!http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/think005.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Hi Kimmilee, It is sorta a long story but I will try my best to keep it short and sweet. Barry's Mom and was suppose to get married on the Alaskian cruise. We thought what a wonderful idea and decided it would be nice for us to have a double wedding. However the cruiseline didn't do on board weddings so I looked into other options and came across weddings done in Juno Alaska. Upon further research I stumbled across this company that did weddings on glaciers. So here it was all set and Barry's Mom back out.
We did the 7 day cruise aboard the Holland American Westerndam. On of 5th of June they ported in Juno . We arranged for a limo service to pick all of us up at the dock. Party consisted of Barry , I of coarse, My Mom, Dad , Barry brother and wife his Mom and Ted her fiancee ( no I cannot spell I'm sure you have figured that out by now :rotfl2: ) my Uncle and his wife met us afterward the the Red Dog Saloon. We arrived at the heliport where we took 3 helicopters up to Mendenhall Glacier. We were married by the justice of the peace and flown back to town to met up with my Uncle. The glaciers are amazing . I will try and take some better pictures for you since it really is the prettiest untouched place on Earth. Oh, we were suppose to be on a Wedding Story but they weren't able to get there in time :sad2: My Mom is the one that is a lovely shade of blue, she never opened her eyes the entire time while on the helicopter, I felt so bad for her.
Sorry these pictures are not very good.

Kimmilee, do you think that one of the pool areas would be good? Just thinking if it is warm my girls will want to hit the Mickey Ears hot tubs. However this proved to be a bad idea on our April meet and greet , I think there was too many people up there and noone was able to find anyone. I know some on other threads have chosen to met at one of the bars where it was quieter. This sounds good to me, grab a drink :drinking1 and head up to the sail away party where we can watch Paula and Ronnie break dancing :dancer: party: and the kids can dance too. We are not boarding till probally 1:30 and we would grab a quick bite. We will go along with anything thou so throw out your ideas everyone.

AFter lunch but before the safety talk??

We also need to know which night everyone is going to MNSSHP, then we could also set a time and place to meet up there, just to say hello.

Good choice Paula, he is a cutie :thumbsup2 Wow Paula you are on the prowl huh? The list of men you made today alone exceeded all of my boyfriends ever !!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I prefer to have a selection on the menu!:lmao: pirate:

Paula, I love the pics of your son!

Thanks! He loves seeing himself on here!

Paula... E is soooo adorable! I gotta find the CD from our first trip in '04. It's around here somewhere!

Yes, you must find the pics! I'd like to see Noah!

:rotfl2: Very cute picks. I like the pizza>veggies shirt. Smart kid (hmmmm, wonder where he gets that?):thumbsup2

Do you believe he actually picked that shirt out himself? He's an Old Navy type of guy. We went shopping Saturday and he picked out a shirt that had some squirrels on it partying and it says, "Squirrels Gone Wild, THE Original Party Animals":lmao: Isn't that hilarious? Get it? Girls Gone Wild? AAAH, too early in the morning for me!pirate:

I am sooo happy you were able to save some $$$$. I can't imagine that they can't book that "other" hotel... since they are a travel agency, not just a Disney agent! Good luck!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go.... :rolleyes1

Seeing everyone is making me want to tell him so he can maybe chat with them, through me of course:rotfl: . I guess I can just show him the pics and ask if one day he'd like to go on vacation and meet them!

Paula, I forgot , are you keeping it as a suprise? If so you are better then me. I couldn't even get to Barry's B'day in February to suprise him :rotfl:
I think the kids should chat someday. Last cruise most of them did at some point ,but I think the Moms were chatting more :rotfl2: . It was nice to hear the voices of everyone. Some actaully flew around the country and met prior, not that I have the funds to do that. I have lots of free minutes so maybe at some point we can all chat.
Here are a few a pictures of our humble quiet country home . We love it here :) . We had 2 horses when we first moved in but after I became prego with twins it was too hard to keep them. Someday I'd like to get the girls one, a nice laid back one, probally one thats ready to croak so he barely moves :rotfl:
I can't wait till all my flower start popping out. I have tons and tons of them and work pretty much in the garden all Spring. I was concidering opening a tree and flower farm here since nothing ever dies in our soil.

I stripped down the whole deck last year and restained it by myself. It took 3 weeks but week worth the hard work . They had originally sprayed the entire house, deck, porch, light fixtures, and bushes a lovely barn red. EVERYTHING was barn red  :scared1: !

One last , sorry , I am on a roll . This is the basement. If anyone is intersted we have a super 40 foot bar. The previous owners custom built it and that is the main reason for the purchase of this house:rotfl: Sorry I didn't get a pic of the whole thing but it wraps around it the left.

I hate british houses,i haven't a clue what the house is worth but safe to say where i live and with that land it would cost maybe $2/$2.5m....maybe even more

ps...The sad thing is IF it was over here they'd buy it to KNOCKDOWN and build 20 more on the land...

O' Chris now we all know better. I'm sure you own most of the land in the UK, live in a stone castle thats is surrounded by a moat, you have knights and a carriage that takes you in to town for Hazels daily shipping spree.:lmao:
Barry was wondering where abouts in the UK you are from? Are you in the country or city? We watch alot of BBC shows :happytv: . (Love Cash in the Attic) There is a few shows with a chic named Charile , she is the landscaper, I was hooked to that show for a long time.
