Vital , I say that Costa was my second favorate cruise ever. The kids sail free often and I would LOVE to go again , they have some amazing ships out right now over 100,000 tons with water slides for the kids , and yes best food I ever had also. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP too.

I just asked a question on the main cruise page regarding the fitness classes at the spa. Sean said to give it some time to get replies because I just posted it last night. But I'm antsy for info:hyper: So I thought I would link to it here in case any of you have the answer.
Thanks,
Christine

No far from low carb. I ate 3 yogurts a day just about, I had 4 deviled eggs everyday or some sort of egg. I ate lots of cheese. drank tons of water. I had Subway tuna salad on low carb wraps or tuna salads on wheat. I did this for about 4 weeks before we left on our last cruise and it really worked , I tried so many things and this seemed to do it for me. It seems to be a good balance between lighter carb and lighter fat , mayo has no carbs but yogurt does.

Deviled eggs... yummy. What yogurt brand did you like the best?

If it's not too early in the morning I may join y'all for a Pilates class or something. I may even venture in and cheer you on if you're on the treadmill:cheer2:

Kimmilee, I love yoplait, and most flavors. I always put mine in the freezer for 10 minutes to get them really cold before I eat them.

Am I the only one who can see my jail cartoon for Chris? I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

You are using Kodak gallery. Join Photobucket and upload your pics there. It's free and it automatically puts your pic in the format to use here. I can see your pics b/c I use Kodak gallery also. When I post a pic from there I have to upload it to Photobucket.com first.

1. Join Photobucket.com
2. Upload your pics
3. When your pics are uploaded, select the IMG link under the pic and copy
and paste it here. It sounds complicated, but if I can do it anyone can!

Here's a couple of pics from our last cruise out of New Orleans. This was the summer of Katrina! Notice how slim I looked there. I'll look just like that again for our cruise if not better!pirate:

Vital , I love seeing your photos keep them coming . I'm sure you are going to look amazing for this cruise. How old is your son? He looks like he will be around my girls age . I have McKenna, I call her my boygirl. Loves anything having to do with boy stuff, and then there is princess Holly who truely think she is going to be a princess when she grows up.
I am going to go try Photobucket now. Thanks for the help.

Our thread just keeps getting better and better... great information being traded, personalities being revealed... PHOTOS are lovely.... We are such a great group. I can't wait!!!! :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

The T-shirt designs will be something I work on this week to see if they have come up with newer designs AND I thought I'd do some lurking on the past cruise threads to get ideas. :surfweb:

Those of you that have cruised in the past.... by all means, chime in! I liked the Disney shirts from the Disney store but have to scroll back to figure out how that all came together. :coffee:

So.... are we there yet? How much longer? Can anyone else think of anything else? Am I the ONLY nut on this thread? :cool1:

Here are Eric & I in front of the Disney Wonder's Christmas tree Dec 3, 2006.

We are thinking of dressing up for Halloween & even though we are traveling without kids, we would be happy to participate in a trick or treat for the kids & give out some treats. We get very few trick-or-treaters at home so that would be a treat for us.
Can't wait to see what kind of events we all decide to do together.

Awesome pic!! Where we live, all the kids go to the big subdivisions... we live in the "village" where the houses are older and further apart. We rarely get anyone for Trick or Treat. This will be a treat for us as well! I'm thinking we'll ship candy to WDW so we don't have to cart it on the plane? :woohoo:

We live in a great area that has LOTS of trick or treaters. We had to stop at the house and empty Ethan's bag! Don't forget I'm driving! If y'all want to send some money for your candy, I'll be glad to pick some up. That way you don't have to pay shipping!
It's an awesome day here! 76, breezy and perfect! I love the south!

Chris, I guess that means you think all of us gals are HOT! :lmao: Sorry, you are just too easy to mess with!

OK peeps! Where ya at? I watched the Magic sail away from Port Canavaral this afternoon and I'm ready to go NOW! If I win tonight, y'all start packing!

The Saints fever has hit Mississippi also! I went to the store earlier and saw all kinds of folks in Saints colors and outfits. Usually its NCAA gear ppl wear but the Saints have taken over! My neighbors on 2 sides are cooking out. Not a good thing when I'm on a diet and have my windows open!pirate:

I'm here for you girl. :) Where were you that you saw the Magic sail away? My husband was down in VA and saw the Magic in dry dock a few weeks ago well maybe a month or so ago . I was so jealous that I had him send pictures via his cell phone.

We had the best wings tonight , Creamy bacon & Chives
Mexican mudpie, sweet and tangy, Pesto , and Spicy Garlic , oh yeah Spicy Blue. Yes I even had a chocolate and peanut butter cup sundae with chocolate mocha sauce. I never start dieting till nearly Spring because if I start to early I blow it.

Not fair! Where in the world did you eat? We have a Buffalo Wild Wings here but I go more for the beer than the wings. Hey, when I get a chance to go out I like to relax and have a fewpirate: !

I saw the boat on Twopalmscam.com. I think that's the site anyway. I googled two palms cam and the right one came up. I also had on the Port Canavaral cam. When the boat leaves there it's usually about 30-40minutes before it hits the two palms cam. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Can we go YET?pirate:

Oh yes defintely a sea night. I only chose 1 or 2 nights to drink because typically I only drink to get drunk LOL :rotfl: . You will probally not find me besides that and the Martini tasting drinking much. Plus I don't want my kids thinking Mommy's a lush. Last time I was on Carnival they had free Whiskey Sours for 1 hour for all returning sailors and oh yes I am going to drink AS much as I can for that 1 hour, if it's free I'm in. I was out cold in about 1 hour and 5 minutes :rotfl2:

I think when it gets closer we should do a name list and cabin number list. I know right now we don't have a cabin because I cheaped out this time and took a cat 12 hoping for an upgrade, if we don't get it by Sept I may try and upgrade us and pay the difference. that or we can bunk with Chris in his suite HEHE:yay: I know there are 2 rooms there.

WOW!
We were off the Dis for a whole day due to both of us working. We just caught up on the last 3 pages. Very interesting stuff...at one point I laughed out loud and I think caused Sean temporary deafness (I think it was the comment about Kimmielee and the "hat").

We're glad that there will be others joining us in the fitness center. How about a group meet there? We usually hit the gym by 7am. Should we reserve it?
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, Sean's nagging me to finish here. He can't exercise today because he's working 12 hours so I must represent the family at the gym.

I have committed myself to a goal that I know will be a challenge. I would like to complete the scrapbook from our last cruise (2005) and from our Oct 2006 WDW visit by the time of our next cruise. Wish me luck. Maybe this will help pixiedust:

Must go exercise now...have a great day. :cool1:

We could do a scrapbook page meet & all bring things to use & make a page kinda thing. :goodvibes:It's ok if you all think I am a geek cause I know I am.

& it's good to know there will be others getting their drink on :drinking1.
My DH & I did quite a bit of that on our 4 night cruise & enjoyed ourselves alot & ended up feeling like this most nights :dance3:

I had great intentions.... bought all the required "tools" that were popular 4 years ago... have a family of scrapbookers that go for entire weekends to hotels with other scrapbookers, sitting in their pj's doing page after page....

However, being a single Mom 24/7 (no Dad in the picture for Noah) I ended up giving all my stuff to my nieces to use and one of them (bless her heart) took all of our 2006 WDW and Cruise pics and is working on a book for me.:goodvibes

I feed her $50 every now and then for supplies and have "heard" the book is amazing.... but alas, I am one of those that has no time or room to spread out all the pics to be considered a scrapbooker!!! :rolleyes1

I have learned from those that "do".... how to take pictures with a scrapbook page in mind! Another fellow DISer that is an amazing photographer is also going to help teach me how to position my pics better. :p

PJpoohbear, that is a great picture! How did you manage to wrangle evryone up for that? We tried it on ours but seemed to fail everytime.

I cannot do a scrap book to save my life, in fact I have not one single crafty bone in my body. Patience is a virtue I simply don't have . ARE WE THERE YET is my modo , ARE WE DONE YET is another :rotfl:

Disneygrl , If we get a chance thou I would love to try and help you out with the scapebook. Might give me a chance to learn a new thing. You may want me to help you thou after I had a couple , everything is just a touch more fun with a little bit of help from vodka , gin and vermoth. http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/eatdrink003.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) especially something I have to sit for more then 10 minutes doing HEHE

Just crap!!!! I didn't win the lottery, but nobody else did either! I may have to make a trip and get some extra tickets! It's going to be up to 188mil. That's MILLION!!!!!!!

One good thing happened yesterday, the Saints won:cheer2: . I bet Bourbon St was rocking last night. Glad I wasn't there. I've been on Fat Tuesday and the crowds can be overwhelming at times.

I feel like a Blowfish today. BOYS COVER YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Auntie Flo is a byatch! BOYS YOU CAN READ AGAIN.

As for scrap booking, I don't ever print my pics from the computer! Isn't that horrible? I have my pics scrolling as a screen saver and Ethan will sit here and laugh. He's going to be 8 on the cruise for whoever asked, I'm sorry, I don't remember!

It also looks like several of us might need a liver transplant after the cruise! I want to confirm that I like to have a beer or 5 on vacation but I am NOT a lush at home:) . Most likely you will see me with a beer or the drink of the day in my hand, but not staggering around (unless my exMIL comes and can take care of Ethan:lmao: )

I want to ask y'alls opinion on something. I'd LOVE to stay at WL for the 2 nights we'll be there. Here's my delimma. We won't get to the room the first night until after midnight. Then we're getting up and going to MK that Friday during the day to make sure we get to ride POTC. We'll go back to the room around 2 to take a break and change for the MNSSHP that night. Then we'll be out until around 11 or so. I'm having a hard time justifying spending that amount of money for a few hours in the room. I'm now thinking of POFQ or a value. Please give me your opinions. I've stayed at POFQ and fell in love. I've never stayed at a value. It'd probably be ASMusic since I've heard horror stories of the other ones. I'll have my car so I can drive to the park if busses are a problem. HELP!!!!!!!pirate:

Well good morning lady Vital :sunny:

We are staying 2 nights prior which this time we are opting for a cheaper resort so we picked the All Star Movies. We can take the bus from there right to Animal Kingdom Lodge on Saturday to get the Disney Cruise bus. It leaves there at 12:30 but they told us to get there at 12:00 , we may go eatlier and let the girls swim there. We stayed at ALK in April and thats where we left for the 7 day cruise.
My girls picked Movies because of Toy Story and the Dalmations.

Come join us it would be fun to meet someone before the cruise:) :cool1: :yay: :chat:

I'm having the same dilemma... although... I did the Poly for 2 nights... Noah and I are arriving about 1:00 in the afternoon on Thursday. Sarah isn't coming until the same time the NEXT day....

I booked the Poly for close proximity to leave MK, go back to the hotel to rest, meet Sarah, get changed for MNSSHP and then back to MK within a few moments via the boat across the lagoon.

It's horribly expensive but my thought was the valuable time that we'll save. Being able to stay later in the park the night before the cruise... but I could easily cut the price in half by staying at POFQ (good choice Paula - that's my fav mod too!).

If we were to stay in the same place... then you could follow the town car to the pier... so perhaps POFQ is a better choice?:confused3

The difference for me (mostly for Noah) between the Value and the Mods is the lack of a pool slide. That's Noah's favorite part of WDW. We stayed at AllStarMovies last year for the first 5 days of our 12 day dream trip, then the cruise for 4, then POFQ for 3 and by far, he talks about POFQ the most because of the slide. We spent a day at the Poly due to the main pool at AllStarMovies being closed and THAT slide was amazing!!! Since we are arriving on Thursday afternoon and doing MK on Friday... I only bought park passes for 1 day for each of us. I thought we'd do the pool and downtown disney on Thursday.

OK, did some research this morning. Here are the prices I came up with.

1. Swan/Dolphin $338 for 2 nights plus tickets. I get a nurse discount!

2. ASMovies $384.16 with tickets

3. POFQ $504.56 with tickets

4. WL $729.56 with tickets

That's not including MNSSHP tickets. Is the Halloween party really worth going or should I get a park hopper and go to say, MGM that night? Just throwing the question out there. We'll be at MK most of the day Friday.

Boy, when you look at the prices like that it's a no brainer which ones should be the top 2. I'm going to join AAA so that will give me a little more discount, but not much.

PJpoohbear, that is a great picture! How did you manage to wrangle evryone up for that? We tried it on ours but seemed to fail everytime.

Good Morning everyone :cloud9:

Ok, did you see the pic of the DIS Captain Sparrow, several pages back? We were on early rotation for dinner, but took the picture at 8:45 pm. So we invaded, yes invaded, the late DIS dinning rotation and took the late DISer's captive for the photo, it was a blast! We had pirate flags, were lead by Captain Jackpirate: and even the Banana was involved, lol.

I think that MNSSHP is a must do! The park is transformed for the party... the characters dress up in their own Halloween costumes. The parade is one of a kind.... it sets the mood!

Ok, here's the differences for me... but I have 3 people in my party and I included Disney Dining so we can use our table services for a suprise dinner for Sarah....

3 people, 2 nights, 1 day ticket (no hopper) for Friday and dining

Poly $1250.41
WL $980.03 (Paula, does it have a slide?)
POFQ $800.03
AllStars $607.51

I'm nuts to be staying at the Poly.... lol Looks like I'll be calling and switching to POFQ after all....

We booked a Cat 6... I have to have a verandah when cruising... I get claustrophobic!!

I only ate there and walked past the pool. I think they have a slide, but I can't really remember. The boat ride to MK was the main reason I wanted to stay there. Laziness at a price! I still can't justify in my mind paying that much more just to sleep there. Hell, I should pack a tent and stay at the campground! It's right across from MK! I'll have to talk to Ronnie and see how his Feb trip goes. Maybe I can talk him into camping with us so nobody bothers us at night! *minds out of gutter* I've asked some questions on the swan/dolphin thread ans will see what they have to say. I'm curious if we could go to Epcot and hop on the monorail to MK from the Swan. That would be great!pirate:

I'm pretty sure we'll do the MNSSHP. I just like to throw options out b/c you never know what you'll hear.

I'm so jealous , I don't think we will be doing the Halloween party because my parents would like to do Sea World. I may double think this. I said for over a year now that I would really like to see Disney at Halloween . What day do they start decorating? They didn't have any information on it when I called about it.
I wonder if Sea World decorates for Halloween. does anyone know?

PJ , I really hope we can all get a picture like that , it would make a wonderful momento.

O.k I guess I am jumping the gun since I just tried to call Disney dining and book Boma's just now LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl: , the gentlemen on the phone must have thought I was a nut. OPPPS forgot 6 months out is the earliest we can book .

Looks like I am keeping the Pirate costume since you all are dressing up, well most of you. It was about 8 sizes too big for me so I am going to see about having it altered.

Kimmilee sounds like you have alot of choices, if it was me and could get the Dolphin thats the way I would go.

No ice storm here, still in the 70's!
The tickets are purchased seperately. I think they are around 50 dollars, give or take a few.

I think I'm just going to book at All Star Movies. It's only for 2 nights and I can't justify spending the extra bucks. It was a good thought, but I'd rather be able to get Ethan some more things on the cruise. He wants to see Blackbeards Castle "one day". I'm going to look up St Thomas and see if we could just take a cab after the pirate snorkel and go explore on our own. That can be done with the extra money saved by not staying at WL.

Well, off to shower for a birthday party.pirate:

The MNSSHP tickets are separate and cost about $70 for the two of us (1 adult and 1 child). Here is a link with some information: http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mnssh.htm

I was thinking Thursday only because I would hate for Barry I and the girls to be up till 1:00 and then having to get up for the cruise the next day. My parents are not going to Disney for the Halloween Party.

We are flying in at 11:00 on Thursday so we will have to pick a time to met.

We are going Friday night. I'm driving in and won't get there until after midnight Thursday. I'm just going to leave the party right after the fireworks as we will have been at the park all day. I'm thinking around 1130. As long as Ethan gets about 7 hours of sleep he does fine. I'm hoping he'll sleep on the way to the boat!pirate:

Great location for us to get to Downtown Disney easily and still have the slide for Noah! I cut my remaining balance in half because even though the website says there are garden view rooms available at the Poly (dropping my price from $1662.41 to $1250...they ARE NOT available per Disney travel). I am going to say a quick prayer that he decides not to head to DC until the afternoon since they are calling for 1/2 or more of ice with power outages and downed trees. So if I am not on the boards tomorrow you will know the girls and I are eatting out of a can and sitting around a candle :rotfl:

Oh quick note:
If you chose the ALK be very leary of the elevators. The girls were very sick on Thursday evening and I decided to get up at 1:00 am and go to see if the desk had and meds. I got on the elevator and pushed the button . The lights went off  and it dropped 2 floors. NO LIGHTS FOR 10 mintues and here I am in the dark trying to hit buttons. Needless to say it felt like MGM studios. They were very quick once they realized I was in damn elevator to hand me $500.00 dollars, I asked them if i could get back on and do it again :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Same day the girls were sick we went to Downtown Disney and went to Wolg Gang Pucks. a lady and her Mom were in line and they started chatting with us. The girls weren't saying much and i said " So sorry they are not feeling well "The one lady came back and said " I work at Bibbideebobbibidee Boutique and I would like to give the girls free Princess makeovers. She even took them shopping .

I only live about 30 minutes from Disney, in between Tampa and Orlando, If anyone needs me to bring anything for them it will be my pleasure as we are going to drive up the day before the cruise and stay in Port Canaveral. We will have plenty of room since we are driving ourselves. I'd be more than happy to pick up any needed items that you don't want to travel with. If there is anything else I can do just ask, I have been to MK a ZILLION times and have visited ALL the other parks more times than I can count ( Florida Resident annual passes make it SO nice, and affordable too.) We have stayed at all the properties and also camped several times. I hope I can give some sort of insight, or answer any questions for you since you all have been so very generous with yours. I am soooo excited to go on this cruise.....Now I wonder why in the world did I wait so long to indulge........I have a feeling we will become REGULARS on DCL after this one:cool1:

Those listed above are the best rates I see right now. The transportation from Orlando to Busch Gardens is nice, a charter bus I believe. With the Universal Pass you can also visit the water parks, which are usually still operating thru October. It is almost always warm enough to enjoy them.

Oh yeah and if any of you have any additional time. Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Fl. (about 30 min. from Disney) is a great theme park for a laid back atmosphere. HUGE thrill seekers won't like it but it does have alot of "cool" rides, hardly any lines, a great ice skate show, decent water ski show.....My DD really loves this park because there are hardly ever any lines and she can DO ALOT. It also has an adjoining water park that is FREE with admission.

pjpoohbear
01-15-2007, 02:21 PM
On the pin trading, yes, there is pin trading in the shops and a officers pin trading night, but this depend on the health status of the ship. If all is healthy pin trading will happen. If there has been illness on the ship, our cruise or the one before ours, there may not be pin trading.

Good do I have a Bingo buddy? I sat there by myself most of the time last cruise . We will have to get a drink or two, seems to ease the pain when you don't win  , however we are going to WIN :woohoo:

We have been to St Thomas 8 times, I am finally going to break down and go to Megans Bay. St Johns is wonderful if you like to snorkle or take a nature hike.We did Coral World last time and Coki Beach, it was drizzling most of the day but the sun came out now and then , this was the first time we ever had rain there.

St Marteen - DH and I had a BLAST on the Rhino Riders that I think we are doing it again . Those things are pretty fast . I let him drive because I know I can't. They took us to a quiet cove where we snorkled and went to a beach, there was noone on it. We had fun racing others through the Bay . If anyone else is going on this please let us know , it seems the more the Merry with this one. This is one of the best excursions we have ever been on.

On St Thomas we are doing the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel. This is where you ride on a "pirate" ship to snorkel with the sea turtles. That has always been a dream of mine! Then on the way back they break out the RUUUUUM for the big kids and let the little kids sip on Cokes and "sail" the ship. Oh yeah, they also tattoo you! If we have enough time we are going to go to Blackbeard's Castle. Ethan is obesessed with pirates *and his mom is obsessed with a CERTAIN pirate* and I thought he'd like this.

St Maarten is kinda up in the air. I really want to go to the beach at the end of the runway and check that out. Last time we were there Ethan was smaller so we just stayed at the beach by the boat. It was great for him, calm and shallow waters. This time we are heading out! I think he'd get a kick out of the planes almost landing on his head!

Castaway Cay is going to be an "us" morning and an "alone" afternoon. I'm thinking of signing up for the Eco Tour. I've read about this on a trip report where you get on jet skiis and tour around the island. Then they take you about a mile out and you get off your jet skiis onto a sandbar! So you are in the middle of the ocean on a sandbar! I thought that'd be cool! Then it's off to Scuttle's Cove for Ethan and Serenity Bay for mommy and hopefully my DIS friends will have a hammock and a Konch Kooler waiting on me!pirate:

'Twas quite foggy here this morning.
As I went for the paper, the walk seemed unusually long.
Next thing I knew, there was a gentleman in the mist, about 12 stones.
He tipped his hat, and silently moved off into the grey morning.
As he departed, I heard him speaking about his upcoming October holiday....

Long, busy weekend at work. Training a new staff member today, instead of being off. Too much staring at the computer. :surfweb: Must rest the eyes before I compete in an annual invitational rifle match this weekend. As I crashed into bed the last 2 nights, DW would relay the DIS 'o the day. To catch up:
I'm originally from the Binghamton area of upstate NY. A town called Vestal.
Mom and Dad have a place in the Finger Lakes region. :cloud9:
Gent, meant to tell you when I saw you this am :lmao: -we stayed at AKL the night before our 2005 cruise. Last fall, it was CR with an MK view. Both quite nice. CR had the added bonus of seeing the fireworks every night, but without MNSSHP park pass fees. They pipe in the audio over a TV channel in your room. If its Monday, then it must be time to launder the towels! :laundy: gotta go.
Have a nice evening, all!

Padisney. Barry did alot of work down in Binghamton and Vestal when they got all that flooding . Our friends live in Unidilla. We are just outside of Syracuse . GO ORANGE :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Paula , if my Dad and Barry decide to do the Eco tour in St Johns the girls and i may join you on the pirate ship, that sounds like fun. I will have to see what my Mom is planning thou. I am not so sure about the turtle part. We did the Stingray swim in Grand Caymen and I was on Barry's back for the whole time except for the 2 seconds I tried to put my down.

The turtles aren't guarnteed. They are still wild but this is where they like to hang out. Come join us! You can check them out at their website http://www.doubloon.com . It looks like fun to me! I was in when the said pirate, rum and sea turtles! What more could a girl ask for?pirate:

We haven't decided on any excursions yet...guess I better start doing my research & decide what looks fun. I have been to all the islands once, but not on a cruise ship & my DH hasn't been at all. I know I want to go to St John as I think we would enjoy that better.

Paula......we'll see you in Serenity Bay & hopefully it will be beautiful weather so we can all enjoy alot of Konch Koolers. We only had one in Dec cause it was overcast & cold....not good weather for enjoying a frozen beverage really, but we had to try one anyway. :thumbsup2:

Then I may get you to save a spot for me! I've been reading where Serentity Bay is deserted. I'm thinking WTH? That's where I'm going! If we don't do the Eco thing, I'm going to do the family beach for a little bit and send Ethan to Scuttle's Cove for the rest of the day. He has more fun with his friends anyway! I used to feel guilty by putting him in the kids clubs but he still talks about them! I figure he's making his own friends and memories as well. I'm thankful he's as independant as he is and not a clingy child!pirate:

My Dad graduated from SU. I remember competing at the Carrier Dome with my marching band, back in the day... and competing in Rifle against Central Square. Flooding-which time? They got hammered twice: the once-a-1000 year one in June (I think), and again in November. Mom and Dad brought down a book the Press and Sun Bulletin put together about the June flood. It looked terrible. The hospital where I was born had to be evacuated.

Then it's off to Scuttle's Cove for Ethan and Serenity Bay for mommy and hopefully my DIS friends will have a hammock and a Konch Kooler waiting on me!pirate:

http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/signs009.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) Especially the "pirate" ship on St. Thomas! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/merv/pirate.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Except for two things.... well, sorta... I am also undecided about St. Maarten. Definately want a beach... not sure which one.

The other difference Castaway Cay.... the morning is the same.. time with Noah... but the afternoon is minus the jet skis... This would be them trying to pull me back to the shore... http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/sport036.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

I just want Serenity Bay... the sun... and lots of Konch Koolers.... http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/eatdrink003.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

On the pin trading, yes, there is pin trading in the shops and a officers pin trading night, but this depend on the health status of the ship. If all is healthy pin trading will happen. If there has been illness on the ship, our cruise or the one before ours, there may not be pin trading.

Pj

You sound like just the lady to blame for my kids shouts of "pin dad" thiers a pin i "NEED"...oh when did we start collecting those pins prey tell?....

ps....am thinking of starting a new golf club range with a "mickey" stickers on the side or asking BMW to give the seats in the new 5 series "mickey" ears because whenever the kids ask for ANYTHING related to the almighty MOUSE Hazel just says "dont be so mean just buy the kids what they want", you know with that lady's look in her eye....:lmao:

Found our thread way at the bottom :confused3

Has anyone else found out what time their dinner is ? I called to ask a quick question and they told me we have the 6:30 seating , I didn't think to ask if they knew our rotation , maybe they don't do that till closer to departure. This is perfect for us since last time we had 8:30 and missed 6 of the 7 dinners. Holly and Mckenna just could last till then .

30 August 2006: Disney Upgrades Bedding, In-Cabin Amenities: Disney Cruise Line is upgrading every stateroom in its fleet with new mattresses and luxurious linens. Disney will also introduce new in-cabin bath and shower products developed by H20 Plus, a line of water-based products derived from marine botanicals. All cabins onboard Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will be outfitted with: Sealy Posturepedic Premium Plus Euro-top mattresses; New pillows; Frette 300-thread-count linens of 100 percent Egyptian cotton; Larger, plusher towels and bath sheets in bathrooms; H20 Plus Spa Sea Marine Revitalizing Shampoo; H20 Plus Spa Marine Collagen Conditioner; H20 Plus Spa Hydrating Body Butter. Concierge level suites will also offer a "Pillow Talk" menu with a selection of hypo-allergenic, feather and therapeutic memory foam options, and additional H20 Plus offerings such as Sea Salt Body Wash and Solar Relief Gel. Not a concierge passenger? Not to worry -- an expanded line of H20 products, including the body wash and gel as well as fruity body balms and a minty foot rub, will be available for purchase in Treasure Ketch, the ships' gift shop, from $8.50.

Hey, did you all know that we should be the first or second cruise after Magic's bi-annual refurb. I wonder what changes will be made to our ship before we get on? There will be lots of DISers watching our live reports, lol. I really hope that we are the second cruise after, as the frist cruise last year had lots of work still happening during their cruise.

Does the revitawhateva shampoo and spa marine conditioner wash your hair? If so I'm all for it. Not much need for conditioner though.:teeth:

I haven't used it yet, lol. Will let you know.

PJ . Did they also changed the bedspreads? I thought the ones we had looked pretty new. I forgot you went in December lucky you :)

Same design, were they new, did not notice, but boy was that bed nice.

PJ , ,I am still reading trying my best to catch up . You are full of information , I didn't know about this either, do you happen to know any more about it?

It looks like there will not be a drydock of the magic this year, rumors are that it will happen next year. But who knows what will be announced in the coming weeks.

I was just looking at excursions, have any of you been on the Anguilla dolphin encounter? Is it worth the price? What about the Caribbean Duck, we went on a "Duck" tour in Stone Mountain and it was great fun. Any ideas for St. Thomas Excursions? Any other ideas, this is the most frustrating part for me because I am not sure that I should book excursions or just venture out on our own. When DH and I went to the Bahama's on THE BIG RED BOAT ( 13 years ago) We did excursions and loved them all but now we have DD and we have a "budget":scared: Didn't have one of those back in the Honeymoonin' days:hug: I just want to make sure I plan the $$$ if the excursions are worth it. Being our first 7-night, and first cruise where we actually get off the boat (other than CC), DW and I will probably book our tours through DCL. We haven't decided yet, but DW just started floating a few inches off the floor. Due to the dolphin encounter question. It seems our thoughts for tours change weekly over here...

Good morning peeps! I've been busting my **** at work and went to sleep at 830 last night! I'll be around more tonight and this weekend!

As for the dolphin encounter, we've done it twice and will skip it this time. I'm waiting until Ethan is a little older so we can actually "swim" with them. I'd love to be able to be lifted out of the water by them and pushed a few feet! The encounter is great and makes for awesome pics! We are going to be a bit more adventurous this time with the snorkeling and the beach with the airplanes on it. I'm so glad I have a boy with an adventurous streak in him! When he's around 11 or 12 I want to go on a cruise that stops in Belize and do the cave tubing with him. I think he'd get a kick out of that!

Have a good day everyone! Oh, all that bragging about the weather is loooooong forgotten. It has rained here everyday this week and hasn't gotten above 42 degrees! BLAH! This is not why I live in the south!pirate:

We tried the ariel trek and cave tubing in Belize on our November cruise, but unfortunatley the caves waters were too high. So we were only able to do the ariel trek portion. It was one of the main reason for choosing that ship and itinerary so we could do Belize. It was an amazingly long ride to the caves and along the way the bus driver would make these ubrupt stops to point out alligators , but you would have thought not one person on that bus has never seen an alligator before. I literally have a scar on my head from bumping into the seat in front of me or when I hit my head on the metal polls to jump up when he first yelled out LOOK EVERYONE, holy crap I thought it was going to be something big the way he yelled and slammed on the brakes, NO just a damn alligator!:rotfl: For the Northerners who have never seen one this may be great but for me it was like he was yelling " Look Cat ":rotfl2:

HMMM, maybe I should do a cruise to Hawaii and save the tubing for the rivers around here! We'd for sure see plenty of alligators in the tubing rivers in south Mississippi! This is our weather right now. I just got back a bit ago and cried all the way home. It was terrible. Yes I am from the snow belt capital of the world and yes I cry driving. It started last year after I just had to have the souped up Impala LX , this thing is so damn low that if you hit a small snow rut you are going sideways. 5 miles and hour last year and I'm going sideways on the highway and others are passsing me going 50 in with their SUVS , which we also have but I have to be cool ya know http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/transport001.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org). We will be cruising on the October 27 with the Magic. We are ecstatic.. This is my life long dream I just turned 30 AND we were wanting to get married on the ship but it is so much money so we will just do so before hand and that will be our honey moon. We are taking two girls 6 and 4. We want to do some things in Florida for a bit first... we are thinking three days...and not alot of expensive things...

I went back and read some people started planning this in March of last year...and kidlets... YOU rock...your patience is absolutely stellar!

I thought I was bad.. I think everyone I know is getting sick of talking about it with me, so voila...this is going to be my home for the next how many months!! And then hopefully I can stick around make some friends and do some cruises on my own! ;)

My email is rhiwork@gmail.com

I am canadian....

OH I have two questions... Why with a travel agent.. I need a discount.....the travel agents here have no discount.

If I fly in on my own..are the ground transfers important..

Disney Insurance..does it rock?

Lastly flights.....flying out of saskatchewan...what is the best way to do that?

Hi Rhiluvsd, Welcome :) to our family, this is such a lovely group here on this thread. Everyone has unique and wonderful personalities.http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/signs046.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Looks like our girls will have many friends :thumbsup2 , our daughters will be 6 on Halloween.

Wish I could help you with all your questions. What I can tell you is that we never took insurance for any vacation. It seems to cover only certain things and I know for us our insurance health wise is covered by our own agency. We are flying down 2 days early to avoid any flight delays, this way what we were going to spend for insurance we are able to use for the Resort.

We always book directly through Disney on-line for many reasons . One being last time I needed to change to a different room that became available and my Travel agency was closed over the weekend . I called the cruise line and they said they could do nothing because I needed to do it though my travel agent. Well I lost out because they were closed till Monday.

I am sure they are others on this board that can help you more. I know PJpoohbear has lots of great information for you What I told you above is only my experiences.

With the exception of Embarkation Day, the operating hours for the Oceaneer Club and Lab are 9:00 am to midnight or 1:00 am. Later in the evening, mats are provided for younger children whose parents may be out past the little one's bedtime.
Ages 3-7

Oceaneers Club
Children are grouped into two age categories, 3 to 4 and 5 to 7-year-olds. The littlest tykes can choose from some of these fun activities:

Hat's Off to Peter Pan - a time of fun and adventure as you search for the leader of the Lost Boys
Mouseketeer Inspection - the Big Cheese himself comes to inspect the Mouseketeers and leads them in a march to the Oceaneer Lab.
Flounder's Fish Tales - go under the sea and follow Flounder on a magical puppet sea tale.
Storytime with Belle - children get to act out the parts as Belle reads them one of her favorite tales. The 5 to 7 year-olds can take part in special activities just for them, including:

Detective School -- children look for clues, view slides, take fingerprints and perform other fun tasks as they try and solve a mystery.
To Infinity & Beyond - Space Rangers get to help Buzz as he journeys throughout the galaxy.
Eggsperiments -- discover the amazing things you can do with an ordinary household egg in this activity for young scientists.
Picture This - create a special picture frame to capture vacation memories. Most of the shore excursions are for ages 5 and up. My girls were only 4 at the time of sailing and Holly did great. McKenna on the other not so well. We were paged often because she was very sad and wanted to be with us. Nightlife for my DH and I was little to nothing so this time thank goodness my parents are coming along , Grandma already said McKenna can stay with her at night so my Dad, Barry and I can enjoy some of those later shows.

The girls ate with the Oceaneers group while Barry and I enjoyed Palos. Make sure you are on-line to book Palos at 3:00 am EST the day your are finally able to book. The good time spots go quickly.

A title, oh no that won't do ... I am only helping for group dinning (i.e. if you want to share the same rotation and sit in close location or at a table with/to other DISers), and will throw out any and all knowledge I have gleaned over my three cruises, DVC stays and WDW adventures, lol. Stop trying to get me in trouble, lol.
For dinning we are looking at the Early/Main Seating and on the rotation that will have us in AP and Lum for Semi/Formal, and PC for Pirate night, I believe that rotation sits at 5:45, (others being 5:30 and 6:00 pm.)

Welcome to Rhiluvsd. Gosh, the list is so long now, I think we're in the first half of the group. DW mentioned that our group is closing in on our 2000th post. I can't even remember what page we were on when we joined.
Regarding travel insurance: we've gotten it, but only for our cruises. The company we used through our TA appears to have better coverage at lower prices than DCL's offering. Definitely will fly in the day before. Just in case there are any flight issues.

I think I can see some spindley legs in the pic. I'm not going to say where in case someone else wants to play! The pics of the cave tubing look really cool! I may have to do that after all!pirate:

OH I have two questions... Why with a travel agent.. I need a discount.....the travel agents here have no discount.

http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/signs046.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) Glad to have you with us! You will find we are a very friendly group!!

As for a TA... I used one because based on the category I booked, I got a $200 discount from DCL and my TA matched it! So... getting on the ship I'm $400 to the good right from the get go! PM me if you'd like a name!

http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/greet009.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) Hey everyone else!! I wish I could say the work week is over for me... but I have to go into the office tomorrow! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/greet013.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

I can't wait until Mid-April when my assistant returns :yay:

I also signed up to be the Committee Chairperson for Noah's Tiger Cub Scout troup... WHAT WAS I THINKING??? http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/shocked003.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

So... good to see we have another unsuspecting family joining us! We just keep getting bigger and better...

PJ - thanks for keeping us organized!

PJ, I just read lbgraves' trip report and it looks like y'all had a blast! I'm hoping we can live up to that bill!

PS I'm still looking for our team mascot. It might have to be a Captain Jack Sparrow. I dont think I can top Bobby the Banana! pirate:
