All the planning, all the "Momma, we need to add this to the Santa list... ", tracking Santa last night on radar (Thanks Paulahttp://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/girlpower.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)) and it's OVER?

I think I'll be opening the toys (taking off the dagnabit "security" devices) until New Years!http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/furious.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

I hope everyone had a magical Christmas morning! Did y'all watch the parade?http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/groupwave.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Worked 3rd shift last night, so Christmas just happened here. Got a new umbrella, new briefcase, and long-sleeve spf-40 shirt from DW (for kayaking, and perhaps tropical conditions). Indoor/outdoor weather station, exercise top, kayak gear, and swiss army knife for DW. Oh, and Santa brought us a new digital scale! :rotfl2:

Oh, the weather outside is raining,
But for sure, we're not complaining,
'Cause with PennDot we can't go,
When its snow, when its snow, when its snow.

If there's just a slight of coat of snow,
We ain't going out in the storm,
For they can't drive their cars quite right,
When the conditions aren't norm.

It reminds me of a stuffed "smiley face" :) that my staff bought me on an old job. Someone kidnapped him and took pictures of him all over the Detroit area. They were so convincing with the initial ransom notice that they hung on my door in the office that the President of the company called the police... thinking I had been kidnapped! :rotfl:

OMG PJ! That is hilarious! It looks like one of those bananas you can win at the fair here. Our fair is the first week in October. I'll probably spend half of my cruise money trying to win the stupid thing! Sometimes I think it'd be easier to slip the carnie $20 for the stupid prize! Or I could just ask to see it and run pirate:

1) I lead the way when we set sail,
Without my broom, without a pail.
I watch for beach or hidden rock,
I am the first to reach the dock.

2) Below the deck, above the sea,
You'll find the place where I would be.
Gliding on my water craft,
You'll find me not if you look aft.

3) Brave fisherman of yesteryear,
To honor them I wear their gear.
You'll see me as you board or leave,
There is no water up my sleeve.

4) I'm in the ship, not on the deck,
Now look up - don't strain your neck.
With a microphone and tails - I look quite dapper,
I am the mouse, not the quacker.

5) I see you enter, I see you pass,
As Captain here upon the glass.
If shopping then, would be your pleasure,
Come on in and find a treasure.

6) With telescope as tool to search,
A sailor's nest in this crow's perch.
If candy or trinkets you have in mind,
Come on in - see what you find.

7) Look upwards at the points of light,
And you will see a familiar sight.
Located where the children play,
It looks like night when it is day.

8) You will see my hands to steer the wheel,
Where the young ones come to laugh and squeal.
Imagination makes this trip,
When you play upon this ship.

9) Glamour, beauty, stars and passion,
Dressed in gold, I am in fashion.
See me once and you will know,
I represent a "reel" good show.

10) Time for a swim - take a ride,
I'll lend a hand then, as you slide.
While in the pool I think you'll smile,
When you see my grand profile.

11) My name you'll see upon the door,
But it's the name I had before.
When I was drawn in black and white,
My first time on screen with light.

12) Up, up and away
On your way to play,
You'll see my gal and me
Looking outward to the sea.

13) On the wall - right in your room,
Am I a fixture or cartoon?
If a book you'd like to read at night,
Turn me on - I'll be your light.

BONUS
I cannot be found aboard the ship,
But at the onset of this trip.
Suited up in scuba gear,
With air tanks full - so have no fear.

And the answers? Well, you'll just have to find them on the Disney Magic!

As the new year begins, I am going to look into the linked dinning plan. I have a person who organized our group of 210 on my last cruise and it worked out that early seating had the latest early slot and we were seated at the tables along the far right of the dinning room, worked out really well. We have lots of time, final numbers have to be handed into the Dinning Manager one month before cruise time.

So if people would like to PM me with which seating you are assigned (or your current assignment and wish for a switch), your cabin, first names of each person in your party with ages, and if you are interested in linking dinning with the group.

This does not mean you will be at the same table as everyone else in your seating, but it will let us be seated near each other and group families in desired tables. We also may be able to request a particular rotation for late and/or early dinning groups.

Also please think about participating in the DIS T&T trail, should take about 45 minutes on the night of Halloween. We could also do it as a treat drop at each room that day or over the whole week (we did a goodie drop over the week of my last cruise, very fun to see what was left each day!)

Also do we want an offsite web page to co-ordinate activities, dinning etc?

Pj

I am not your leader, I just have access to a leader (aka empress of the green people, she has a button) who will lead me, lol :rotfl2:

I'm one of the few with late dining though... it may be too late for us to change but add Noah and I to the list of being linked. I'll send you a pm with the info.

Also, we'd love to hear more about the extra special activities for Halloween that happened on your past cruise! We need to revisit the t-shirt idea and get that going.... I can't wait!!!!!!:cool1:

Kim1,

on the move from late to early, we had over 40 people moved from late to early at about the three month out mark this year. If there is a large enough group it can happen. Actually anyone in our group who wanted early, even after DCL closed it, was moved (if they had been paid in full) to early as they were linked with the rest of the group. And we were able to chose our rotation as well! it looks like PLA is the best one this time and sit early dinning at 5:45, what do you all think? This would put us in Lumiere's for Formal night and AP for Semi-formal night, and Parrot Cay for Pirate Night. Sounds great, eh?

This sounds very interesting. If the rotation began PLA, would it be: PLAPLAP? Is that how it repeats/cycles? Also, which events (formal, semi-formal, Captain's Gala) are which night? We've never been on a 7-night. Do they change the event schedule because of Halloween?

Sean

Sean, yes that is the schedule for dinning rooms. Formal is second night, Semi-Formal (Captain's Gala) is on the second last night. Then Pirate Night is on the fourth night.

Eastern Caribbean:

Saturday
Casual
Rotation

Sunday
Formal
Rotation

Monday
Casual
Rotation

Tuesday
Pirate Theme

Wednesday
Casual
Master Chef

Thursday
Semi-Formal
Captain's Gala

Friday
Casual
Till We Meet Again

I will have to check on the whole Halloween thing, I know that it does not change the dinning rotation, but with the pirate deck party it might, but I think all the Halloween events happen early in the evening.

Babs, we have over 100 people linked in early seating my last cruise, lol. We had some families that were your size, others that were smaller and then just me, a solo.

Each dinning station is made up of a 4 top, a 6 top and an 8 top, for a total of 18 people per serving station. I could see your group at a combined 4/6 tops for a table of 9.

We only have one solo in our group so far, lol. Ronnie (rer1972)

Pj

To Everyone, if you are interested in linking (we have lots of time to figure it out,) it would be interesting to know if you wanted a small table (ie two couples at a 4 top,) or a larger group (3 couples, or two families.)

How is this for a design for our t-shirt?

Link to our T-Shirt design #1 (http://customink.com/cink/r.jsp?E=kimmielee%40comcast.net&F=kimmielee4)

I need to tweak the spacing, etc... but you get the general idea... as shown, if we order 35, it's only about all the shirts are between $7 and $10 a shirt to get them all sent to me, then postage to you guys but I can't imagine that's too expensive....

The site is customink.com. Anyone with a creative bone, have at it! I'm not the most creative person!

Oh tshirts....cool. I like #3 & #4.

I haven't had time to read back through all these pages....I hope to get time to do so but there is this little thing called work getting in the way. :lmao:

We will probably stay with late dining...we really liked that last cruise, but I sure do hope to get to do other things with fellow Disers. Any other plans yet that are pretty well decided upon? I saw a reference to a ladies Palo brunch & trick or treating for the kids.

Anyone else thinking of dressing up for Halloween? I have some ideas & would love to since it's my bday & all & last years navigator said there was an adult costume party.

Questions for those who have done the 7 night before?
1) Formal night???? Can you rent a tux on board..although my hubby isn't too keen on this & we have talked about going to Palo that night to avoid the whole very, very dressy up thing.
2) When is the afternoon tea usually offered? This is a must do for us because we seek out tea rooms where ever we go in our travels....although I am sure a fat english gent could fill me in on how I have probably never had a proper english tea...but I LOVE having tea!!

I am sure I will think of many more as we go along.

Melanie & oh by the way my DH is Eric. I will be turning 40 :scared1: on the cruise & DH will be turning 38 the week before the cruise.

1) yes tuxes can be rented, a very easy option for both semi-and formal night, get a white and black jacket and he is set. It is really not all that dressy dressy, he could leave off the cummerbund on both nights and use a tie for semi-formal night and Palo's.

2)High Tea is offered on Sea days mid-afternoon, but to experience Palo in the day time, you really want to book brunch (Sea days 10:30 and -11:30 seatings), it is fabulous! You can get tea at brunch! I have done the high tea at the GF resort and it is way better then Palo's. Palo's is a nice event, and as we have three sea days, why not.

So, who is planning on getting a massage on the cruise? I want to try the rassul thing but i understand it's for couples. The thought of painting with mud sounds fun. Oh well, maybe one day!

We are doing the Party too, don't know which night yet. My only thought on doing it Friday night is that it is a really late night, and a really early morning to head to the port, lol.

I'm planning on getting Ethan to bed around 1130 and heading to the port at about 0930ish. I think it takes about an hour to get there so we'll have plenty of time. I'm not necessarily worried about being the first ones on the ship. I'd rather have some more sleep!pirate: And Ethan still won't have a clue we are going on a cruise!

We are thinking of flying down on Friday and doing MNSSHP and staying in Downtown Disney. Could anyone give me a bit more information on MNSSHP? Times/cost? We have always flown in the day of the cruise, but would like to come down a day early this time.

I haven't read the entire thread, but is there going to be some organized dis trick or treat? I read about the linked dining reservations and that is a great idea. Just curious.

We had such a great time on the Halloween 2006 cruise, I can't wait to be back on the 2007 one!!!! Counting the days, ALREADY!

You can't get into terminal drop off area until 10:00, so aim for 9:45 am to get to the parking lot and then drive over to the drop-off to unload bags at 10:00, then back to the parking, then into the terminal for 10:30 am.

T and T, we haven't decided on a T and T trail or having a Treat delivery method at each room, ie a pumpkin on our fish, etc.

Linked Dinning, I am going to learn the ropes of group linked dinning. And will co-ordinate our two groups both early and late. This does not mean you have to sit with strangers (us) but if you want to sit with people you have gotten to know here on the meet thread (us), you can be linked to sit in the same dinning station(s) as us. On my cruise this year, this helped those who where waitlisted for early dinning to be switched and we were able to chose which rotation we had for dinner.
We are looking at the the 5:45 for the early seating and possibly the 8:00 for the late seating.

First, how was the weather on the cruise? Is it warm on Castaway Cay?
Second, are you a razorback?
Third, just kidding. I think those are the most important questions for now!pirate:

If a bunch of us are going to the party it might be fun to meet up somewhere that night.

I am thinking of staying at WL the night before the party. Wonder what time they would pick us up & get us to port? This last time we didn't get picked up until 12:45.

Well, so far, so good. It's like going from DOS to Windows. And none of the data will automatically go from one to the other. All must be re-entered. We got through our goal units for today rather quickly. Everybody's ready for the big backfill tomorrow, then 0700 Sunday...flip the switch and see it in production. :surfweb:

We had the couples massage on our 2005 cruise (had the REAS). It was ok, but we didn't like the sales pitch at the end. Thanks to the DIS, we knew it was coming. Too many massages? I think not! I might get one of the chair massages. They had a station set-up by the adult pool on our cruise.
Palo: Hoping to do brunch and dinner. Can't recall if each stateroom can book one of each, or just one Palo.
Still trying to decide where to stay the night before the cruise. Currently leaning towards the hotel in MCO airport.

Hey, hockey fans: did you see the missed empty net goal from, I believe, the Dallas game the other night? Its been on ESPN and all the sports news.
Must go, DW is home. Time to cue up the ship's horn on the stereo!

A single stateroom can book one each of Brunch, Dinner and Tea, for up to the number of persons in the cabin. Also, if you book on line, the above order is the best method.

Hi folks! Please add 2 more to the roster.

Technically, we're not official yet. BUT, I did just buy the airfare and am in the process of booking our cruise. It's a sure thing, just a matter of time. We're also in the process of selling/buying a home this week so it's been a bit hectic.

We are SOOO excited about this cruise. We'll be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary :lovestruc the day the Magic is scheduled to be in Castaway Cay! How perfect is that?!?

So, it's just DH and I who will be 29 and 28 respectively at the time. We've never been on an eastern so open to suggestions there.

I LOVE the idea of the t-shirt (DH will grow to love the idea. He thought I was nuts talking about the DIS folks before our last cruise but thought it was cool to meet everyone because they all were so nice).

I'm totally excited about Halloween too. It's one of my favorite holidays and we never get trick-or-treaters. :worried: Count on me to be ready with some goodies if we do the T&T event. :thumbsup2

Since I'm new I don't want to step on any toes but I would love to help out. Like most people on these boards, I live for the planning. There was talk about setting up a group website to coordinate the information. I would suggest a google pages site or using google spreadsheets if there are lists we need to keep. I have an account and LOVE IT! If you'd like me to set up a collaborative spreadsheet that everyone can access let me know.

Also, is there anyway to maybe make dinner around 600 or 615? I hate being rushed when we come in from port. If we can't, I'll deal with it. Just thought I'd ask.

Hi everyone, I have been reading most of the previous pages and am excited to meet this great group.
I am another "Canuck"from the West. (near Calgary)
I have finally decided to book a cruise and go solo. My DH does shows no interest in going on a DC so I have decided I will go anyway. I am 40 yrs old and this will be my first cruise but have been to WDW a few times.
I love the idea of a ladies only Palo brunch, and the t-Shirl idea is great too.
I have requested late dining so I hope I can link up with someone else with late seating.
I am also thinking of flying in early to do the MNSSHP.
Not sure where I will be staying yet, never have stayed on property before.
Well, I look forward to reading more posts and keeping in touch.

:welcome: to the new people.

Let me ask a question.....we used DCL transfers on our 4 day cruise & like I said we ended up not getting to the ship until 2 or 2:30pm. Do you all recommend not using DCL transfers & doing the whole hummerzine or convoy thing???? We already added the transfers when we booked, but I am asuming that we could drop them if we wanted to? :confused3:

P.S. Love the CONVOY song Sean & Christine. :lmao:

Our first cruise was a 4 day as well. We opted out for the DCL transfer and I spent the extra money on a towncar for this very reason! We arrived at the port at about 10:30... walked right up to the desk... then straight over to get my son's ID bracelet for the club... sat at the snack counter had a coke while chatting with other cruisers... took pics with Mickey and Minnie... and we were ON the ship, in our bathing suits and at the pool by Noon. :cool1:

We had a #2 to board and they starting boarding the ship with #1's at 11:30, we got called at 11:45 and thanks to these boards knew EXACTLY where to go and what to do. It was awesome and the most fun my son had in the Mickey Pool because it was soooo not crowded until about 2:30 - 3:00!:yay:

I feel the extra money was well worth the arrival time and starting our cruise earlier than we might have!!

Hi everyone
I guess we will be joining you on the Disney Halloween cruise :yay: :yay: :yay: . We did the last one in April and absolutely LOVED IT! This is somewhat of a suprise we are going again so soon, thought it would be years but DD's Birthdays are on Halloween so I thought what a great time it would be for them to go on their B'day. They will be 6 , DD McKenna and DD Holly , myself DH and my parents will be coming along.

Kimmilee , we have been thinking the same thing because we also arrived very very late to the ship about 2:30 .

Which... REMINDER to everyone if you are thinking of rebooking while on board be sure to add the deposit money to your budget!!!!

I thought the extra funds spent on the town car were worth it to arrive so early. I had read so much before we left on our cruise and this was one of the things that really stuck with me. Our carryon bags had our suits in them... and we were ready to go. It was awesome!! :cool1:

I found you!! This is my first time on this forum, I have used AllEars.net for years and since I live in Florida I am a seasoned Disney-goer. This is however my first DISNEY cruise, my husband and I have cruised other lines and have never brought our DD, who will be 8 when we cruise in October. This is a special cruise for me because it will be a reward for losing 100 pounds (through sweat and tears and an awesome personal trainer) I am incredibly excited and a very thorough planner, glad to see others are already on the ball. It will be wonderful sharing the excitement with you!!

Congrats Pam , the last board I was
on we all did the count down of pounds till we left :)

BABS , we are Eagles fan also , well they are not exactly our team but Mcnabb went to school here in Syracuse so we have followed him throughout his career. I, sad to say or admit am a Dallas fan and wow that was such a disappointing game :( . I hated to see the tears  in Roma's eyes during the post game interviews. DH LOVES Pittsburg , I actually have another name for them which is not appropiate for the boards :teeth:

Good Morning all! Hope everything is going good with you. I started my workout program last night by doing the body sculpting part. Pisses me off because I used to be able to do 20 push-ups with no problem and now I can barely do 10. AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! But, alas, I'm on my way! Today we start a "water challenge" drinking our 8 glasses of water. If y'all only knew how much I despise the stuff unless I'm swimming in it. When I lose the weight again, I will never ever go back. It's just too hard to lose it again!

Chris, have you gotten your DVD yet? I have no idea how long it takes to get there.

Hi Kimmielee, which sailing were you on ? Ours was April 29th.

Ours was the 23rd 4 night. My son LOVED the clubs.... he was 6 then. It was an amazing vacation for us. We did 5 nights at the parks, then the cruise then another 3 after.... 12 days in all. Now I've spoiled him because that was a "once in a lifetime" trip... due to cost, time off etc. I just told him I'd take him to Chicago for a long weekend in April and he said... "Momma, is a long weekend 10 sleeps?" I'm in trouble.... lol:lmao:

"I have about 100 questions for you!
First, how was the weather on the cruise? Is it warm on Castaway Cay?
Second, are you a razorback?
Third, just kidding. I think those are the most important questions for now!"

Our weather for the Halloween 2006 cruise was near perfect. Warm enough at sail away for swimming, little rain on one of the sea days but not long enough to disrupt anything, hot hot hot and sunny in both St Thomas and St Maarten and coolish morning but great afternoon at Castaway Key. The water at Castaway Key was cool when you first got in, but once you'd been in a while it was fine.

Am I a Razorback???? ABSOLUTELY-They'll tar and feather you if you live in AR and don't worship the Hogs!

We are really looking forward to the cruise!

And to Kimmielee-Yes, family will be accompanying me (DH and DD who will be 7 when we cruise). Thanks for adding us to the list.

Ok, Mel (is it ok to call you Mel?)

Are you transferring from WDW to PC? If so, I have no clue how it works on Saturdays for the Magic, lol.

Are you transferring from MCO to PC on the day of the cruise? Then it is easy and you can arrive at the port as early as 10:45 or so. The first bus leave MCO around 9:30 am. :thumbsup2

I was suppose to do a WDW to PC to MCO this last cruise, but was offered a ride in a rental car, then they ditched the car to take a ride in the hummerzine, so I hopped on the hummerzine too.:cool2:

Pj

PJ we will be transferring from WDW to Port. I am starting to rethink the transfers because of the late arrival to port that we had this last time. We might have to do a town car or something. Will Disney let me cancel the transfers if I decide to?

Also, I prefer Melanie....I hate saying that but Mel always makes me think of Mel from Mel's diner on Alice.

Welcome to all the new sailers that have signed on....woo hoo we are going to have a great group.

Babs, I just began to eat healthy. NO SUGAR,ENRICHED FLOUR(white),SALT, NO PARTIALLYHYDROGANATED WHATCHAMACALITS... as Little PROCESSED foods as possible. I also joined a health website which tracks my food intake and helps with nutrition, exercise, and support

Just eat good food, fresh and yummy!!! I do use Splenda for deserts. I also work out with a trainer 2 x per week and do at least a 30 minute walk everyday if not some other sort of exercise. I also drink over 100 ounces of water a day. My trainer says it is ok to use the flavored water powders ( crystal light) as long as it is for only half of your water consumption. ( really because of the concern of the use of splenda, sweet n low etc...)

Good luck to you!!! I have not lost the entire 100 pounds yet but am using the cruise as my encouragement, motivator, and WHOO HOO you did it reward !!!

Hi Vital , i am so with you on the water bit, personally I think it was made to swim in or take a shower in. THATS IT ! oh or maybe with a splash of Vodka

My parents and ourselves decided to go 2 days early now and stay at the resort first. My Dad worked for Budweiser for decades and gets free tickets to Sea World now even into his retirement. Plus I think they will be more at ease if they don't have to worry about plane issues arising. I am booking at All Star Movies resort, but this means we are going to have to transfer over to Caribbean or one of the other resorts to get to the cruise line. Hopefully it won't be a hassle.

I also wanted to say thank you everyone for the warm welcome :goodvibes

Have to add my picture of the day.Castaway Cay.

Chris... you'd be welcome in KY at anytime! May is a beautiful time to visit there too... not too hot, flowers are in full bloom. My Dad lives on top of a mountain. He had to fence in his yard so Noah wouldn't roll off when he was younger! :rolleyes1

I have a really quick question .Is anyone dressing up for Pirate night or Halloween? I'm sure it has been covered already been I still haven't had a chance to go back a read all the posts.
I wore this on the last cruise and absolutley roasted in it so I think it is staying home this time. Oh , the girl to the left was part of a wonderful group we met on board that were part of the Make A Wish Foundation, their son who was 4 had cancer, he was so precious. Yes, she had a few too may that night, courtesy of DH and I.

I fixed your pics. Had to save them to favorites and then they showed up on the board! Strange! Anyway, I also get a lot of sun like that when I'm on a cruie and have some proof *if you know what I mean*. I look at each new line as a testament to the fun and exciting life I've had! I point to a line by my left eye and say,"I got that one in Aruba and the on one my right eye I got from St Maarten." Working as a nurse I've seen people of all shapes and skin conditions. Never have I heard someone on their death bed wishing they didn't have some lines/wrinkles! Don't get me wrong, I don't want to look like and elephants behind, but I'm not going to stay out of the sun and freak out if I actually get some *fun lines*. I prefer that term to sun lines!pirate:

:thanks: for fixing my pictures. I usaully edit copy edit paste right from Kodak Easy share. Guess thats not working anymore :confused3

O.k now for the gym thing. Our membership just expired but we are renewing it this month. I became too addicted to the gym and found myself there twice a day for too long. I dropped down to a size 4 very very quickly. I am a happy 6 now and will go maybe two or three times a week. I ate a funny diet to drop the pounds too. Yes , as much as I can't stand water I do drink plently of it. I have never been big, in fact I was more like that stick figure you all drew when you were in grade school.
I wish everyone the best of luck with their weight loss goals I know it isn't easy.:)

Have a great weekend . We are heading up to DH's side of the family for their Christmas in the Adirondacks this weekend. The girls can't wait to see thier cousins. OH yes a little trip to the Montreal Casino. Maybe we will win enough to buy a few rounds on the ship :coffee: , don't get too excited I mean coffee. HEHE

The Legend of The Seas was a little disappointing for us. We had a Junior Suite and I have to say when we walked in the room I wanted to break out a pipe, my disco music and get a gaint hair perm. Wow , the colors were a 70's yellow, orange and green with bedding that should have been retired 10 years ago.

The ship had some updates like the Windjammer which was nice, but I have to say there is NO comparison to Disney. Have you sailed Disney before? I think the entertainment on the Legend was the locals that were pulled of the islands to keep us content and to say the had shows. It was sooooooo bad! Did you enjoy the Legend?

But I knew, if I was ever brought in as a trauma, my days down there would be done :lmao:
The computer project I spoke of was a full upgrade to our computer system. Over 9600 medication orders were back-filled by us from the old system into the new. We continue to staff extra around the clock, as we get up to speed with the new system. Many extra days of work, but more $$ towards the cruise. And what does Mrs. do? :bride: She's a retail pharmacist.
Exercise-wise: Pilates today for the lady, while the gentleman put in 3.25 miles on the bike, with some lower body weights. Need to get back into the pool next week. :scared1:
Christine was looking at navigators last night. Things she'd like to do on the cruise: the ab class, Pilates class, stretching class, kayaking excursions, & fitness center first thing every am. And perhaps the butterfly farm :butterfly: Now considering Romantic Escape at Sea again on this cruise.
Time to go, I've got some sushi with my name on it. :fish: From a small restaurant, seating only about 30. The head chef had a babysitter when young who was a sushi chef. He really knows his stuff. We went to a class of his to learn to make sushi last spring.

Can you all tell I had the day off , this is my 3rd post today. McKenna was sick at school so our trip up North has been canceled not quite sure what to do with myself DH is asleep since he traveled back from DC today.

I have a few more questions or suggestions.

1. What night is formal night , I forgot?

2. Are we all planning to met somewhere on the ship the day we arrive?

3. I know they did this on the last cruise but unfortunatley I missed it. What do you think of the girls getting together for the Martini tasting, hey men you never know this could be your luckyyyyyy night :woohoo: Single men are more then welcome to find another single lady coming back from the tasting HEHE. Men can hang in the pub and pop down a few themselves. or on deck.

4. One of the cruisers we went with last time was able to book a get together Brunch for 14 or 16 people one day which was very nice , maybe we can do that.

Anyone have any other ideas?
I also saw they did an icecream eatting contest for the kids and the adults on one cruise, that looked great for the kids.

I heard on Halloween that there isn't many places for the kids to trick or treat so the parents got together bought some candy and put signs up on their doors and the stateroom numbers on a sheet for the kids to go to for about an hour. Not that my girls need extra sugar :hyper: :hyper: :chat: :chat: :hyper2: :hyper2:

Hi Vital . No far from low carb. I ate 3 yogurts a day just about, I had 4 deviled eggs everyday or some sort of egg. I ate lots of cheese. drank tons of water. I had Subway tuna salad on low carb wraps or tuna salads on wheat. I did this for about 4 weeks before we left on our last cruise and it really worked , I tried so many things and this seemed to do it for me. It seems to be a good balance between lighter carb and lighter fat , mayo has no carbs but yogurt does.

I would LOVE a whole bag of Doritos right now, that sounds so good for some reason.

Yes i did in parts,we had a Grand Suite with their being 5 of us and it's nice to have the extra room and it was nice not to have to fly to get on the boat either ( were about 280 miles from the port and i did it in 3 hours with no problem)but this is where for us Brits the problem start, you see we dont get the weather so Saturday is a right off,Sunday is STILL cold as we move down the Bay of Biscay and it wasn't really until the Monday WE felt are cruise had begun,we did the normal ports like Gibraltar,Monte Carlo and Rome (are favorite)and had a great time (as we always do)but once we set off for home we had the weather problems again Thursday afternoon the sun went in and that was the last we saw of it and we were on the motorway home by 7.20am saturday morning so what should have been a 14 night cruise was at best a 10day if not 9 day holiday and that's just way to short for us:rotfl: ...

good points...

no flying
no mickey strips
no customs (to lose my cheap cigs)
Casio (Hazel would put that in the list below :rolleyes1 )
cabin had a balcony which could have stood 30 people (or 10 Me's)

bad points

weather in and around are waters (any USA travelers cruising from the UK need to have their heads looked at,sorry)
too many coffin dodgers ( i never went anywhere need the ball room NOT EVER:scared1: )
the UK'S have and the have nots dont mix very well unlike on DCL were the size of your wallet means zippee (in most cases)

Jess came out with the best comment when trying to compare Cruise's "dad you have to remember when your on the "Madge" everyone loves Disney and on here everyone has a different reason for being onboard"

ps...I still haven't paid them the $4000 i ran up on charge during the last few days of are cruise....:woohoo: but I'll save that little beauty until we cruise together in October....:rotfl2:

o.k thse are my favorates:
Fuuny you say coffin doggers, We did the Costa cruise and that is exactly what was on the entire ship . There was noone under 60! I will say thou they LOVED the humor they must have found in us since most days I would get up and walk around the ship and give a little squeaze squeaze to all the naked men statues and go on the deck wrapped in my toga sheet from the bed. Hell there was not much else to do to entertain myself :bored: . The first time I did grabbed one of those naked statues they were all rolling on the floor , we did seem to make many friend with the cool but old ones rather quickly.

So we should leave our drinking money home? :rotfl2: :confused3

Hi PaDisneycouple, we didn't take part in any of the classes either for the same reason . I know you can sign up for most classes right onboard. I honestly can't remember if you could on-line. Let me know if you get any information on that . I tried the eliptical and I think I was making myself sea sick  , the boat was swaying one way while I was trying to go another.

Coffin dodgers! I almost spit my fake coffee everywhere! :lmao:

My first cruise was a Costa cruise way back in 1989! My grandparents paid for all the kids and grandkids and spouses. I had fun b/c it was my first cruise and I was 18. There were a lot of young people on that particular cruise for senior trips and such. We rocked the dance clubs at night. In fact, the last night I almost missed my ride to the airport b/c we all drank too much champagne and slept in one room with no alarm clock! I woke up and my sister had crammed all my stuff in suitcases and was making up things to the family about where I was! Nothing like flying home with a champagne hangover! I will say this, Costa has the BEST food I've ever had on a cruise! It was like eating at a 5 star restaurant every night. It was an Italian boat and our waiter called all of us Bella which I thought was strange until I found out that meant beautiful in Italian!

As far as exercising, hand to mouth and using stairs will be my main form. Also water sports will be my aerobic exercise, well, that and getting my pic made with Captain Jack Sparrow. He always makes my heart rate go up!pirate:
