Holy Cow! I got post number 1000 and didn't know it! WOOOOHOOOO! :cool1:

Hey Kim, I say we adopt this guy :cool1: as our cruise mascot. I plan on doing a little of that and some of this :drinking1 . Oh I can't forget this :sail: on our snorkeling excursion. Or this :hyper: when we are about to board. What about this :headache: after a night of :dance3: . Then we can't forget this :upsidedow when I'm breakdancing at the sail away party. Oooh, and :rotfl2: when we meet Chris! And plenty of :beach: . I hope I don't encounter ::cop: or pirate: unless it's my Captain Jack Sparrow of course! I'm afraid we'll all  when it's over.

Ok, now that y'all know my plans, I'm going to quit putting off getting on the treadmill now!

Went to the DCL site the other day, and started a "wish list" for our cruise. So, I'm assuming this doesn't do much, except help keep track of the things you want to do? Or, once inside 90 days, can I click on items in our wish list and be taken right to the purchase option (as opposed to having to find them elsewhere on the site)?
Sean

Wishing...personal training (DW loved her Pilates sessions), 12 metre regatta, kayaking excursions (have our own, and taken classes), and butterfly farm tour.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done this!

Good morning. Can't believe it is December already!

We are also preparing for a very windy & rainy day here in central PA. Flood warnings. We may need a Large Boat :boat: to get through this :)

Have a good weekend!

I have had a busy week! It took a couple of days to get back into the "school" routine after our week off for Thanksgiving! (And, whoever thought it was a good idea to give them a whole week off anyway? LOL) We've gotten all of the Christmas decorations up, now I get to spend my days making sure that Braden leaves them alone! We are now minus 2 Christmas snow globes! :rotfl2:
I hope to finish up the rest of my shopping this weekend. Then I can tackle the wrapping! I have no idea what I'll do with the wrapped presents, since I KNOW that Braden won't be able to leave those alone either!
Oh well, at least it finally feels like the holiday season around here! Yesterday I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, today I wore yoga pants and a fleece! Woo hoo! Finally some nice cold weather! It makes me feel much more festive. It's hard to get in the Christmas Spirit when you're sweating buckets! LOL

Oh my... isn't he a slice of heaven??? If you get him for Christmas you BETTER be bringing him on the cruise!!

I spent the morning at the dentist... then ran around like a chicken with my head caught off trying to get everything done for the baby shower I'm having for my co-worker/assistant tomorrow.

I bought red and white candle holders (they hold tea lights) and Bath and Body Works that are soooo beautiful. I'm putting one red and one white on each table with a poinsetta in the middle... I think it's going to be so pretty. She's not a "girly girl" and wants a very low key shower. The hall that I rented has a fireplace too! It should be perfect since it's so cold here now!

Ok, off to wrap and gather all my stuff... Everyone have a GREAT weekend!

We have a SERIOUS problem here. I got the new Disney planning DVD in today. Ethan and I were watching it and he's asking when we are going back. I said,"I think we should do a Disney cruise before we go back." He just looked at me and said, "NO!" I had to think quickly and spurted out, "When you decide you are going to ride Tower of Terror, Rockn Rollercoaster and Space Mountain we will think about going back." He said he was going to think about riding those again so we can hurry up and go back. Then the water parks come on and he's all yelling he want's to do that and that and this and that. Good grief! Now I'm going to the cruise site and ordering a cruise planning DVD and forcing him to watch. I really think he'll be OK going on a cruise when the time comes. Since we are going to WDW for one day before we cruise I'm scared he'll get mad when we leave and go to the boat. Now, don't forget the trip is still a surprise to him. Please give me some advice on how to deal with this without telling him what my plans are! Do you think I should skip the day at WDW just to make sure he's going to be happy with the cruise or should I chill since it's still so far away? pirate:

Noah flips back and forth as well. It isn't a surprise to him and I've explained that we could NEVER go to Orlando and NOT go to WDW, even if it was for the cruise. He's happy with going to WDW for 1 day/night before the cruise. So much so that I bought our plane tickets already (I only booked a one day basic pass to MK) and we arrive at about 1:00 and the first thing he wants is the POOL! That first night we'll do DTD and go to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's... then on Friday we'll go to MK during the day.... have dinner there (we need to coordinate our dinners Paula!) and by then Sarah will join us and we'll do the MNSSHP in costume! :hmghost:

Don't let it discourage you and don't try to change his mind... just tell him that you guys will return "someday" and leave it at that. I'm hoping Noah will be ready for the bigger rides too! Perhaps they can buddy up and do them together for moral support!

I wouldn't ruin your surprise either.... by the time he realizes that you are going to Orlando... ANY vacation involving Disney will be cool. :cool1:

I changed our Poly ressies to before the cruise instead of after (thought I better do that since I booked our flights!) and added the Dining Plan... I'll cancel if I decide not to do the Character Dining... otherwise it's not worth it for us.

Right now I'd like to have dinner on the 25th at Chef Mickey's and I'm hoping to have dinner in the Castle the night of MNSSHP on the 26th - how cool would that be while they transform the park? Anyone have dinner there yet? I need to go read the Dining Review board.... :surfweb:

I booked our towncar, calculated our priority seating dates for the 2 days at WDW and have started to review the excursions.... :cool1:

Here are some projections, hoping I got them right:
105 days from cruise: 7/14/07 Saturday REAS & Suites
90 days from cruise: 7/29/07 Sunday Castaway Club Members
75 days from cruise: 8/13/07 Monday First Time Cruise Members

10/27/07 is the 300th day of the year.

Next schedule airing of DCL on Travel Channel: 12/14 at 1900 Eastern. Based upon web site data. But, I always scan the TV Guide in the paper each week. Disney Food for the Holidays on Food Channel 12/3 at 1800.

Kim-I wish I could get the car decal but it sticks from the inside and I have tinted windows. Oh well. I had one on the outside of my Maxima and when we left the car at the lot Ethan piped up and said, "oh well, we'll just have to go back to Disney and get another one." Smart kid! I'm still up in the air about where to eat the Friday night before cruise. Do you want fancy or normal? If we stay at WL, y'all could come over and we could eat at Artist's Point and ride the boat back to MK. The MNSSHP starts early though so we'd have to go back to room, change, eat and get back over there by 430 I think. Maybe we should just change early and meet back at MK for an early dinner. Boy, you can tell I had a cappacino*sp* can't you? :goodvibes I know we have plenty of time to decide.

Our sitter is flying in that day. She'll get to the hotel at about 2 - 2:30 .... so we'll need to go back to the Poly to meet her and change... Based on her arrival time, it's probably best to have ressies in MK or one of the MK hotels?

4/29/07 is our ressie day.... Ressies are available for the Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Tony's Town Square and Cinderella's Castle... Or we could do Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary... Lots of choices, more than I can think of after waking from a nap! :cool1: I think it's safe to make dinner ressies at 4:00 or 4:30 and by the time we are done the park is open for MNSSHP!!

I've been doing research on Cinderella's Castle for the "Dream Come True" dinner and it sounds wonderful... but I'll have the dining plan so it won't cost us anything... that may be a consideration for you. Not sure if it's more pricey than the other choices. Let me know your thoughts! We only have 4 + months to decide and make ressies! :goodvibes

Great info Sean!! :thumbsup2

The 75 day deadline is 8/13/07 to pay in full, but for those of us that have sailed before... we must be paid by 7/29/07 to make the 90 day ressies too!! My goal is to have the cruise paid for in full by 7/20 and the WDW portion by 7/6. Everything after that is spending $$$!

You better not wait until you are spoken to... you are so funny, filled with charm and I LOVE your stories! Both Paula and I owe you hugs!

If there is one thing I've learned... it's that this form of communication, whether it's text messages or emails... it lacks the human touch and can be misconstrued. So much so, to the point of ending perfectly wonderful friendships and even some potential romances... :guilty: I am going to be very careful going forward to avoid just that! :wave2:

Congrats on paying off your cruise! :woohoo: I just sat down this morning and did my budget. Only $200 a paycheck and one portion of a bonus check and I'll be all paid off by early July. AAAAAH. Nothing like waking up in the south with record breaking cold outside, NOT! It's 20 degrees here! BLAH! That's why I live in the south! I don't like cold weather. If it's below 55 at night it's too cold for me. Oh well, I'll sum it up with the comment E said yesterday morning, "Where's the snow?"
Me, "It's not going to snow"
E,"If it's this cold, it should snow!"
I'd have to agree with him. At least we could get something out of it! I'd like for it to snow Christmas and then be in the 70's for New Years and beyond! I know, I know, you can't have it all!

I hope y'all have a good day. Kimmilee, yes, you are enough dear. We'll just have to show these boys that the gals that are already here are enough! *We welcome any new gals also! You can't have enough potential spa buddies!* pirate:

How did my name get changed to Inevitable in Chris's post? :confused3 Thanks guys... you are stuck with me regardless! :rotfl2:

Yesterday morning it was cold... but no snow. Went to Target at lunch to buy some more Christmas Tree lights. Got back to the office at around 1:30 and the snow started.

It wasn't a blizzard or anything, kinda pretty for our first snow... big flakes, slowly falling to the ground... oh wait... as they hit the roads (temp was slightly higher than the ground) they began to melt but the outdoor temp was only 23 and it turned to BLACK ICE!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me almost 2 hours to go 15 miles to pick up Noah from daycare!

Good news: Jeep is still intact! :thumbsup2

Bad news: Christmas tree didn't get finished last night. :guilty:

Good news: Talked almost the entire time to my ex-boyfriend and we are having dinner again this Friday.... :flower3:

More good news: I now have plans for New Year's Eve! :yay:

Bad news: Ex-boyfriend but hey.... the guy is trying! I just keep telling myself that my Disney Prince is out there somewhere... has he been in front of my eyes the whole time? My staff refuses to hear anymore drama about the Ex... don't worry, you all will be there soon. (Need smiley that is throwing up here)

Good news: Going to a formal Christmas dance on Thursday with another date (not the Ex) so perhaps I'll be more prepared for the speech the Ex wants to give me! :confused3

Off to brave the roads again! I LOVE my Jeep!

I totally got the BC reference! :rotfl2: Remind me to tell you something about that on the cruise!

I'm so torn... how is it that someone can enter your heart so easily and then tear it up on their way out? I think the whole thing with the Ex is that he knows that someone else has a piece of my heart and that's killing him. As soon as I tell him that it's over with the other guy... he'll get his infamous cold feet in a month or two... that's his pattern. Friday, I HAVE to pick him up for dinner at his house because I *need* to see his Christmas tree and he has presents for Noah!! He's never bought presents for Noah before. It's a ploy to get me on his turf...

Ok, enough about that. I had to tell my staff today that I'm going to have surgery on the 19th and might be out as long as 6 weeks. The timing couldn't be any worse. My right hand at work is my team lead and she's due to have her baby on Jan. 7th! She's going to pop at any time... so my team loses me and my right hand (possibly). I've been scrambling to train some of my senior people to prepare. I won't know until the surgery is over if it's a minor thing or if the Dr. had to do the major thing... it's stressful, worrying about Noah if I'm down for that long... and worrying about my team. I think all the man troubles are a God send to keep my mind off the "real" issues. Ya know? :confused3

So... Noah wrote a story in his creative writing center (something new they are trying in the first grade) and it's all about the Disney ship... our first cruise and how he can't wait until the next one. He drew a picture of the ship. It even has the basketball court on the top deck and shows Noah and I on our verandah.... Mickey's head :earsboy: on the stack... I was so amazed at how detailed it was!

Ok, enough of my dribble tonight...

I have been thinking of coming on this cruise. However, I really can't make a final decision until July 27th. That is when Space Available opens up for Cast Members. The price, for a verandah cabin would be $724 per person if there are two in the cabin of $1,158 if I am solo. This can be anything from Cat 7 through Cat 4.

We'd love to have you CF! You can hang around and get to know our wonderful group in the meantime! We are a lot of nice people that are crazy about Disney!

Paula - it would be awesome to wait together... I have the town car picking us up at 9:30 to get to the Port at 10:30. We did this last time and we were on board by 11:30 so the wait was hardly anything! Our ony "stop" was the side of the road for Noah to throw up... he was sooo excited and get's car sick sometimes! pirate:

Good Morning Everyone! I came on here yesterday morning to bump us, got sidetracked and never logged off!! :rotfl2:

Chris - no DVD, but I ordered a new one.

Paula - doesn't it feel great when your hair looks awesome? My hair is light reddish brown with golden blond highlights, long (past my shoulders), very thick and curled (manually, not naturally) and I have people stop me to ask who does my hair. It is such an awesome feeling! I haven't had long hair since I was in the sixth grade until after I had Noah....

Ok - went out with the ex for dinner last night. Then we drove in my jeep (first time I've ever driven him anywhere - he's 6"10') and found some awesome Christmas lights! There is a Catholic Prep School about 15 miles away that was just AMAZING!!! I'm taking Noah back there tonight.

I've decided that with the ex - it's a dance. The slowest dance I've ever done, but a dance none the less. He can't stand to think that I'm dating... and now he's worried about this whole surgery thing. I asked him if we would be having dinner and in our same situation when we are 70 years old. I also asked him if it was going to take me getting married for him to figure out what he wants. I truly equate our relationship to Carrie and Mr. Big from Sex and the City. Mr. Big fits him, for a nickname anyway since he's so flippin tall! ;)

So... this is a Noah weekend. We are going to see Happy Feet and then to Frankenmuth, MI (about an hour and a half away) to find the perfect "Nutcracker" for him. They've been learning about the Nutcracker story in drama class and he's so into it... :dance3:

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! :goodvibes

DW's birthday, today. So, I just gave her the presents. A share of Disney stock was something we've talked about for a while. I bought it back in October. Then had to intercept: the purchase statement, the next monthly statement (with the transfer/purchase on it), and then the share itself. The other item, sure to cause me to lose points, was cleaner for our kayaks. We bought kayaks earlier this year, after taking a class 8/05. Her's is bright red, and mine is yellow (both colors bought so we could be seen). They sit outside at my parent's Finger Lakes place during the summer, exposed to the sunshine. We both like the colors, and this stuff is supposed to prevent fading. Friends and family have commented already on how nice the boats look, and I want them to stay that way. The few "toys" we have, I like to keep clean and in perfect working order. You should hear what I go through to clean my Olympic-style rifles.. :rotfl:

Good Morning all!

We went to see Happy Feet yesterday... LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! Then we went to lunch and shopping for the first official "Nutcracker" for our family collection. Noah has fallen in love with the Nutcracker story and wants to start collecting them. :cool1:

Today is laundry day :laundy: Doing some shopping on the web.... :surfweb: and a little bit of work thrown in. :furious: I hate bringing work home but gosh it's been busy the past few weeks. Everytime when of my UW denies a loan I have to go behind them and sign off that I concur. I have about 35 denials to check today. Since we do about 200 - 250 loans a week, that's not too bad....

Happy Sunday everyone!

We're first dining. We usually have dinner around 1700-1730 at home. Works out great when dining out, most places around here are rather empty. To bed: 2130. To rise: 0530 (but on the weekends, we splurge and make it 0625!). Gotta get to the gym first thing!

I don't eat bread, just don't like it. I would DIE if I gave up sugar. I tried the Atkins diet one time and my co-workers told me if I ate some carbs they'd all pitch in and get me liiposuction b/c I was so moody! I limit my sugar for the most part. My son has decided he wants to be a Marine. He's only 7 so I'm hoping he'll grow out of that. He's wanting to start jogging so he can get in shape to "be a soldier"http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/transport032.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)so I'm hoping that will get me off my ****! Thanks for the encouragement! If someone who has 3 kids can make time, then I should be able to also! I'm running out of excuses!

Hey everyone thanks for the welcome back,

Cruise, It isn't Disney but I enjoy Carnival cruises. Kids don't like them so much but for about 1/2 the price I can live with it.

Weather was terrible, rained alot. Funny we went east same week the year before and it was wonderful. So hopefully going east the weather will be great again. We even missed a port due to bad weather. The one I wanted to go to the most. Costa Maya. Oh well just have to go back.

DH and DS might be coming along after all. DS changed what apprentership he wanted to take and now he needs a grade 12 physics which he doesn't have so he is going back after grad to get that course. They call it the victory lap. Going back after grad. So with the 1 credit and a co-op he will be getting that week off after all.....unless he changes his mind again :confused3

Oh well back to work, I have to catch up with you all. I feel so out of the loop.

Did we decide what day we are doing Palo brunch???

Nice to be posting here on a regular basis again. I am 99% sure DH and DS are coming. I am going to add them to my reservation anyways I figure it is easier to take them off then put them on.

We will keep early dining, we have 5:30.

I have been so out of the loop I have so many questions? Who remembers when is formal, semi formal and pirates night?

Better hit the showers or I will be late for work.

Hey who is all on the lose weight band wagon for the cruise. I have about 30 to lose. What is everyone else aiming for?

As far as weight loss goes, I'm trying to lose about 20lbs and get healthy. I had a bad reaction to MSG Thursday and thought I was having a heart attack. My chest hurt, left arm was numb, lips were tingling and felt like I was having an out of body experience. One of the perks of working in the ER is that I had them do an EKG right then and it was normal. Wed I had to take a Benadryl b/c of the MSG in a Healthy Choice (ironic, huh?) and Thursday was a delayed reaction and I also had eaten some things that I'm sure had MSG in them. Anywho, I just got home from the local "organic" food store. HOLY COW is it expensive! I'm going to have to suck it up and eat only that for a week to see if makes me feel any better. If I do, then I guess I'll just have to cook at home all of the time. I'm hoping with my selections limited I'll lose a few pounds and find some energy to get off my **** and exercise! pirate:

Strep and the REAL flu are rampant here so I took him to work and had him swabbed. Nothing was positive so we have to ride it out. He was complaining of a bad headache so I gave him some of his pain medicine he had leftover from surgery last year. Now it's had the opposite affect on him and he's bouncing off the walls. Good grief do I need a vacation and a Coors Light! pirate:

Well, Ethan has the flu. Diagnosed him the same way I swabbed him yesterday in the ER. Must've been too early to catch. He is now on Tamiflu and I'm going to get some called in for me. He's asleep now and is so pitiful. The doc said that even though his flu shot was last Friday that he has a few antibodies in his system and this is actually a lesser case than what he could have. I can't imagine a "full blown" case if this lesser one is this bad. A lot of kids have had the flu and strep throat at the same time. I'm off to lay on the couch and watch TV. Nothing else really to do! pirate:

Good morning all! Thanks for the concern over Ethan. He's still very sick, but taking it pretty good. He had a melt down this morning. Didin't want to chew the Jr advil. He can swallow the adult but for him to get the correct dose he has to take one of each. So here we are at 430 in the morning arguing over advil. I told him if he didn't chew it I would have to put it in his butt. That pretty much ended that argument. I tried the Jr Advil and it tastes like baby aspirin, not bad at all. He remembers taking suppositories for a stomach virus one time and I have to bring out the butt card every now and then :lmao: . Sometimes it's not good to have a mom that's a nurse :teeth: .

Anyway, the sun is shining, temp is supposed to be 78 and I'm stuck in the house. Oh well, I have some cleaning to do anyway! pirate:

Good Sunday Morning to everyone!

Continued well wishes for Ethan :grouphug: ... his pirate book will arrive mid-next week. I wanted to send it with Noah "dedicating" it to him, but.... it was sealed AND Noah is getting the same book so I couldn't do it that way!

Hockeychic - I'm doing fine. I'm so glad you are back!!! A little nervous for this Tuesday's surgery but hoping that when I wake up they tell me they did the "minor" procedure... not the "major" one. If it's minor I'm off for a week, if it's major I'm off for xis weeks! :guilty:

Anyone that wants more up to date info on our Sailing Roster (kids names added, etc...) I will do so! I know I need to update the boys that are joining the "girls only cruise". How fun for you guys to have the entire family going!

Well, Noah's off to a birthday party for a couple of hours... just long enough for me to drop him off, run back here, wrap his Christmas presents from Mommy and then go back to get him. I have to get most everything done by tomorrow in case I'm down for the holidays! Now is when I wish I had bought a lap tap and gone wireless so if I'm out for that long I'd be able to keep in touch better!!!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

quick report - shuttle launch on Saturday night, i slept through it, really sad about that. great DIS meets all week, mini and large. server team was awesome! saved $800 by dropping to cat 12 (got a bump back to 11 next day.) the kids were awesome.
began the week with staff serving everywhere, thursday we had no illness on board, we began self service all over the ship.

It feels really weird to be here so late on a Monday. Ethan is recovering nicely from the flu. If you or your kids feel feverish and headache, go immediately to the doctor and ask for a flu test. If you get on Tamiflu it WILL shorten the duration. Ethan started showing symptoms Friday and I got the Tamiflu Saturday and he hasn't had a fever since Sunday morning. He'll be going back to school tomorrow if all goes well. That is an incredibly short flu duration!

I'm so looking forward to this cruise! I'm motivated to get off my **** and plan to start this afternoon on my search for the holy grail of hotness! :lmao:

I'll be checking in more than usual today since I'm home and don't watch soap operas! pirate:

Hi Paula, glad to hear Ethan is on the mend. My DD is home sick today maybe a touch of the flu, she babysat Friday night for a little girl who was quite sick and yesterday and today she has been icky as she called it. She could have been coming down with it prior as there is so much going around but just been icky yesterday and today.

I am so excited just wish I knew for sure if DH and DS where coming, you would think it would be easier traveling when they are older but it is so much harder. We keep saying we will just leave them home alone and DH and I will go. Unfortunatley they will only be 18 and 15 and I am a overprotective parent.....lol

I check in many times through the day, I am conntected to the internet all day so pop in all the time.

Actually, I'm from Upstate NY, originally. But somehow, I took a liking to the various Philly sports teams. While all the other kiddies on the bus had NY Giants hats, gloves, and jackets...I had on Eagles items. I don't play, but I've been going since I was young. Had a Hockey News subscription for about 20 years, now. Don't play, haven't tried to skate in years, but love to watch the game. Vast majority of the games I've attended were AHL. Fun to see them before they hit the big time: Ron Hextall, Pelle Lindberg, Ken Holland (Detroit GM), Tie Domi (Binghamton Rangers in the early 90's), Kovalev, Larry Pleau (St Louis GM). The team through the years:
Broome Dusters, Binghamton Whalers, Binghamton Rangers. Then I moved to Pa.
Now: Hershey Bears (Defending Calder Cup Champions).

I have a friend from IL who is a big Chicago Wolves fan, follows them all over. Even when they come up to play Toronto Marlies and Hamilton. I have to admit I don't follow AHL much except when my friends come up to watch the Wolves play. It is some great hockey.

Can't wait to watch the Jr's play over the Xmas break, now that is some great hockey.

A Happy and Safe Holiday to all. Soon it will be our year! DW had a fun thought for the DIS gang to do, but has been too busy to post it. I'll get after her next week. And we need to start picking everyone's 7-night brains about excursions and ship-board items to do.

The presents for DW are all wrapped, and I'm busy cleaning for everyone's arrival tomorrow. I think the price of gas went up again during this post :guilty: , so its off to get some in the car before it spins again...
