Ok guys... after MONTHS of trying to decide... I finally bought a new Jeep Liberty yesterday!! :cloud9: It's red, loaded and sooooooo pretty (as pretty as a jeep can be... :rotfl2: ) so ... my stressing over which model, when to buy, what to do with my old car, etc... Is finally over!!!
I kept my old car... I owe about $2500 more than it's worth so I'm going to slam some money at it, pay it down and then list it locally for sale. It's a great first "girls" car... :car:
Happy Halloween to one and all!! Just think of where we will be one year from now!!! :woohoo:

We spent 4 nights at the Contemporary in a Magic Kingdom view room. 10-26-30. Saw 2 other sets of DISers there with their LGMH. DW did a nice job making some into tags for us to carry. Thursday was parasailing and Downtown Disney, Friday was MK, Saturday-Epcot, and Sunday-AK. Crowds got pretty big over the weekend. But, that could be because our reference points are September-first 2 weeks of October. If I get some more laundry done and mail taken care of, I'll try to start posting reviews and more details.

Sean here. Where I work, we can book time off up to 1 year out (except special vacations). So, 11/2 being Friday next year, I submitted for 10/29-11/2 this morning when I got to work around 0545 (hence DW posting so early). I've been approved.

Congrats!! I may be the first one to book airfare... I have two tickets on Northwest for my son and I to fly to KY to be with my Dad over Thanksgiving. Now that I bought my new Jeep I'm thinking I'll drive and put those tickets toward our flights for next year! I'm just waiting for Northwest to open the time frame since they only book out 352 days. :surfweb:
We are definately flying down on Thursday night before the cruise and staying 2 nights at the Poly. Sarah (PinkTink07) will join us on Friday afternoon in time for the MNSSHP at MK!! :woohoo:

Good evening lady's,Had a real kick in the Goulash today while ringing round for flight prices. As the twins will be 13 when we set off they'll be classed as adults :rotfl2:and we knew we'd have to pay full price (gulp)for them for the first time BUT when she said "for the five of you the total will be £3900 (about $7500)" my chest started to Tighten and i started to hyperventelate BLOODY HOW MUCH? Has the USA moved in the last 2 years?,is it now off the coast of Australian or what...I have to say this came as a HUGE shock as the last time we came the flights cost about £1800 and even taking into account the kids being older it's still a HUGE hike in price IMHO...Oh well it's booked now so thier's no turning back..... :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hey Chris, see I finally learned your name, lol. I love your stories!
The airfare one has me spooked, is it always so expensive per person to fly to the USA? We have given up on flying out of Canada, way to many taxes/fees on a ticket, generally about 120% of the actual seat price.
Now we fly our of Buffalo, about a 1.5 hours away, and we pay less then half the price to fly, in newer planes.

:rotfl2: ...Im up for a "bump" morning, noon or night.... :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:
I'm still recovering from this bump! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
I've been really busy... my house has a fenced in back yard that was a LEAF magnet for the entire neighborhood so that took most of Sunday.... on Saturday I took Noah to see "Flushed Away" - for what I was awake for... I thought it was really cute. He loved. Don't shame me.... since I've been sick I can't hardly sit still for more than a few moments without falling asleep!
Back to work yesterday and it was a good day... last night I did laundry, read and... yup, fell asleep!! :confused3
I'm planning a weekend trip for Nov. 17th and wanted to go to Chicago but flights are outrageous!! I've went before for $125 max and now it's almost $300 - we might end up driving! A girls weekend shopping in Chicago... how cool is that? :cloud9:
How's everyone else?
I completely agree with Pj... Chris you ARE going to be our on board entertainment! :yay:

HER..."HI Chris how are things?"...
ME..."good,you"...
HER..."Better now you've rang sucker (i was'nt supposed to hear her say that)good, good great"..."

HER..."oh hell Chris it would be THAT week (only i can want THAT week every time i ring her)"
ME...."eh what week?"
HER..."it's Barbe doll week and the world poodle week that week so all the flights are VERY expensive"
ME..."my mate got them all for £2000 when he rang yesterday"
HER...."bet he rang between 9.25am and 9.27am and spoke with jill who was doing a special because it was her birthday and he was caller 27"
ME.."HOW MUCH?"
HER..."£4000"
ME.."THANK YOU"
HER..."oops i nearly forgot because your caller 678500 today i can give you free unlimited bottled water and free sick bags while on the plane"
ps...HER..."but only on the outward journey".... :teeth:

I've been sick and lazy. Check on the boards but too lazy to comment. Sad, I know but life goes on.
I'm planning a camping trip with the boyscouts this weekend to see the Blue Angels. I think we are going to stay in a hotel on the beach Friday night since we won't get there until after dark. I don't know how to set up a tent in the daylight, much less after a 4 hour drive and in the dark. Well, that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it! pirate:

Now, do tell us all how fantastic it was, excursions you took, etc. I need some motivation to look good in a bathing suit! pirate:

I just put down $130 for a tent, 2 air mattresses (we all know I'm not sleeping on the ground :teeth: ), a lantern and a flashlight. Good grief! This trip had better be worth it! I'm going to practice putting up the tent tomorrow afternoon to see if in fact it can be done! I don't want my first encounter with it in front of all the Tiger Cubs! Can't you see it ~~~~~~~~

Wouldn't my son be proud!?! :lmao: So, I'll be fighting with a tent tomorrow after work. Supposedly they are a lot easier to put up now.
Hope everyone is doing good. I may complain about camping, but at least I'll be at the beach! And watching the Blue Angels! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! pirate:

They are much easier to put up. Especially the fiberglass poles/bungie cord ones. Not sure if you are expecting any rain, but you may want to get some seam sealer and waterproof spray at walmart. Cost you about $5 total, but could save you :eeyore: from getting soaked.

Good Morning Everyone!!
Sean - you and Christine have way too many plans for this weekend... :rotfl2: I can't believe you can mow one last time! My Brother and I did my yard last weekend, raking, mulching, etc and then he mowed. You guys crack me up... there was NOTHING TO MOW! :rotfl:
Last night was fun... We saw "A Good Year" with Russell Crowe. It was a bit slow but a lovely sentimental story. Then we went to dinner at a local hang out here in town. There was a really good band playing songs from the 70's and 80's (right up my alley) and my friend and I had our drinks provided all night by some Canadian gents. :goodvibes It was fun!
Today is a DISmeet here in SE Michigan and then I'm finishing invitations for a Baby Shower that I'm giving on December 2nd. Tomorrow is church and then relaxing for the rest of the day!

The hoses are draining, DW is down at the auto dealership, laundry is drying, the irrigation systems are protected for the winter, valence is off the awning and stored, and now it is time to mow.

Hello all,
Just found this site. Extremely informative and at times hilarious. Family and I (DH, DS4, DS6) looking at the Oct.27th sailing on the magic. First Disney cruise. First real family vacation. Scrimping and saving. Thought the ages of the children would be ideal. Can interact with other kids at the club by themselves yet still innocent enough to experience the magic and awe. DH and I have been to WDW for engagement, honeymoon and vacation. We have also cruised before. Thought of doing the Disney cruise prior to WDW with the kids because the kids still aren't tall enough for all the rides. Wait until 2009 for that. (DS will be 9 and still condsidered a child). Looking forward to chatting with all of you and finding out hints and info. Until next time.

You are right... the kids are the PERFECT age for a cruise and many of us have kids that are around the same age! We are having a ball getting to know one another... by cruise time we'll all be like family! :goodvibes
NOTE to everyone... the ages are as of the time we sail..... if I have anyone's wrong please let me know!!

Oddly enough, I spent some time yesterday morning researching 10/26 hotel prices. Didn't know about this one, will have to check once back from the gym. We're debating between the port and the Hyatt at MCO.
Also plotted out our days to take vacation in 2007. This trip will cost DW almost 1/2 her annual vacation time. She's trying to get more. This was a factor in our recent decision to not go through with our SSR purchase.

I've had our before hotel booked since August 19th!! As soon as Disney opened the 2007 rates. We are staying at the Poly, coming in on October 25th (late flight) then spending Friday the 26th at MK and then staying for MNSSHP that night! :woohoo:
The ONLY thing I don't have booked yet is the town car to pick us up at the airport and then to take us to the port. Sarah (our friend/sitter) is coming in on Friday morning to join us at MK and then cruise with us!
Believe it or not, I'm waiting for November 16th to get here so I can book our flights. I'm exchanging tickets I originally bought to go to Lexington, KY but since I bought my new Jeep we are driving and turning those tickets in for our Disney trip!! Northwest only books at 352 days out... hence waiting until November 16th to exchange the tickets!
Nope, I'm not prepared at all... :rotfl2:

DM and I will be arrive at WDW on the 21th, and are staying at DVC, don't know which resort yet, but will book at SSR to start and then jump on a waitlist at the 7 month window. I would be really cool is the Villas at Animal Kingdom are available to book.

Christine here.
Sean is about to stage an intervention.
He thinks I am scrapbooking obsessively. I end a day with one last cut and paste. Recently when I awake the first thing I say to him is that I have a certain scrapbook idea, what does he think? :scratchin
I am now doing 2 scrapbooks simultaneously. He wants to see one completed first and can't understand why it takes so long. :hourglass I told him to talk to his male co-workers. I'm sure their wives scrap and it takes them a long time, too. This is not out of the ordinary.
I'm completely normal. :crazy2:

WOW! A lot of new folks while I was away! Welcome everyone!
OK, now for the low-down on the weekend.
We arrive in Orange Beach around 1000. Check in as planned. Same hotel I've stayed at before so it was like coming home. Sleep....sleep....ALARM! 0600!
We get to the campsite as the others are cooking breakfast I sit to read the instructions on my tent. I guess I looked really helpless b/c 2 dads came over and put it up for me. I notice that the sides are mesh with no zipper window covers. I'm told that they are made like that sometimes now. Then I see we put a cover over it apparently called a "rain fly" it covers the sides so I'm happy. I throw all of our stuff in there and off we go to eat. After we eat it's off we go to Pensacola Naval Air Station! To see who? who? BLUE ANGELS! We get there and park, no problem. If you've ever been to an airshow you know that a lot of things happen. This one is the 60th anniversary and there are some special planes flying. The older bi-wings make me nervous so we head off to look at all of the ones on display. We take some silly pics of us getting "sucked" into the engine of a cargo plane and things like that. I hear music to my ears being announced, "Now we will demonstrate an F-15 for you this afternoon." I almost scream like a girl at a Backstreet Boys concert! I have been in love with those planes since Top Gun! I grab Ethan and RUN to the runway. I hear it coming and almost cry I'm so excited. Now, I don't get really excited over too many things, but this is one of those things. It was freaking awesome. I'm glad I bought E earplugs. I don't like them, the noise is part of the experience for me. This plane is incredible. It screams by, Ethan ducks and I'm laughing like a mad woman. I look at E and say, "Now that's what I'm talking about!" and that becomes the phrase of the day. It does a few more things and lands. So we eat and go back to our chairs. We decide to go walking again and I hear some more magic words, "FA-18 hornet". Those are the planes the Blue Angels fly but not one of them. This is a solo. Let me tell you all about it :teeth: They (the pilot and navigator) take off almost vertically. I look at Ethan and he says, "That's what I'm talking about".
This plane actually hit supersonic and you could see the shockwaves coming off of the wings. Looks like vapor puffs and then a BOOM! OOPS! I thought they weren't allowed to break the sound barrier, maybe just this once. Ethan's face lit up. Now for the really exciting part, when they landed, there was a loud BOOM and the announcer comes on and says they blew a tire and have to do an emergency procedure. The pilot had to put the plane in the grass and spin it around to stop it before it goes out of control. I thought dude was going to flip the plane. He kinda did a spin in the grass like the burnouts after car races. Was kinda scary. That delayed the show for about 45 min so they could change the tire and get it out of the grass. I didn't realize it was dangerous until later. Not for us, for the pilot and navigator. Finally the Blue Angels fly and it was awesome as usual. When they were flying a cold front is blowing in and the temp goes from 82 to 57 in about an hour. Miserable. Did I mention the wind was blowing about 15mph. That may not seem like a lot, but when you are dressed for 82 and slightly sunburnt, it's cold.
On the way back to the camp site, Ethan decides he wants shrimp and I want a LOTTO ticket. We stop to get my ticket. I buy a LOTTO one and 2 scratch offs. I doubled my money on the scratch offs so I stop there. We go eat and head back to camp. I drive up and my tent looks like it's going to blow away. One of the dads comes to help and I'm not so sure about sleeping in it with the wind blowing like it did. We blow up the air mattresses anyway. Ethan has the idea to park the car in front of the tent to block the wind. Helps a little, but not enough. We go to dinner and I tell everyone if my car isn't there in the morning, not to worry. We will be at the hotel LOL! We try the tent out for about 45 min. It's getting colder and the wind isn't stopping. I wanted to try, but E looked at me and said, "hotel". I called my "home" and they only had 3 rooms left. Before I knew it , "Book it" came flying out of my mouth. I put all of our things in the car that I didn't want blown away and try to find someone awake to tell. Lights were out so we left. We stayed in our warm room watching football. I felt guilty, but E said it, not me :teeth: . The next morning we go back to camp to break the tent down and cook breakfast. Lo and behold, another family was right down the hall from us at the HOTEL! They couldn't do it either so I didn't feel bad anymore. Some of the wives said if they were without a husband they would've filled the hotel up! LOL! Yet another advantage of being a single mom :cheer2: .
We broke camp after breakfast, went to the beach and got a bucket of sand *don't ask*. We went to the zoo at Gulf Shores. If any of you watch Animal Planet, it's the "Little Zoo that Could". AP followed their rebuilding after hurricane Ivan and still film there. I was so hoping they wouldn't be there today, and they weren't. We got to feed camels, ducks, deer, goats and an unknown furry animal. We were able to pet a chinchilla, feret, snake, alligator and various other animals. We got attacked by geese b/c we were finished feeding them but they weren't full!
Gosh, I didn't mean to give y'all a play by play of my weekend. We had so much fun though! All of this and I'm off tomorrow for Veteren's Day.
I hope I didn't bore you with my minivacation!
Happy Veteren's Day to all and THANK YOU to any veteren and family reading this!

Sounds like you had a blast (literally). I love going to airshows. My dad and I would go every year. My two favorite aircraft that I ever saw fly were a U.S. Marine AV-8B Harrier Jet and the RAF Vulcan Bomber. Both very loud and very different from anything you usually see at an airshow.

I grew up in Hattiesburg! I live in the suburbs of Jackson now! I've been here since 1993. Gosh, it seems like yesterday. Welcome! Are y'all driving down next year or flying? I think we are driving. It will save about 500 bucks and that is our 2 night stay at WL. pirate:

Yeah, I think we will probably drive too. I would really love to fly, but it would probably add at least another $1200 with airfare and transfers. We just got back from Disney, and the ride home was not pleasant at all. I expected the 2 year old to be horrible, but it was the 7 year old that was a pain!
This is so cool to see someone that I think I know on this board! :cool1:

This is wild! We will have a lot to talk about on the cruise!
How long did it take you to get there? I'm thinking of leaving here around 2pm and driving straight through. We will be staying at the WL so we can be close to MK. My son, Ethan, is used to driving down to Gulf Shores and New Orleans so as long as he gets that portable DVD player for Christmas he'll be good to go. We were just in Pensacola last weekend and I was thinking it was a little under half-way! I know the drive home will be worse, but is it really that bad? pirate:

I'll have to tell Logan that he'll have a friend already on the ship! He'll be 8 when we cruise.
It takes us about 10 hours to drive straight through. It really isn't that bad as long as they are watching TV. I think this year was the worst because Logan has a real concept of time now. He knows how long 10 hours is!
You guys will have so much fun at WL. We ate there on our last trip, and it was really pretty. I would love to stay there someday, but I am too lazy. I love BW because we can walk to Epcot and MGM.
I think we will leave that Friday morning and drive straight through too. I am thinking of staying at the Country Inn and Suites and using the shuttle. People seem to like it.
We'll have lots to catch up on on the cruise, but we'll have to keep "talking" until then!

I'm going to do Noah's gifts for Christmas, :santa: some clothes for me.... and I know, don't shoot me... having dinner with the ex-boyfriend. He's so not an option but darn, hard to stay away.... Ethan wants Heely's, uh, no! He's clumsy enough as it is. Since I was picked to be in Indiana Jones' Adeventure thing at WDW he's been obsessed with it. I found an action figure online and got it. He's getting some Xbox games, DVD's, football players, a new bike and a portable DVD player. He wants me to go out and buy a "movie van". I told him that they cost too much money but I'd like one too. I was pricing Pathfinders with DVD in them and almost fell out of my chair! Being a single mom it's hard to spend that much on a car! I could do it, but we wouldn't be cruising next year, or until the thing was paid off, so he'll just have to deal with one that hangs on the seat!
I heard about the tornadoes! Glad y'all are OK down there. We had 2 kids flown to us that were in the house that exploded in Sumrall. Scary stuff!
Hope y'all have a good day! pirate:

I was wondering if you would know anything about the kids that got sent to Jackson. That was terrible. A friend of mine is the school nurse at Sumrall Elementary, so she knew a lot about it.
Logan wants Heely's for Christmas too. Haven't decided if we'll get them or not. He also wants a new set of golf clubs, some moon shoes, xbox games, and a bunch of other stuff. He's got quite the list going!
I've got a friend that goes to the auction for cars (you probably know him!) He got us an Expedition at a great price! We love it!

Good for you!!! Is it a movie/van like Ethan requested? :rotfl2: I'm headed out today to buy a portable DVD player for my Jeep for our trip to KY next week.
As for filling up the tank.... that was a shocker for me too. The tanks are bigger and the gas goes a little more quickly... but I LOVE  my new Jeep!!
Way to go Paula!!!!

No, it doesn't have the movie system in it. My ex-husband works at the dealership where I got it so he knows where to take it to have one installed. My child wants to have it mounted in the seat in front of him. He has some expensive taste! I wonder where he gets that from?
We are about to head to Starkville for the last home game of the season so I'll see how much I really like it. I made them give me a moment to say goodbye to my maxima. I had wanted that car since they first changed the bodystyle. I had it for 2 years so I guess I had my fun in it but I really needed more room with Ethan in the boy scouts now and wantint to go camping. I'm not scared to take the Pathfinder off-road. I bet it's going to be a little more comfortable when we drive to WDW next year! pirate:

Oh my gosh... I had an amazing day.... Noah's Christmas presents from Santa are all bought, wrapped and hidden in my Brother's attic. :woohoo: I bought him Heely's (I must admit... it's the item at the top of his list... I gave in)... a robotic dog (way too cute)... several GI Joes... Scene It - Disney version... and other gifts too. I had such a great day!!
I did manage to leave a few gifts for my family to buy him! :rolleyes1
I also bought a portable DVD player for our drive to KY next week. I think I got a great deal on a solid machine. Based on his age, the salesperson told me to avoid the swivel screens and the one's that go flat...
Dinner with the ex was interesting... I've always said I'll either kill him or marry him... and I'm not marrying him! :rotfl2:

Glad you had a good day "off" from parenting!
Mississippi State lost, but it was a great game. We are improving. We stayed tied with the number 5 team in the country until half time and then lost in the 4th quarter. I'm proud of them.
I took my "new" Pathfinder. WOW! Why in the hell did I wait so long to get one? Oh, the gas, that's why! I LOVE it! We had to park in an area that was kinda muddy and I wouldv'e been scared the Maxima would slide or get stuck. My Pathfinder went right in it and never looked back! Ethan loves it and keeps asking about the DVD mounted in the back of the seat in front of him. I going to get him the portable one that hangs on the headrest. I don't see any reason to spend $1000 for that when I can get a portable one for about $160!
I have to clean this house today and do some laundry. It's a short week for me. I'll be off Thursday but will work overtime as a staff nurse in the ER Friday. They are paying time and a half plus $10 and hour since they are so short. Talk about mooola! I'll be doing that until I get my room at WL paid off and of course the cruise. I don't want to have to worry about a thing on our vacation!
Have a good Sunday! pirate:

She had a run in with my cruise meet and now we are all frantically packing and awaiting documents. But our thread is not one to casually read, lol.
On the eastern cruise, save the island tours for do it yourself. Pick an active excursion or a beach visit if that is your speed.
I am hoping to do the speed boat in St. Marteen and just the Tram to Paradise Point in St. Thomas.

Thursday going to my Mom's about 1 1/2 hours south of here then coming back and taking Ethan to my ex-inlaws to spend the night. Friday getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to shop a little before I go in to work some overtime for the cruise. Saturday, rest and Ethan goes to his dad's. Sunday we are going to cut our tree. Just a quick check in to see how everyone's Turkey Day plans are shaping up! I've spent the first part of the day cleaning house! I'm hosting a Southern Living At Home party tonight for a friend of mine. (Really, it's just an excuse to get together and eat/drink/visit with my friends before all of the holiday chaos starts!)
We're doing Thanksgiving at my house on Thursday, so I guess I'll spend tomorrow doing some more cooking and cleaning.
No Black Friday shopping for me! If you can't find it on the internet and have it delivered to your door, I don't need it! LOL Actually, I'm going to be helping out a friend of mine who owns a gift shop on Friday. She's about 7 mos. pg. and most of her workers are off for the holiday!
I did some of my Xmas shopping online this a.m. too. I got what I think was a good deal on some Heelys at shoes.com. They were $60, but I found a 25% off coupon and got them for $45 with free shipping! Plus, Footlocker.com has a 2 for $89 deal going on some shoes. Dh and I are both getting new running shoes from Santa! Maybe I'll walk/run some of this weight off before the cruise!
EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING, AND BE SAFE!!!!!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! *insert Mission Impossible theme song*
I was up and ready to go at 0350. I drive up to Best Buy and Holy #$*#! The line is literally around the parking lot. That's OK, there's no line at Target and they have the same things I need on sale. I park and join the 5 others in line. I've never done this before so it's all new to me. We chat and get to know one another without mentioning names for 2 hours in 32 degree temps. Finally, the doors open and off we go. I'm running to electronics thinking," So this is what I've been missing all of these years!" I make a rush to the counter and ask loudly about the portable DVD players when I see the digital camera I also want. I tell the girl to throw me one of those so I can get to the DVD player. She was awesome and said, "I've got yours, go to the DVD players." I think I love her! When I get back to the counter, all h-e-double hockey sticks is breaking loose! "give me a camera" "where are those DVD players" "i need Play Station 3 (idiot, those have been gone for days)". The girl spots me and smiles holding my camera for me. I pay and am out of there in 15 minutes! I got a 9" portable DVD player and a Kodak digital camera 6.1 megapixels for..............drum roll please.......................................$209! !!!!
The camera alone would cost that! I'm happy as a pig in slop! Oh, did I mention that I was 6th in line? It was worth freezing my nads off! Now I just have to get a few more things and my shopping will be done. In case you are wondering, the camera is for me :teeth: . I dropped mine and broke the battery cover so it's been held closed with electrical tape for a while.
I have to go to work now. Hope y'all have a good day! pirate:

You have a busy life! Sounds great!
I'll be cleaning the house so I can put up my Christmas decorations. I'm going to take Ethan and my ex-husband to the Christmas tree farm tomorrow and cut our tree. It has been a tradition since Ethan was born. The last few years I took him alone, but now my ex and I get along well enough for him to come along with us. It will be special for Ethan to have his dad there. No, there is no way in he** that we are getting back together. Once you break my trust, it's not fixable. Just doing it for Ethan. Besides, it sucks to get down in the dirt and saw a tree :teeth: . I'll be able to throw it in the back of the Pathfinder instead of stuffing it in the trunk of the Maxima! pirate:

Chris is ALIVE!!!! :goodvibes I was sooo worried about you!! You are NOT allowed to vacate these boards without advance notice! :rotfl: RER - good job working with Scotland Yard! :thumbsup2
Paula - great haul on black Friday!! You did awesome! I, of course, was in the land of the lost down in KY. My Dad's small town has a Kmart. That's it. Kmart. Nothing else... it's at least an hour to drive to WalMart... and another 1/2 hour to get to civilized stores like Best Buy, etc... Since shopping is my Dad's LEAST favorite thing to do and Noah's shopping is all done, I didn't go shopping.
I spent quality time with my Dad. He's going to be 81 next Monday and he's doing great! I never believe it until I can see him. Older people tend to lie to their children about their ailments.... at least my Dad does.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (for those that celebrated) and for those that didn't - I hope you had a great weekend as well! I'm so glad to be home! :grouphug:

Well, I thought going to get a tree would be an adventure but it was actually pretty calm. The crowds must've hit on Friday and Saturday b/c the trees were slim pickings. I still found the perfect one though. There was a family with short sleeves on carrying sweaters when we pulled up. I wondered what they were doing. I saw them later putting their sweaters on with the kids comoplaining it was too hot. The mom yelled at them and said it was for their Christmas cards so they had to look cold. I wish I could get one of those cards! :rotfl: Other than that, nothing exciting. Oh well, I guess I can't have a big adventure everywhere I go! pirate:

Wow, don't look at the board for a week or two and live sure goes by.... I didn't think it had been that lone, but when I checked to see what date I read my last post on this board it was all the way back to 11/7!
Been busy - kids sports, girl scouts, mother's club.... you know, the stuff that keeps us all busy.... and work too.
Just spent the last 4 days decorating the inside of my house for the holidays. I live on a street where we decorate and have an official city kick-off lighting on December 10th - where Santa comes on top of the fire truck. It's lots of fun, but lots of work too. I'll figure out how to post a couple pics. We have over 50 big boxes of stuff for the inside and outside. I collect Dept. 56 houses and have about 60 of those to set up not to mention all of my disney stuff of ornaments and figurines - oh am I tired - and we haven't even started the outside!
Anyhow, hope all are well!

Went to the DCL site the other day, and started a "wish list" for our cruise. So, I'm assuming this doesn't do much, except help keep track of the things you want to do? Or, once inside 90 days, can I click on items in our wish list and be taken right to the purchase option (as opposed to having to find them elsewhere on the site)?

Ok, date update... Had coffee with eHarmony guy #1. Nice guy... computer consultant for various companies... has three daughters, the youngest is 13 and the oldest is in college. We didn't have any trouble keeping a conversation going but he's never been to WDW!!!!!!!!!!! Only DisneyLand! What? :scared1: Could that be a deal breaker? :rotfl2: Can I make a Disney Prince out of him? :confused3
We'll find out... Dinner on the 8th! :goodvibes :flower3:
However, after coffee, I met some friends (they were my backup dates... :rotfl: ) from work and there we stood... 3 guys, 5 women... 1 older than me and the other 3 younger (30's) and I got hit on! :cloud9: This guy, however... was a car salesman (a big no-no career in my book) and he smoked :smokin: (another big no-no). It felt good though... he thought I was 32-35!! I would have kissed him for that but.... :smokin:
