Alas, most likely not. I'm taking Sarah, our sitter and wouldn't want to make her uncomfortable with a man in the room! :goodvibes

I would suggest that Ronnie needs a roomate, but we never know who he might invite back to the love shack!

Well, I'm tired since my routine has become getting up at 445 AM and doing my exercises. I'll check back in the morning!

In an attempt to inspire me to exercise, Sean periodically reminds me "Vital gets up really early to workout". Last week I started a new routine at the gym (4 days per week). Now I'm trying to do Pilates at home on the other days as I have done in the past. It's difficult with it being dark in the morning and it's still winter up here. (we have snow from 2 weeks ago).:cold: Maybe when some of that warm Southern air comes our way I'll be able to stick to my routine. I saw a swimsuit in a magazine but the manufacturer does not have it on their website yet. If I can find out more about it and am able to purchase it, I will have much more incentive to exercise.:beach: So, off to bed for a good night's sleep so I can get up early and go to the gym :yay:

Gosh, I never thought I'd be an inspiration! I'll start blowing some warm air up your way so you can feel better. When our weather got warm, it was like a wake up call and I feel better! Maybe I was a bear in my past life and used to hibernate.

Well, off to watch Deal or No Deal! Maybe I'll win the lucky case game!pirate:

Can I just tell y'all how sore my whole body is? I had to take some advil before the workout b/c I don't think I could move afterwards if I didn't! I hope all you horses appreciate what the birds do to keep their feathers looking good! (not that mine do, but they will)

Didn't win the Lottery or Deal or No Deal so I must continue to work for now. Y'all have a good day!pirate:

Anyone who gets up at 445am to exercise is: 1. inspiring :worship: or 2. crazy :crazy2: (or both!:lmao:) I think Sean is really trying to use peer pressure when he says you get up early to exercise. He's up very early also. I hear him moving :tiptoe: about in my half-awake state and my mind is trying to figure out what day it is, what is that noise, what time is it? I started week 2 of my workout routine. After 4 weeks the trainer will change it to make it interesting for me (and my body) :Pinkbounc

By the way, I rescued us from page 2 with my previous post.

I feel obligated to comment on other topics so I do not appear self-centered.

Kimmielee-we have been following your dating and we're very happy for you :)

Woo-hoos: um, interesting...don't know what to say. I guess as a female I have no comment, only to say do the research and make the right decision for yourself. Of course, you know the birdwatchers will be eager to check out the new, improved feathers.

The topic of personal info: We don't have any for now, will have to think of some. Right now my goal is to get a picture of us posted (digital newbies--dont want it to be 4 times the size of the screen). Sean spends more time on the DIS so he usually updates me on the latest info. A fly on the wall of our house may wonder if we're talking about close friends or a TV soap opera, not some people we have never met ;)

Had some rough weather earlier, but all is well now. I have to help my child finish his derby car. I don't think he wants to race it, but we still need to finish it.

Every muscle in my body is mad as #$@^* at me for torturing them this week! I'm thinking of getting a bike so Ethan and I can ride some trails around here. I was looking on Speigal's web site and they have some awesome suits! I may get one and hang it up like that yellow polka dot bikini on the yogurt commercial.

I'm off for now, I'll check back in later!pirate:

Hey all!! We stopped on the way home tonight to get Noah a MUCH NEEDED haircut.... then to dinner.

Not too much going on around here. Noah can't understand why he can't go with David and I this weekend. I finally had to tell him that it was a restaurant (hmmmmm.... restaurant/hotel... ok, not TOO much of a lie) that doesn't allow children!! Oh... I'm such a bad Mom! :lmao:

Paula - hooray for you and the great exercising! :yay: I'm eating better... or is it that I have no appetite? Hmmmm... funny how a new relationship does that to ya!

Work is going really well... the other company's underwriters seem like they are a bit more settled and back to normal. I try to make an appearance in their area every couple of days - just to say hi, talk to people, answer loan related questions, etc.

Getting my nails done tomorrow and then Saturday... off to the restaurant that doesn't allow kids. I'm waiting for Noah to ask... "Mommy, why are you spending the night at a restaurant?" :rotfl2:

Paula, we heard about the tornadoes in Alabama. Hopefully your weather was not that severe. And hopefully it will not be too bad when hits those of us in the mid-Atlantic region tonight. We'll probably shut down the pc to guard against possible surges in case the electricity goes out.

You mean those girls had on bathing suits?:lmao:

Today is a rest day and I feel guilty for not exercising. I guess that's a good sign. Means I'm getting back in the groove.

Kim, have fun! Ethan will be with his dad this weekend and all of my friends are out of town. I think I'll sleep as much as possible!

Sean and Christine, hope the weather isn't too bad. We had some tornado warnings and thunderstorm warnings, but nothing touched down in my area. We've been lucky so far.

I check in during the day but don't post from work. If you feel like you're talking to yourself, just remember I'm looking but can't respond. I try to catch up when I get home. Every now and then there's a comment that I have to respond to. I just hope the computer ppl don't talk too much about me if they decide to watch what I'm doing!

Well, off to shower and get ready for Friday! YAY! I need about 3 more hours of sleep and I'd be doing fine!pirate:

OMG , even 491 needed more fabric? They ask what fabic you would like and I would have to say at least some :rotfl2:. I think you are perfect for the bird watching!

Christine , did you get the ice storm as well? We only got a small touch of the storm and now it is all rain.

Kimmi, A HOTEL? Wow girl you move fast :rotfl:

Paula I was physically impaired last week as well from doing way way too many lunges, I need a butt :rotfl: but I still keep going to the gym and I felt so much better as far as muscles go after that.

O.K woohhoo update. I may not be doing it since I really don't think I am ready right now plus I don't think I want to look like Anna or Pam. I did find a great bra at Victorias Secret ( the new Embrace) which is absolutley amazing, and I am in a D so NO WAY not bigger maybe smaller next year. But this bra does do the push up job without having to wear a sports bra

We are on a 2 hour school delay so gotta run and get the girls ready and then off to the gym.

Have a great day everyone :)

We're back, and better than ever. An homage to Mike and Mike, currently at ESPN the Weekend, at WDW...
Thankfully, just a lot of rain here. At least an inch of it overnight. No ice, I'm happy to say. Very little of our winter precipitation accumulations remain. Hope everyone else is well.
An all-day rifle match for me tomorrow, and a hockey game Sunday evening. Perhaps a date night for us tomorrow...watching POC-DMC. :pirate: And maybe a winter defiance meal this weekend: grilling out on the deck.
Christine prepared some tasty beef enchiladas for dinner last night. Mmmm, good. Beef, bean paste, diced onions, cheese, tomatoes :cloud9: The leftovers will probably be our pre-movie meal.

We just watched "The Guardian"...it was pretty good. Why does Kevin Costner always die in the sea though????? That's the 2nd time.

Anyways, we are planning on a movie "The Queen"-my pick, dinner at the Bonefish Grill & drinks at a martini bar tomorrow as our date night. Probably, just stay home & rest on Sunday.

Long week at work.....not sure why other than we are converting to an all electronic health record & starting the training this week. 4hrs this morning & being issued a very expensive lap top to work on made me feel like this .

When is Babs back from the World?????

Where's Chris been????

I didn't even look at the bathing suit thing...I am skeered of bathing suits & looking at a bunch of women looking good in them makes me feel even worse.

Hey Melanie, never feel bad about yourself I sure you are a bomb shell in your own rite.
I am swimsuit shopping queen. I think I have somewhere around 10 or so I bought last year. I think it is because I gained so much with the girls and had the weight for a few years that I finally said "thats it I am going to wear that bikini again even if I am 38"! I am going to pick up another at Victorias Secret next week . We camp alot and have a pool so they get lots and lots of use. I refuse too be to old too soon.

Sean, grilling, Yum :) I am ready for some hotdogs , hamburgers and salads again. Oh a good old steak. Barry is an amazing cook and we did the smoker alot last year and made pulled pork , OMG that was the best.

Kimmi, I am so happy for you that you found someone. It seems like a good match. I hope you feel comfortable introducing Noah to him soon.

Melanie did you say Martini's?
Are we there yet?

Off to eat my yogart and then bed.
It has been wonderful having Barry home for the past 2 weeks so I know when he leaves again Monday it won't be the same and it will be take-out again for the girls and I. Luckily he is always home on weekends. We also miss him when he is gone for these long stretches, this time 8-9 weeks.

OH, I went to Target and checked out the dollar spot and found a POTC tiny bag, headband and lanyard. I'm stocking up on the cruise. If we had a headcount of all the kiddo's, I'd get a POTC purse/bag for the trick or treating for everyone. They are only a buck afterall!

Paula. It's a 1 1/2 hour documentary type of thing. It can be rented I believe or purchased but it really is something worth the purchase. They talk about The Secret to life basically and how to use the power of attraction for everything to get what. they say when you keep thinking about negative things IE bills, divorse etc that this is what you will attract unless you change your way of thinking to something postive , then they say you will attract all the postive, It goes really really deep into the subject. They say all the great philosophers , presidents and sucessful business people use this.
I like I said was absolutley sucked itno this and truely believe in everything they told me and i will use to tools they say we all have. I am going to be rich, travel, have great health and yup perfect woohoo's :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

My grandparents want to take the whole family on a cruise this summer! An 8 day Eastern on Carnival Liberty! This will be the 5th time they've done this. They pay for the trip and all we have to pay for is the "extras". I'm so excited! I called my boss and asked if I could have off and he said of course. I was worried about taking 2 cruises without any vacation time for the Oct cruise and he asked me if I'd lost my mind even thinking of not going on both of them! WooHoooooo! I'm so excited! We leave out of Ft Lauderdale and go to San Juan, PR; St Thomas; ANTIGUA; TORTOLA; and Nassau. I've been to all but Antigua and Tortola! Now I don't have to freak out about missing something on St Thomas since I'll be there 2 times in 3 months!

Of course, y'all know me enough to know what my next thought was. Holy Crap! Now I really have to get into shape and fast!:scared1: I'm so excited! I know what you mean about not having much to do after 1100. I live in the capital for Pete's sake and there's nothing to do if you are over 28. There are the usual sports bars, heavy metal band bars, but no dance clubs, martini bars or anything like that for the non-college crowd. Paula, WOOHOO :woohoo: YIPPY I'm so excited for you:cool1:  :cheer2: . We did 2 cruises in 4 months last year and it was great, a bit over whelming thou. I really never unpacked from the first one :) I have never been to either island but I can't wait to hear what you think of them and what you did. I hear they are both beautiful. did you look up any photos of them? My first thing I would be doing is pin pointing shark attacks in that area, but thats just me I do it everytime we go to new island since my phobia is sharks :rotfl2:
I am a bit sleepy today, can't seem to shake it. I really would like to get to the gym but i can't seem to get my butt off the couch. Barry is going to Sams Club with the girls and I really should go so I can pick up some coffee and creamer., were out and thats probally my problem. I NEED COFFEE ! :coffee:

The Secret, I will let you know how it goes for me. I am always always upbeat and smiling 95% of the time, my nickname was smiley all through high school. I never surround myself with depressing peps. I try very very hard to look on the bright side of things and the woohoo's seem to be part of the whole secret, I wanted them, dream it and can have them. Same goes for many many other things, I WILL be going on the Womens only vacation, and this is also part of the attraction theory. I never say I will never have it. I say I WILL have it! This cruise is same same when I think about it since DH said we won't be going again for many years I said "Oh yes we will" and here we are going in 7 months :)
You guys really really have to see this!!!!! There is 2 more installments that apparently get much deeper then the first and I can't wait to watch them.

Have any of you been to Tortola or Antigua? David's honeymoon was in Tortola. So... I will never get there... lol. However, a woman that works for me just returned from these same ports! I'll get some advice from her for ya!

O.K enough babbling for now guess I am waking up :dance3: When my girlfriend was listening to me vent about David's issues with the ex... and how I handled it... she told me I was living "the secret". I didn't understand what she was talking about until she told me about the power of positive thinking and how it can turn things around. Needless to say, he has much less to say about the ex...and negative things and MUCH more to say about Kimmie and positive things! It's working for me!

Now for the big news.... I'm engaged!! No... just kidding... but wow did we have a good time. He brought me flowers... :flower3: The room had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us... and roses on the pillow for me. It was a very romantic Inn, with a wonderful view of the Blue Water Bridge that connects Michigan to Canada. Dinner was a window table with a view of the bridge and the night lights from Canada. It was the most romantic weekend I've ever had. He's definately sweeping me off my feet. We are both exhausted (a good exhaustion) and I just sent him home. I can't find Noah! He's with his friend but the friends Dad isn't answering his cell .... so, I sent tired David home to rest. We will have dinner with Noah here at my house on Tuesday.

We did a lot of talking about our future and doing things to ensure we have a solid one.... things are moving fast, but that's ok with both of us. One isn't dragging the other along... ya know?

So happy to hear that things are going well. You got a WHAT out of Christine when she got to the engaged line. Then, she saw the rest of the post. Sometimes things do move fast , Barry and I are a good example of that. 2 weeks into our relationship we did the cruise together and everything else fell in place. Are you sure he can't come along with us? Hi everyone!

Is there room for a few more? I just put down our deposit about 10 minutes ago, and I am so excited to be going on this cruise.

It will be myself, DH, and our 2 boys who will be 10 and 6 at the time.

We have been on 2 previous Disney cruises. One was a 3 day on the Wonder and the other was a 7 day E Carib in 2005. We met a great group of DISers on that trip and I can't wait to do the same on this cruise. That is, if you guys don't mind a few more in your group.

AKL Savannah view. We stayed at AKL prior to our 2005 cruise, so there is a nostalgia component. Due to the celebration of Botswana's independence day, the place was overbooked. They offered up upgrade us to GF, but DW wasn't feeling well after a long day of travel. A bunk bed standard room overlooking the port o' cochere and above the ME luggage depot was found for us on the Ostrich Trail. It sounds worse than it was. Now we can see the animals, as well as eat at Boma. :cool1:
Now we begin the Southwest stalk :tiptoe: . And attempt to figure out excursions.

Sean. I am jealous. We stayed in the Savannah room view last year for 4 days prior and LOVED it. I can't remember which part we were in but we saw giraffe's, ostriches or something like that and some sorta cow. I wish we could stay there again but we are trying to stay within a budget this time. The girls went nuts when they saw the bunkbeds, it made their day :)
Our friend Brian came along for the first leg of the vacation.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. You guys definitely seem like a friendly bunch. Looking at the size of this thread, it looks like I have a lot of reading to do to catch up on what's going on.

PaDisneyCouple, our September 05 Eastern was the most incredible vacation. The DISers we met there were so friendly. Our group had ice cream bar eating contest, photo albums for kids, t-shirts for kids, and even a big scavenger hunt with prizes on a sea day. It was just so nice to get to know everyone that I had spoken to over the internet for months. Our tablemates even ended up being DISers that I had spoken to over the internet. We were so surprised.

I think going over Halloween is going to be fantastic. We celebrated Halloween one year at Disney World and had a blast so I know the cruise will just be spectacular.

And now, for some random thoughts from Pa::fish:

For those among us who enjoy chocolate...we're currently working on a batch of Hershey Bar Choocolate brownies. We buy the BIG BOX at Sam's Club. Enough packs for 5 batches. Kisses, chunks of bars, etc in each pack. Multiple Hershey bars worth. :hyper:

Watched POC DMC Saturday night. It was ok, but I thought the first one was better. Even with the TV volume turned way up, we still had trouble hearing parts. And the fortune teller/witch/whatever she is: need subtitles.

The movie did give DW her pirate: night idea. At least, her idea for now :scratchin . Me, I'm worried how we're going to get all this stuff to Orlando and on the :boat:

In closing, in an attempt to make the cruise seem even closer: :coffee: I believe T-180 from 10/26 is 4/29/07. I know we'll be calling that day to make our PS plans at Boma. ::yes:: See, its closer than we thought!

We did the Butterfly Farm Tour on our Sept cruise. We enjoyed it, but we are probably going to do something different this time.

I remember it was very hot with all the netting around to keep the butterflies inside. We got some great pictures of the kids holding butterflies, but it wasn't as easy I thought it would be to actually hold the butterflies. Most of the time they would just fly away. The tour of the island was interesting as well, and we got a chance to shop too.

Congrats on booking AKL Sean & Christine. Guess I will have to join you in the airline stalk....I hate that part of planning. It always stresses me out & I go ahead & book pretty far out most times because I start freaking out.
I can call March 27th to try to book us in at Wilderness Lodge through DVC.
Yep, we can call April 29th to book dining for Oct 26th. We are doing MNSSHP & thinking about doing Liberty Tree Tavern. We did that last time before the party & it was good & it was cute to see the characters in their Halloween masks.
I am on the SPA section in my Passporter....can't wait to decide what fun things to do in there. I think I know what I want for excursions too but may change my mind after reading more in the Passporter.
Can we go yet?????

I think our spa time will only consist of the REAS length of stay pass to the Rainforest Room. I might get a neck and shoulder rub if they have them by the Quiet Cove pool, as they did on our 4-night. Chris had such a positive experience with the personal training last time, that is where her focus is. I've been researching excursions off-and-on today. And been looking at the 2007 Eastern Navigators that were recently posted on the DCL info page (link at top of screen). You're right, I think its time for some Passporter time.

Since we are going on a cruise in July *heehee* I'm only doing one excursion with DCL. That will be the Doubloon sail and snorkel. Since we're going to be at St Thomas for 11 hours in July, we're going to hit the pirate castle and take the ferry over to St John's. I'm much more relaxed now about the planning. I'm pretty much sold on going to see the airplanes land almost on the beach in St Maarten. I've been looking at things on CC, but I think I'm just going to chill. Ethan will go to the kids beach and let me have some of my last day alone. He told me the other day he knows I have to have some alone time every now and then. I almost fell off the couch!

I have to brag for a second and show y'all the excursion I'm going to take in Antigua if it's not booked. It's a private company and not overcrowded. Check it out!http://www.adventureantigua.com/tour.html

Christine, you seem alot like myself as far as the gym goes and fitness in general. Hopefully we can take some classes together, it is always more fun with friends. :) When my friend Deb goes with me it seems as thou the time on the tread goes by so quickly. I would like to start toning now since I am below my ideal weight. I am NOT however a fan of weights especially doing anything that involves the arms, legs fine arms not. Barry is trying very hard to help me out since I am not use to free weights. When I worked for Ballys they had all the computerized weights which for me was easier

Hesrhey chocolate, that sounds good to me. I have to figure out what we can bring now. The only thing we are well known for is salt, anyone want some salt? :rotfl2:

Paula, WOW, it is gorgeous, Yes I am jealous, did I say that yet?

We probally won't be doing any spa time. I was lucky enough to win a full massage at Bingo last time and I have to say I am not so sure I would have paid $150.00 or so for it.

Good Lord I got stuck in the driveway AGAIN. Last week I left it near the road and someone came to the door and asked if I need to be towed out. How nice was that? They own the onion fields behind us and we only met them once. I LOVE the country, everyone is super super nice. This time Greg towed me out, I was really really stuck and almost in the road. The wind was 40-50 miles an hour today , near whiteout conditions so I couldn't make it into work. I did try to go but while getting on the highway I came to a complete stop and couldn't see a darn thing.

The girls are awaitng their bedtime story so I must go.

I'm thinking little bottles of Jack Daniels unless someone might be offended by that. :lmao: Let's see what else is made in Tennesse....besides country music. Goo-goo clusters, moon pies????? Going to have to do some serious thinking about this now.

I drive standard only, I would like it in white since my current car is black and ALWAYS looks bad. I like bells and whistles but you can cut a few things out but a sunroof is a must, oh yes and heated seats. Coney's, nachos, hmmmm. I guess I could steal some meds from the ER for tummy problems!

Have I mentioned the fact that I'm ready to go? I have to go get one huge suitcase since I'll be flying in July. I wasn't going to do formal night but since the Grandparents want us all to dress up for a family pic I have to. Blah! On our cruise, how many of y'all are going fancy? I was thinking maybe semi-formal. I guess it depends on my mood that day. Do y'all know what port we'll be in that day? Or is it the second day, the one at sea?

I'm off to wash off the goat smell! :dogdance: Imagine it has horns.

Hi paula, I never get all hooped up. I have a short coctail dress that I will wear on formal night but we are going to try and book Palo that night. Last time we were lucky and got in. I bring lots of tees, board shorts, cotton dresses and cargo shorts and stay as casual as possible throughout the cruise. I think I was in my bathing suit 75% of the time. Barry pretty much does the same. I know I will need to go buy him some clothes before the cruise as he never ever buys himself anything new.
Well off to my hair appointment , time to go a bit blonder, with my brown streaks. No cut this time as I really want to grow it out a few more inches. I actually cut my hair last night just so my dresses would hack it off. I'm sure it is crooked but oh well I wear hats most of the time.

School is on a 2 hour delay AGAIN!!! This is becoming absolutley rideculous. Is Spring here yet? http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_1v.gif

I am suprised you all know about Coneys, so many people have no clue what a white hotdog is :confused3 :rotfl:

Rer, where are you from again?

Sean & Christine, we use to have the Nestle Factory but sadly they closed their doors 2 years ago  I LOVED the smell of chocolate when we took the girls to the park, believe it or not it even over powered Mc Donalds.

Coney's are also known as chili dogs. A hot dog with chilli, onions, mustard... they can get really fancy in Chicago and they add saurkraut, hot peppers, coleslaw, etc.

I wouldn't do the Dolphin over All Star Family Suite - you lose the Disney touch. Just sayin.... :)

And now, for a few random thoughts...

Christine wishes to clarify her thought about gifts from home: she's thinking a Polyanna-type swap. You wouldn't have to bring a gift for every DIS Moon Cruiser. Of course, in the swap, we'll be receiving Kimmielee's gift :lmao: .

Dolphin vs All-Star suite: we vote for whatever Hazel wants :thumbsup2 . If it was us, we'd chose the Dolphin, since its so close to so many great places to eat and you can walk to the back entrance of EPCOT.

Moved up a gear on the planning front, but falling behind Paula in the exercise race.

Cruise wear: Formal? I think not. Hoping DW brings her collection of tropical print dresses for most of the dinners. I'll have a suit for Palo and formal night. I'm already plotting how I can maximize its use.

Based upon the Passporter and info from PJ: Formal on an Eastern should be day #2, our first day at sea (10/28). With the powers of PJ pixiedust: , and the PLAPLAP rotation, we'd be in Lumiere's that night.

We now must depart this talk of fine dining on the High Seas with our friends, and make our dinner of spaghetti and meatballs.

White meat? On second thought, I'll pass. I don't like mystery meat! I have a hard enough time eating hotdogs as it is so white ones are completely out of the question!

After busting my **** exercising this morning, what do I come home and do? Dig into a box of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies! AAAAAAAAAAAGH! Oh well, a few won't hurt. Besides, PMS would be miserable without some chocolate!

We have to go to boyscouts in a few. I'll be back later!

Good luck tonight Kimmie! I'll be thinking about y'all!

I have never heard of a white hot dog. It just seems wrong. I don't think they sell them where I live because surely I would have noticed with all the hot dogs my oldest DS eats.

Does this cruise group have a name or anything? I noticed the thread title said Cruising around the Moon- A Magical All Hallows Eve, and I was wondering if that was our slogan. My kids are so excited to be going over Halloween. Are any of you adults dressing up? I don't think my DH or I have the guts but if everyone else did, we would most likely cave to peer pressure.

ohsodisney, I can't even imagine living by a Nestle factory. I think I would have just stayed outside all day long and smelled the air. I would have wept when they closed.

Since I am new and you guys are so nice, is there anything I need to know about you all? I don't know if I will have time to read all the posts (these kids seems to want my attention when I am not working)

Paula.........formal night we will be trying to go to Palo as Eric doesn't want to the do the tux thing but will be fine wearing a suit which as Sean is planning to do he will probably wear again on Semi-formal night. I will probably wear a dressy type dress but not a FORMAL gown both places.

White hot dogs sound yucky to me....a coney to me is a chili dog from the Sonic.

Thin mints........yummo!!!! I am avoiding girl scout cookies at all cost. I won't make eye contact with them as I walk into Walmart. I am after all trying to stick to my Weight Watchers diet. Now if only I could get my butt in gear excercising like Paula.

Hope all went well with dinner at Kimmi's house...and that Noah & David had a nice intro.

My dinner last night went off without a hitch. Having David here was so nice. He brought Noah some books - POC story book and a pirate coloring book and Noah loved them. ::yes::

He asked David simple questions... saved the hard ones for me after he left! We ate dinner (it turned out yummy!) and then they went in the living room while I cleaned up the kitchen. I heard them chatting... it was cute. :)

Then we played Disney Scene it and Noah womped our butts! It was a great night and having my two favorite males together was a treat. :cool1:

David and I are going to dinner and the movies on Thursday.... I think it's safe to say... we can now officially call this a relationship with great potential for more. :lovestruc

Cool wristbands!

Kimmielee, I don't know you yet, but congratulations on a great evening. There is something so exciting about that first year of a relationship. Of course, I now wonder if my DH truly is the same guy I met in that first year of our relationship. I asked him the other day what happened to that sweet, romantic guy I dated, and he said that guy has spent over 10 years with me, had kids, and is now just trying to survive. See, isn't he so romantic?

Someone mentioned bringing something from their home state. Well, I live in Arkansas, and I can't think of single thing exciting here so I have no idea what I would bring.

Since we finally put down the deposit on the cruise, I have decided it is time to get serious about losing weight. Maybe since I am telling you guys that I am trying to get in shape, I will stick with my diet and exercise. At least, that is what I am hoping.

vital
03-08-2007, 06:28 AM
OK, I asked some guys at work if they could tell if I've lost weight and they all looked at me like I was crazy. My scale is broken so I don't know if I have. I told them it wouldn't hurt my feelings and they all replied, "that's what my wife says too!" Oh well, I'll have to go buy a scale I guess.

I like the bracelets also. Just as long as they aren't orange/white swirls or orange/blue swirls. Y'all know I'm crazy, but those are Tennessee colors and Florida colors! Now, if anyone wants to order maroon and white swirls, I'm in! Seriously, I like the idea of the orange ones since it's halloween. I also thought the glow in the dark ones looked cool!

I booked the Antigua Eco Tour yesterday! I'm so excited! I've never done something like that before! I broke down and let Ethan use his new snorkel that has a water guard over the top in the tub last night. He also had his goggles on. I'm trying to get him as comfortable as I can using them before we cruise. I know he'll enjoy snorkeling. I just don't want him to drown when he sees Nemo and tries to tell me about it underwater:lmao: . I don't know if y'all have seen the snorkels with the cover over the top of the tube to prevent waves from coming in it, but it's pretty cool. I'm going to have to go back and get my own now.

Well, I must shower and get ready for the world! Have a good day!

My friend at work yesterday was asking alot of questions about my ex's , which is fine but it seemed to have brought back bad memories so right after work I went to the gym. OMG I did 90 minutes of cardio, I think I am broken today :rotfl2:
This appears to be a busy day. I have to go to work and then pick up the girls along with my friends daughter Jordyn. We are going to Pizza Hut afterwards and then we are off to her basketball games. Yes, I somehow got wrangled into kids games already. Her Mom and Dad both want to see her sisters final game so I said i would take Jordo to hers. Holly and McKenna are so excited to see her play as well. Hopefully after that I can get to the gym.
I'm sure I will not be checking in much today so have a super day everyone :)

PJ . I really like the wristbands. We had similar ones on our last cruise and they were super easy to spot especially since after the first day I'm sure we won't be wearing the t-shirt. We did have the glow-in-the-dark ones and the girls thought that was the neatest thing ever :) Count us in .

Disneyfan. See I'm not the only one whoes husbands lost that loving feeling :rotfl2: , not that he doesn't love me but it really isn't the same. We have been together for 7 years married, I ask him if he has the 7 year itch LOL :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Mine would just be happy if I stop asking him for money :) . Honestly he is such a sweetheart and would do anything for the girls and I and with him away Mon-Thurs it makes the weekends special.

Hello, Just checking in. We are having some difficulty with our Disney Visa, long story but it has been canceled??? Yep, they issued the card, it came in the mail and then when I tried to activate it they said the account was under investigation for FRAUD??? ( it hadn't even been activated yet??) after 4 hours of phone calls and receiving HORRIBLE customer service we finally got a nice gentleman who was able to tell us that they flagged the account because after looking at the copy of our SS that we sent in, They thought it "looked" funny?? ( DH had laminated it when he was a teenager and the copy we made apparently looked weird to them??? OK no problem right..........WRONG!!!Now DH is FUMING as they want him to reapply, DH is NOT wanting to do this and if we don't, we may not be able to afford the cruise, excursions, tips etc without charging it and having to pay interest. SAY A PRAYER that I will be able to convince DH to work with them even though they have for the most part been RUDE and UNHELPFUL!!!, If I didn't want to cruise soooooooooooooo bad I would agree with DH but I am scared to death that he will want to cancel our ressies!!!

PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

We've made some excursion decisions: St John Eco Hike, and doing nothing on CC. Storms ruined our 2 attempts at CC in 2005, and we really haven't experienced the island (except for the She Sells...).
Still uncertain about St Martin, though I now have orders: "if you see me :bride: heading towards, or talking about, the casinos, do whatever you must to keep me away. I have no interest in them." I think we'll explore Front and Back streets. It would appear that there's a beach there, too.

Of course these thoughts, like the pirate night outfit idea, could change at any time. :lmao:

I'm a Mississippi State fan. I'm a football fanatic although I'm impressed that our basketball team beat Kentucky today! There were about 5 of us with a patient and his mother in the waiting room watching the last 3 minutes of OT. I work at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which is Ole Miss, our biggest rival. I'm one of 2 State fans there so we have a good time during sports! I just checked our schedule and we are playing Kentucky the 27th and off the 4th. I guess we all know what I'll be checking on during the sail away party! I wouldn't doubt it if my son would rather watch the game than be on deck!:lmao:

Melanie. I am still here , been reading alot but haven't had alot of time to post. Barry comes home on Fridays so I try to spend as much time as I can with him and the girls over the weekends. We are also thinking about just beach time at Megans Bay or St Johns.

I had a major guilt trip tonight. We went to Ruby Tuesdays and I ate a hamburger , fries and smashed cauliflower LOVE the cauliflower  It doesn't seem like much but I had to head straight to the gym when we got home. I never eat like that except maybe once a week. I even thought about the lava cake they have but was a good girl and came home and had a spoonful of Smuckers mocha chocolate sundae sauce. :)

Pam, NO WAY GIRL ! You tell hubby to get that straightened out . I got yelled at when I almost back out, so you are going to be NO different!!!!! Plus you are part of our family now :)

Does anyone use the Philospohy line of products? I have a bad bad addiction to Philosophy products and Fresh products I use them up like water. If you have never tried any of these you absolutley must they are the one treat I give myself. Most of them remind me of vacations I love the coctail line of shampoos, YUMMY !

Dizzi , your honey sounds like a hubby to me as well.

Disneyfan , we are Big East fans of coarse. GO ORANGE :woohoo: , althou not looking so good this year. :sad2: As far as the door signs go, no not me , I have not a stitch of craftyness in me nor the patience. Pam has already asked I need her to do our tee shirts thats how bad I am. Good Lord I am dreading my girls school projects already :rotfl:

OMG you guys it may crack 50 degrees here next week :dance3:  :cool1: :yay:

Mississippi State was/is the "agricultural" university. It's known for the vet school, engineering, agriculture and teachers. When football first started there were cows that grazed in the pastures by the field that had cowbells around their necks. Don't ask me why, but someone rang one at a game and the rest is history.

The cruise is a surprise for my son. I'm picking him up from school the Thursday before the trip and will have the car packed. I'm just going to start driving and see how long it takes him to figure out we aren't going home. When he asks where we are going, I'll just casually say, "Disney World" and wait for a scream or something. I'm sure I'll pull over before I tell him so I can get a pic of the moment. He won't know about the cruise until the day of the cruise. We are going to WDW first for MNSSHP. I've kept it a secret since July. I hope I can continue!

You can add a weeks trip to WDW last year, at least a week on the beach of Gulf Shores, AL and many day trips to New Orleans. All at the ripe old age of 7. He's also been to New Hampshire during Christmas break to see my dad. He passed on the snow skiing though, said it was too cold! :lmao: When he gets older, I'm going to take him on a cruise to the Galapagos Islands. I want him to be old enough to appreciate it.

Paula, can you adopt me? OK, I'm a little too old. I can be your babysitter on your world travels. That's great that you are able to show Ethan all these places. My parents took us globetrotting when my sisters & I were young also. Mmmm... maybe I shouldn't use the word globetrotting. Good old US of A...i've seen the majority of it. also did a school trip to western Europe. (not the UK)
That's a great idea from Dizzi about making a Halloween door sign...maybe Pirates or Mickey could be incorporated. (But not Pirates and Mickey-that would be suspicious)
Chris, that's a great idea about surprising the twins! I would love to see that!

Off to the gym now. By the way, this Time Change sucks! :sad2:

The cruise is a surprise for my son. I'm picking him up from school the Thursday before the trip and will have the car packed. I'm just going to start driving and see how long it takes him to figure out we aren't going home. When he asks where we are going, I'll just casually say, "Disney World" and wait for a scream or something. I'm sure I'll pull over before I tell him so I can get a pic of the moment. He won't know about the cruise until the day of the cruise. We are going to WDW first for MNSSHP. I've kept it a secret since July. I hope I can continue!

Here's a question (sorry if you already answered it). How did you get him the time off from school without him knowing or finding out beforehand?

I'm going to have a conference with his teacher when school starts and tell her/him. We don't have problems taking kids out of school for family vacations here like other states. I'm going to give him a couple of waterproof disposable cameras and let him do a report on the things he learned on the trip. In the kids club they make flubber and do other educational things. I'm going to take him snorkeling and let him tell about the fish he sees. I'm just going to send him to school like any other day and come home and pack. Can you imagine packing the day you leave?:scared1: Neither can I so I'll let you know how many things I forget:lmao:

Hey Paula... I make Noah a "journal"... it's all Disney related... has pages for the first days at WDW and then each of the ports, includes word searches, etc... as his "homework" so he keeps good notes of our travels and has something to show his teacher. Since I'm already making one for Noah... I can make one for Ethan too! :woohoo:

Also, I'm trying to find a Disney "kids" book about the cruise... I know they make them about the parks... but not sure one exists for the cruise. If not, we should write one!! :surfweb:

vital, your son is going to be so excited when you surprise him with the cruise. I could never keep a secret that long. How cool.

Chris, what repo cruise are you going on? I am sure you have probably said, but I don' think I have read it in any of the posts I have read. I would love to go on a repo cruise. Your kids are going to be thrilled.

I have already spoken to my kids' school about the cruise. I expected it to be a big deal, but they didn't seem to mind at all. She just said have wonderful time.

Right now, my boys are bouncing off the walls because they are getting to go with their grandparents and my sister to Disney World in less than 2 weeks for Spring Break. DH and I have to work so we can't go. I have never been that far away for an entire week from my kids before. But I know they will be well taken care of and will have an incredible time. I am, however, very jealous that I cannot go.

My Razorbacks are getting absolutely killed by Florida right now. I can't even watch.

I like the extra hours of daylight....even though the time change always messes up everybody's internal clocks.

We went shopping yesterday...had to get something to wear to my cousins wedding the weekend after Easter. We had dinner out & then went for a martini in the downtown Hilton....a nice lounge but no entertaiment outside of tv's & 2 martini's cost us 20$ (17 for the drinks & 3 for tip) :scared1 so after one drink we came on home.

Nice weekend but as always too short.

I second Chris' statement of kudos for you single Mom's. You guys rock & your kids sure are lucky.

I think we have narrowed down our excursions to St John Island tour or EcoHike & Dolphin Encounter or Rhinorider on St Marteen.

Still thinking about the spa suite but man is it expensive. If not that then we will do Rasul & maybe a week pass to the Rainforest room & maybe a massage.

Can we go yet??????

I was 38 when he was born and went through so many life changes prior to his birth that it made me who I am today! :goodvibes

David and I took Noah and his friend to the park for some much needed outdoor time yesterday. It got to be 50 degrees here!! :cool1: We even went for ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. Oh my... that's heaven in a cup. I didn't eat my whole serving (which was small) but I did satisfy the ice cream screamer in me! :lmao:

DH CANCELEDour Ressie!! and got a refund for the deposit. I am soooo ANGRY, and HURT and well I don't know what else. I understand his reasoning but he has NO IDEA how much this trip means to me.
I am still working with Disney to get this all solved and I WILL rebook WHEN it gets CLEARED UP, I am not sure if DH will be mad or not but right now I just WILL NOT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please pray that I can get this solved IT IS SOOO UNFAIR!!!!!!!

I am trying to calm down and I know that I still have time to rebook, although I am sure it will be more expensive. PLEASE PRAY,SEND PIXIE DUST!!! If my cruise gets ruined because of DISNEY VISA, I am fixing to raise some H@!!

We paid for our deposit in cash and planned on paying for the rest on a Disney Visa which we had been APPROVED for ( we have very good credit). When the Visa card arrived in the mail we headed down to the TA office to pay for the cruise and at that time called the 1-800 number on the card to ACTIVATE it. When we called they told us the card had been canceled for SECURITY reasons?? After about 4 hours of phone conversations HORRIBLE customer service and the run around we finally were told that the account had been flagged and then canceled due to FRAUD??? HUH??? apparently the copy of our SS card we sent them "LOOKED" funny?? so instead of doing any investigating with us they decided to cancel the card saying they were just PROTECTING US. After over a week of more phone calls, MORE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNKEPT PROMISES my DH had enough and will no longer work with them to get this resolved ( they want him to reapply and he thinks that is ridiculous as they had already approved us and only flagged the account to "protect" US from fraud. Well I have still been working with them but today when the TA called him to see how things were going he CANCELED the ressie and asked the TA to send us a check. DH will not put the cruise on a credit card with INTEREST and I only talked him into it because of the Disney cards NO INTEREST and Rewards program. WE do not carry balances on credit cards and DH is now so angry that he is in the JUST FORGET ABOUT IT mood. I am going to continue to work with the VISA people ONLY because this cruise is SO IMPORTANT TO ME!!!! I am not sure if DH will be angry or not so I am going out on a limn. I am praying that WHEN this gets resolved and I have activated card in hand he will be ok with me REBOOKING, but I am scared to death that we will not be able to get a decent cabin and will have to pay WAY more than we origanally did. I plan on calling the Disney Customer Relations office to see if they can send any pixie dust our way.

KEEP PRAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pam,

I am pretty new to the group, and I am so sorry to hear about this. I definitely hope everything somehow gets worked out, and you are able to go.

I can tell you if I had lost 100 pounds, I would definitely be taking the cruise if it was my reward that I had worked so hard for even if I had to go by myself. Heck, if I had lost 100 pounds, I would make DH take me on a trip around the world. That is just so incredible. I am trying hard to lose weight (even though I just started) for this cruise, and no one is taking it away from me.

I can't believe Disney VISA has had such poor service. They definitely need to make things right, and I hope everything works out. Good luck, and let us know how things are going.

Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust!!

VITAL, you never know I may have to take you up on that offer;)

As for the weight loss, I have lost 78lbs so far and it has NOT been easy. I gained over 100 pounds with my pregnancy, due to complete bed rest for 8 months and steroid shots daily ( long story, she is my miracle after 4 miscarriages in a row) anyway after gaining so much in such a short time and then going thru some bad post partum I ended up not only keeping the weight on, but since I then became a stay at home mom, depressed and unable to do the active things I enjoyed I just "accepted" myself and ended up weighing in, well lets just say at a size 24!!!! ( when I first became pregnant I was a size 7) Well....my lightbulb moment came at a woman's conference I went to. They had asked us to write down what we LOVED to do, not what our family loved or taking care of our children etc...but what I as an individual loved to do..........well I just couldn't think of anything except stuff that included my DD or DH. I began to CRY!! I realized I had FORGOTTEN ME??? ALL ABOUT ME??? AND WHAT I LOVED??? I then remembered things like racquet ball, water skiing, hiking, just general outdoors fun and since I had had my weight gain I no longer did ANY of these things. It was then that I decided to get down to business. I AM VERY FORTUNATE to work as a director for the YMCA so I was able to hire our very BEST personal trainer whom I work out with 3 days a week, I also try to do cardio EVERYDAY. I still have days that I screw up, and definitely have times when I don't want to do anything, but having my trainer to talk to and cheer me on is really what keeps me headed for my goal. I also use MyFoodDiary dot com, which is an amazing website for logging your food, exercise and telling you how healthy you are eating and what things you can improve on as well as giving you SMILEYS for doing a good job:woohoo: I HIGHLY recommend it and if you want more info you can PM me or just browse their website.

Way to go on 78lbs lost Pam...that is a great accomplishment.

For DFF....I have done Weight Watchers to loose mine. It has been slow coming off, but I feel good to have lost 50lbs in a year. I haven't really still been excercising like I should so I need to get busy on that & I really hope to loose more before our trip rolls around.

Hoping one way to fight the blahs after the cruise by staying in touch with the DIS buddies I make on this one. :teeth: I doubt we will book another cruise while on board like we did with this one. I really want to go to California or Europe for our next big vacation.

I was wondering about Halloween also. Are we doing anything special? From reading another thread also, it looks like the DIS festivities were better than the actual cruise line activities last year. I would love to help in any way I can. I am sure both of my kids will dress up for Halloween. As what, I am not sure. I don't know if DH and I will wear costumes yet. It kind of depends who all else here is dressing up. We could cave to peer pressure. I think it would be a blast to dress up but I don't have the guts to unless DH dresses up too.

Thanks for letting me know what diet you are doing, Disneygrl. Two of my co-workers are doing that, and I am kind of looking at points as well. I'm on a float for the St Patrick's Day Parade here. The guys on the float go to New Orleans to get the beads. I've got them looking for pirate beads for us on the cruise. I'll let you know this weekend (if I can type Sunday:rolleyes1 ) what kind we got. I'm also up for making goodie bags of the kids favorite candy. I hate seeing stuff go to waste so we can list what our kid's favorites are *and ours too* and get only what is liked. I'm driving so if someone wants something and doesn't want to pack it, let me know and I'll get it.

I'm going to dress up for halloween. I'm leaning towards that witch pic I showed y'all or Little Red Riding Hood since I already have the costumes.pirate: Of course I'll be getting a pirate wench costume as well!pirate:

I am sure we will be doing little trips each summer until then. We went to Paris (me and DH) about 1year and 1/2 ago, we only spent 4 days which was not near enough, my Dh went on business so he spent 2 days working while i explored on my own. It is a very AWESOME experience, i cant wait to take my kids.

Definetly dressing up for Halloween.....Mary Poppins & Bert will be reporting for Halloween duty. If we are all going to dress up, it might be fun to do a Halloween costume group photo....what do ya'll think???

Will participate in trick or treating for the kidlets even though we don't have any & good idea about bringing only candy people like Paula.

Can we go yet???????????

I really want to do London & Paris (of course with a visit to Disneyland) at the least...maybe spring 2009 for us I am thinking. Have never been over the big pond. Will hope for good advice from Chris on the best places to go & especially great places to have my beloved afternoon tea.

Well there you have it the whole sorted story:scared1:
I just know this has to work out !!! I will cruise in October, even if I have to hide in one of your suitcases:rolleyes1

Pam, you are AMAZING! I am so happy for you! I'm also adding you to my prayer list... lots of pixie dust too! I say take Paula up on her offer to play someone from Disney Visa to trick him! YOU MUST COME!!!

I sooo have to work on a costume!! One year I was Mrs. Potts... lol. Talk about HOT!!

I do have one idea... but it will be a surprise. Paula... great idea about the candy. Noah is a Hershey's kid. Just plain Hershey's. Or M&M's... plain or peanut. His Momma... Likes ALL kinds of candy... oh, wait... this is for the kids right?

Can we go yet?????????????:yay:

We definitley will be dressing up, adults and children, but just dont have a clue what yet. I think DD is leaning towards a cheer leader. But we have plenty of time for her to change her mind over and over again.

Well, another morning another workout! I like anything mint/chocolate, caramel/chocolate, plain chocolate or skittles! I don't really care for nuts in anything (minds out of gutter Chris and Ronnie). When it's closer to the DAY, we can get a list together and go from there. I really don't mind packing my car with food! LOL!

Well, off to shower. Hope y'all have a great day!pirate:
