Here is a tentative schedule that I will update as needed:
Thursday:
Arrivals throughout the day at various times.
Dinner and drinks possibly at O'Hana's.

Friday:
Official Welcome Breakfast (perhaps a character breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace in MK)
Magic Kingdom (if we do the brkfst there we will already be there early)
Pleasure Island that night


Saturday:
Epcot and World Showcase (the Food and Wine Festival will be going on at that time)
Jellyrolls that night

Sunday:
AK and MGM (both are smaller parks so I thought to divide them)
Official Farewell Dinner (location to be determined)

Monday:
pack-up, maybe some last minute souvenior shopping at DTD
Departures throughout the day

When you are on the DIS home page and you click on DISCUSS up on the top, on the next page that it takes you to, over on the left side of the screen is Abbreviations. Ckick on that and there is a list of that sort of stuff. Hope that helps.

First of all, welcome!! Ok, on to the ?'s

momma4u (Beth) decided that all of us hard working over stressed ladies were in need of a deserved break so she came up with this trip idea. Sign ups are open to anyone who would fit into that category ;) . I can say, for myself anyway, that I did not know anyone here other than through a few of the exchanges that I've particpated in.

A group of ladies have decided to stay at a DVC resort and the rest of us are staying at CSR.

As far as a signup deadline, I'm sure Beth will set one soon because we are going to need to get some things firmed up for reservations and ADRs

Jenny is in charge of our dining plans so you can direct any of those ?'s to her. If you have any other ?'s you can PM me or Beth.

I can answer a few of your questions...

To match you up with someone, get you in on a group rate, etc, etc I'm sure it's best if they know if you are coming sooner rather than later, but as long as the event hasn't happened, you will be welcomed. At least I'm hoping that's the case. :rotfl: I won't be planning until much closer to the event for reasons that I've given.

Like I tell my kids, a stranger is a friend who you haven't met you. :teeth: I'm sure that if you hang out on the threads for this meet you'll get to know the ladies and by the time you go you'll feel that you do know them. With the exception of tevagirl, they are all ladies. Well, I would also be that exception, if I happen to go. :crazy: I have only met a few DISers and I don't think any of them are going.

I do not have a set deadline but the sooner the better. I am recieving PMs daily from those who want to come and are submitting their info, but there are still alot I haven't heard from too, so there is still time. We just need to get an idea for room reservations.

I know no one here! And I don't care. :teeth: I am a stranger and we are all doing exactly what we were always told not to do, which is shack up with some stranger from the internet. But hey, it should be fun so who cares. ;) :goodvibes

So far there is a group of 8 staying at the BWV. Other than that everyone is either at the CSR or they live in the area or will be there with family and are only going to catch up with us for a day or evening out. Agotta (Amanda) is organizing the DVCers info.

As far as people coming from New York....it looks like I have 2 who are in NY. I will PM them and see if they don't mind me giving out their names and in the meantime maybe someone will see this and let you know.

I got a shirt through disneyshopping.com that was pretty cool. I checked it out and they seem to contract with razzle which I found by googling customized t-shirts razzle. I am not sure how much customizing is allowed, but it might be something to look into...I saw lime green.

I recieved a PM yesterday from DizznyChick and she said she has a friend who owns a t-shirt design store and might be able to do the tees. She will let me know for sure. This plan sounds great! I love it.

I had a thought this afternoon. I know I want to arrive Wednesday night. I could get a room at a value for the night, but if anyone else was planning to arrive Wednesday night as well, I'd love to share a room at CS then. It might even be cheaper to share & then we wouldn't have to move to another hotel. Anyone interested?

I got a shirt through disneyshopping.com that was pretty cool. I checked it out and they seem to contract with razzle which I found by googling customized t-shirts razzle. I am not sure how much customizing is allowed, but it might be something to look into...I saw lime green.

I saw them--I got very excited when I saw the lime green. However, I don't think you can customize sayings.

I think the shirts through DisneyShopping.com can be customized with wording (although I don't know how much). What might be cute about doing them that way is everyone could pic out the character they like the best (and the type of shirt) but then they would all say the same thing on them like "DIS Ladies Only 2006" or something.

What about tshirts with Ms. Duck icon? I've made iron on transfers for different events and it isn't too difficult. We could find a lime green tshirt on the web, everyone purchase the same model and iron on the transfer. For those without a printer some others could pitch in. I wouldn't mind doing a few if the image would blow up large enough.

I know the 8 of us staying at BWV are going to have the dining plan. Im not sure about the CSR people, Beth is probably still working on that. Everyone in the room has to have it so maybe you can room with someone else who wants it too.

The the meals are still in the planning stages. Jenny(momInRI) is working on the meals and it seems like for most there will be more than one option.

I think it would be a great idea to vote. I have an idea but I don't think I could make it come to life. It would basically be incorporating alot of the Disney female characters so as to have a "group" of them. But that could be a nightmare to have professionally printed. I am anxious to see what others came up with.

Thursday night...Ohana 7 PM


Friday ..Dinner and DTD at Raglan road and HOB...Some will be at each

Saturday. Eat around the world at EPCOT for the food and wine festival..Some may go to LeCellier

Sunday, AK and early dinner at BOMA.. SOme are going to MGM..Some to MNSSHP
I make all of the meal plans,so if you want to join us for any of these meals just LMK by PM

This is the only place I have ever lived so I can't compare it to anything. We do like it here though and it's close to DC and Richmond. We would really like to move to the Charlotte, NC area in a few years to be closer to his family but we will probably live here until retirement! My husband and I both work for the same company and we get over 6 weeks of vacation time a year and we don't want to give that up!

I have a hangout at WDW. I'm loyal to it. I have never been to Jellyrolls and am looking for an excuse to abandon my hangout and go. Our schedule is always on the first page of this thread. I update it as things are added, changed, finalized etc. We have 6 months to go and women are famous for changing their mind but so far I've done pretty good keeping track. :teeth: You can also PM me if you need to.

Right now Jellyrolls is planned for Sat night after dinner at Le Cellier and some are ding Spectro Magic while some stay for Illuminations. Then we all meet at Jellyrolls.

Yes the trip is still open and you are more than welcome to join! There are cerain deadlines coming up but those are mainly for the restaurant reservations.

None of us really know each other although there is a main chat thread where we are starting to get to know each other. On the first page of this thread is the list of who's going and where they are staying. You can come alone or bring a friend or family member. We have some who are bringing their mom. :teeth: Just no men or kids.

The majority are staying at CSR but we have others spread out. You make your own reservations and airfare so you can book whenever and where ever you wish.

If you have specific questions please feel free to PM me and I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Hope you will be joining us. :)

Official Welcome Breakfast at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom (everyone should try to do this please. It might be the only time we are all together.)

Saturday:

I would need somebody to room with but I guess that will be taken care of by the planners and I would be assigned a buddy??? make your plans, buy your tickets, do the air, don't use joint credit cards for this. pay the minimum for all of the above. finish payments 2 weeks before the trip. by the time the statement comes, you will have told him.
if your hubby checks the accounts on line, act surprised and tell him you will call asap to find out where the charges came from.
that night.........put the kid to bed early and show him what a real man he really is. do that for 3 nights in a roll. putty in your hands.
tell hubby one week before you leave you have to go out of town for a relative. you can claim me, i got your back on this.
or if you have an honest relationship with the hubby, tell him the week before the trip you are going to disney with a bunch of ladies.

friday night: the skillet food and adventure club.

kelly, this is what you do.

make your plans, buy your tickets, do the air, don't use joint credit cards for this. pay the minimum for all of the above. finish payments 2 weeks before the trip. by the time the statement comes, you will have told him.
if your hubby checks the accounts on line, act surprised and tell him you will call asap to find out where the charges came from.
that night.........put the kid to bed early and show him what a real man he really is. do that for 3 nights in a roll. putty in your hands.
tell hubby one week before you leave you have to go out of town for a relative. you can claim me, i got your back on this.
or if you have an honest relationship with the hubby, tell him the week before the trip you are going to disney with a bunch of ladies.




i haven't told my hubby anything yet or my sons.
it would not go over well. i am dropping the bomb on sept 20, maybe the 19 i still have plenty of time to figure that one out.
don't ever worry before you have to.
for me, i can handle a week of screaming and yelling and crying.
but mine will be happy since i didn't use his credit cards for my adventure.

Skillet food is at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Thursday some are going there and some to O'Hanas.

We are all making seperate reservations so there is not a big group discount. But there are alot of good deals out there and if you share a room with someone (you can bring a friend or family member if you want. They don't have to be DISers) the cost goes down alot.

JennyMominRI is in charge of meals. That is the only upcoming deadline we have.
Alicnwondrln is in charge of the official trip tees.
